It is probably very distressing for the original poster, but the simple fact here is that the numbers just don't add up. Some of the additional detail about the significance of becoming a monk is of course interesting, but doesn't change the fact that the numbers make no sense. It's tough but there seems to be only one conclusion that can be drawn here.
