  1. you have a good heart ! No rush but happy that you did not forget about us
  2. thank you for this and earlier report about Tawan Wonder who that former Tawan boy in Sol could be but hopefully somebody will spy on that for us. Wonder how sound level in Sol was as in January I left bar half deaf. \waiting impatiently for a next installment.
  3. there's one stupid and one smart even if dishonest, guy in the story. Why I fully understand that one can be so drunk that he sleeps on the street, most of us were young at some point of our lives, but why the hell one need golden necklace as a pillow beats me.
  4. on the merit of dispute it's quite possible that tourist could be right but this doesn't mean he should act way he did and for which he will probably pay dearly. Lesson is , repeated often in travel guides and advisories , that wherever payment is made an absence of actual cash register i.e. store it's better to have an exact change or as minimum when handing the note to say denomination 'thousand baht" or whatever. I noticed even in bars waiters are doing that when receiving larger notes. If one needs to get change it's always 7/11 nearby with necessities like water , soap or KY, in Bangkok also BTS stations are handy to do that ( to get change, not buy KY )
  5. unfortunately with drunk drivers there's not much to shield us from this type of accident other than staying home. One may be standing on the sidewalk , safe distance from the curb and still be hit.
  6. I feel sorry for those planning trip there in near future
  7. are you telling us you are not interested in bar being re-opened ?
  8. and we are glad we will be getting new updates from you
  9. but we are deprived pleasure of sitting in the bar and watching the racy show while discreetly surveying the goods
  10. Bangkok / Pattaya discussion is similar to twink/ hunks one or bars/ apps for that matter. Can be discussed to no end and no solution with supporters of either way trading arguments to no end. My personal solution is to spend most of time in Bangkok but make 2-7 days jump to Pattaya obligatory, usually in the middle of trip but for next time, whenever it will be I sternly ordered myself to try new approach - start in Pattaya and finish in Bangkok. As always my old advice ' go and try for yourself " stays as it's best way to build up a plausible opinion. I'm still grateful to our member who when I posted my not so thrilling impression of Pattaya after first jump there commented ' give Pattaya a chance'.
  11. I detect certain shortage of adventurous spirit although it took me 8 or 9 trips to Thailand before I ventured there.
  12. British started it so world followed I guess ................. and universal health care too
  13. accurate or not which can be disputed to no end it's very informative , free of cheap propaganda and easy to watch. Thank you for finding it for us and posting here
  14. neither do I but still consider doing it as those 20 minutes may be better spent clinging to the boy than baht bus railing. I mean it
  15. only in countries and houses where kitchens are big enough I guess.
  16. market rates vary and so do prices , rents etc. One doesn't need to travel far to see differences. 800 baht " massage" tip in soi 6 would be considered cheap, travel 20 minutes to Saphan Kwai and this is exactly what many 'therapists" are quoting
