Koko suggested moneygram to me recently and I have used it twice to send money to a Thai guy living in his village up north.
I used the economy system which costs $10. for smaller amounts and $20. for larger amounts. It takes 3 business days and
is taken out of your checking account.
I will set up a K-Bank account this year but for now, moneygram works just fine if you can handle a few days transaction time.

The same poster that was banned here, sparked the agreement between SGT and GB. The hatred he engendered
resulted in a misguided policy that is now regreted by SGT and GB. Amazing how much trouble one poster can do.
-
I didn't mean photos thaiworthy. If you are not in Thailand because of Thai guys, then you are the exception.
If the central interest of posters here is not the Thai young men, then I just don't get it. Why not have some more threads
about what interests us all. This is all getting old for me and I can't seem to satisfy everyone so lets move on.
-
I looked over at gaybuttonthai and saw that FH was accurate and most of the threads were not gay-themed and rather mundane. SGT had more gay related topics but since it is dominated by its owner and his 2 or 3 sidekicks, it gets tedious rather quickly.
I haven't bothered to look at tingtong in
ages and won't look at hedda's neo-conservative musings on baht-stop,
I will just muddle through as each gaythailand will evolve in its own way and
the option of starting my own forum is not a possiblity.
To this fourm's credit, it has a core of supporters who take it seriously and it has improved greatly under the new
management. To satisfy those requesting a substantive response, more threads about Thai young men in all their
glorious aspects would be great. After all isn't that why we are all here.

FH, you have worn me down with all your research, fine detailing and exhaustive recaping.
I don't think there is anything wrong with your threads or postings except they tend to run on and on.
My point is and was that a gaythailand forum should be a GAY Thailand forum. I can go to thaivisa.com
for much of what is posted here and of course I can go to cruisingforsex.com for the explcit sexual threads.
I did not mean to insult thaiworthy. He is a sincere poster and an asset where he posts.
Many posters brownnose the handful of thread starters/forum owners on all the gaythailand forums and it is harmless, just something akin to liking postings on facebook. Again not a bad thing but not very interesting,at least to me.
I have been a fan of this forum from the moment heygay was banned and have been a frequent viewer and infrequent
poster. I am surprised at the strong reaction to my comments and do not mean to insult anyone but only to express
a viewpoint, which I have highlighed above.
I almost forgot to add that my comment about beachlover resembling FH concerned the activity level and not the posting style and did not mean to infer that they were one and the same. God forbid

wow.. obviously there is a cadre of devoted posters here and somewhat thin skinned. I made it clear that my comments
were not criticism and acknowledged the fact that the forum was open to all.
Since the owner takes no positions or role, he leaves it to others to take the lead. Fountainhall is a natural leader but
dry and conservative in his choices of topics. Not critcism, as some are interesting, just not gay...
Michael is the other leader but sporatic and heavily posts/starts thread and then goes silent.
Thaiworthy sense of humour not funny to me but hey, he tries. I would criticize TW as he does tend to brown nose and
idolize a few of the heavy hitters, which can get tiresome.
Man, I am impressed by the time and effort fountainhall puts into his responses. reminds me of beachlover somewhat.
well, thats enough.
Just remember this site is gayThailand
-
Sorry, I missed Michael when I wrote that firecat only starts gay threads. Michael does indeed start many when he is
in Thailand but with fountainhall, tends to dominate the forum.
Of course, it is an open forum and anyone can start a thread but there are times when it seems this forum takes
on blog aspects with a majority of threads authored by fountainhall and michael.
This is not criticism just how I see it.
Agree with some of the above comments and there is a lack of humour and fun and threads can get very dry and
have no relationship with anything gay (which is my basic point).
-
My problem with gaythailand.com is that so few threads are about gay Thailand. Of course we are more than just
gay men but when I come to a forum called gayThailand, I think there should be topics and threads that are
about gay Thailand.
Obviously, most posters here do not agree. Only firecat regularly opens threads with gayThailand topics.
Frankly, I find this forum bordering on a blog, dominated by a few active posters
-
can't figure out why this thread is in the gayThailand section. I guess anything goes and the gay part isn't a factor.

Really sad that Krazy Dragon is doing so poorly under new management. I was blaming the former owners
for the failure of the bar but can now see that the problem lies elsewhere. New boss was adamant about
his viewpoints and was sure he could make the bar work but since it is high season, one can only deduce he
was wrong and needs help.
Maybe the good old days are really gone for the gogo boybars in Sunee.

after finally getting rid of heygay, welcoming beachy back would be a big mistake. Time to get rid of snapshot before
he really gets going with hundreds of postings.

No, the founder/ex-owner is not the only one who differs.
No, every other gay thailand board has not banned the same poster.
Since I don't recall jomtien expressing support, my reference was to all the other posters who commented
earlier. No doubt there are some who haven't expressed an opinion that agree or disagree. One can only reference
those who have expressed themselves.
When I stated lmtu was banned from all the other gaythailand foroms, I meant all the major ones,
gaybutton, sawatdee gaythailand and this forum. No doubt some of the minor forums have not banned him yet.
Fortunately, the boss makes the decisions here and not the former boss or moderators. Reason prevails
-
The majority has spoken. Only the founder/ex-owner differs. Every other gaythailand forum has banned the
same poster. There is an saying that if 3 people tell you that you are drunk, it is time to lay down.

Is this a drag queen only event? Looks horrifying from the photo.
Why Learn Thai?
in Gay Thailand
Posted
TW, UTL is a good school and well worth the experience. I believe it was founded for Christian missionaries needing to
learn the language to spread the gospel. The trick is you need to do a lot of homework, as each session builds on
the preceding ones. It is overwhelming to those who have zero knowledge of the language and many repeat the
sessions until they get it down pat.
I enjoyed the experience many years ago and while I have forgotten much of what I learned, I am pleased to be able
to make myself understood to the Thai guys. I have been asked to speak English instead of torturing some of them
with my Thai.
It is necessary to overcome shyness and to speak Thai even if you are hurting their ears and giving them headaches.
Keep your expections in check and don't expect miracles. If you have a good ear for music, it seems to help with the
tones. The trick is to do lots of homework and spend many hours practicing and don't give up. Easier said than done.
