First, I am a big Ryan Murphy fan. I enjoy everything he does (almost). I do like American Horror (depending on the season) and I loved Glee and the Politician. In Hollywood, Murphy is Murphy. He tells a story. It is a beautiful story of what Hollywood could have been in an alternate universe. What I think I got the most out of it was the what ifs? What if someone had starting casting gay characters so many years ago? What if it was easier to be gay in my youth because Hollywood showed it. I do think that Hollywood (the complex) can change the world. Part of acceptance of gays is because of the acceptance by Hollywood in recent years. Look at Ellen. Who doesn't love …

Just Friends, a Dutch gay movie, stars Josha Stradowski as the protagonist in a gay love movie. As much as I liked the movie, I went nuts for Josha. He's handsome, hung, and has a chiseled physique. Here's a Behind The Scenes look: You can watch the movie here. It's also on Amazon Prime. He looks good in underwear And, without it

If you haven't seem it, I highly recommend "God's Own Country," a new film by writer/director Frances Lee, available now on Netflix. The film is wrongly being compared to "Brokeback Mountain," probably because it's a love story centered around two Yorkshire farm hands. It's a beautiful story, expertly written, directed, and acted. There is lead actor full-frontal nudity, and the cinematography is superb. The ending will make you smile. Josh O'Connor, whom I know as playing an annoying son on "The Durrells in Corfu," delivers a first-rate performance in this film as Johnny Saxby. I believe this effort will have tremendous impact on his career. The character …

Nothing gay about it, but is anyone else enjoying the new Showtime series Homeland as much as I? I went into it very skeptical but now I'm hooked. Good story line, plot, subplots and last minute twists. I'm probably going to get slammed for recommending it, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

This show has turned out to be one of my favorites on TV. Each season gets a bit better. This season (Season 3) just ended and it was a fucking great ending. Each season has been well-written and with a great cast. The storylines are interesting and never dull. If you have missed the Showtime drama, catch up and binge watch it!

Moffie means faggot in some version of South African. But the movie, according to Wikipedia is: Moffie is a 2019 South African-British biographical war romantic drama film written and directed by Oliver Hermanus. The plot revolves around two gay characters Nicholas van der Swart and Dylan Stassen who attempt to come to terms with their homosexuality. Here's the official trailer: Not sure if it is any good. IMBd says: Nicholas has long known he is different, that there is something shameful and unacceptable in him that must stay hidden, denied even. But South Africa's minority government are embroiled in conflict at the Angolian border and all whi…

I love the new series called Vida. It is about a family in LA and the mother was a lesbian and the daughter is also a lesbian. It is quite enjoyable to watch each week. The first 2 episodes were a bit slow but the more I watch it, the more I like it. Is anyone else watching it?

I have really enjoyed Empire since the beginning. I thought Jussie did a great job portraying a gay character as part of the main cast. This week's episode was the last one. It was enjoyable to watch and it ended on a good note. However, I am very disappointed that they mentioned Jussie's character and did not show any scenes of him at all in the last episode. I get it. He fucked up (maybe). But, they used this character's name several times in this episode and flashbacks. But, no Jussie. I was disappointed. It was a let down for me. I know he was not rehired for this season. But, he was such a great part of the show and to even not show old clips of him I thought was sad…

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness is must-see TV on Netflix. It is a jaw-dropping docu-series about some very wealthy, demented people. I found it incredibly sad and pathetic, but nonetheless mesmerizing. You can easily imagine that every single person who agreed to be filmed most likely voted for Trump. This show is true HORROR that actually took place. I had heard about Joe Exotic when he ran for president. Late Night hosts made ample fun of him, but I had no idea he was a gay, big-cat breeder. He was a local "star" in Oklahoma who managed to seduce two, straight meth addicts to marry him (at the same time). This is not a TV show for everyone. …

A sphincter-themed movie is available today on itunes and Amazon. Butt Boy sounds like it will be a national hit...or maybe not. "Detective Fox loves work and alcohol. After going to AA, his sponsor, Chip, becomes the main suspect in his investigation of a missing kid. Fox also starts to believe that people are disappearing up Chip's butt." See the review in today's LA Times: https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/movies/story/2020-04-13/butt-boy-review

I enjoyed Greg Austin's performance as Gordon Selfridge in Mr. Selfridge, playing Jeremy Piven's son. He's all grown up now playing Travis Leach, a young Nazi killer, in Amazon's Hunters. As a Nazi, Austin is absolutely mesmerizing and terrifying, before saying one word of dialogue. The camera loves his face, and in a very deliberate and subtle manner, this boy's talent jumps off the screen with mere facial expressions. Most definitely, he's an actor to watch. He's married to a woman, so I assume he's straight, but damn what eye candy for gay men. It sure would be fun to see him play gay, a la Timothée Chalamet in a terrific project.

I am surprised no one started a thread about this show. Not only is exquisitely written and performed. The sound track hits you almost every single episode if you are in your late 50s like myself. Take special care to the episode about Looking Glass, the sound track has variations on one of my favorite George Michaels' songs. Besides being a exquisite artistic production, it is full of homo-friendly and sex positive clues. Dr. Manhattan's ex girlfriend relieves her nostalgia with a huge blue dildo. There is a long term passionate relationship between two of the super heroes (furthermore, interracial), the White rich one leaves his fortune to the Black Working Class …

I have to say that I really enjoyed this series from beginning to end. Perhaps, too much of my childhood dreams were a part of the enjoyment as I grew up loving everything Star Wars. But, this show was good, has a nice story and was the most streamed show ever this week. It was truly delightful.
