Day 14
 
Before I left home I had really only one thing firmly planned for this trip – to visit Bank Of Thailand Museum  on second Saturday as first one I was in Pattaya. As noted previously during week museum is open only for groups  of at last 20 and by appointment only. On Saturdays there are  4 guided tours available  with 100 free tickets available for each tour at 10.30, 11.30, 12.30 and 1.30.
 
I was prepared to wait but to minimize chances  of being turned away I wanted to be there early so for change this time I was rushing my boy companion in the morning to have  a breakfast together and see you later.
Warned by Christian’s report from the place I took long trousers with me. Fastest way to get there is by a boat and I took Tourist one for 50 baht as it was departing  right away. Boat stops at Tha Phra Athit  from where there’s pleasant walk partially along river with Santiprachakan Park and Phra Sumen fort on the way.
 
Museum is located in old  palace and it was recently renovated, on the same grounds is new Bank of Thailand building.

I was at the gate at 10.15 and guards pointed at my bare knees but as noted I showed them proper attire pulled from my day pack. Then I was informed that 10.30 tickets are gone but for exchange of passport I got one for 11.30 tour. With more then 1 hr to wait I walked around exploring bit of Bangalampu, very quiet compare to hustle and bustle of Silom, had a coffee and even bought decent undies for just 30 baht.
 
Group was split in 3 . Guide we were assigned to was very talkative but since I did not understand what he was saying I had a bit more time to actually see exhibits and palace itself. He even made visitors prostrate in front of figure of previous occupant of the palace, an exercise other groups were spared- I took pains to check. As  a republican I skipped that part as well . But it was interesting and a bit out of ordinary tourist experience, it was only one other farang in our 100 strong group so I can recommend  this to everybody , even those not interested in banking and money matters as palace itself is interesting   and being part of tour with only locals is  different experience than crowding  in tourist infested , more popular places. I was expecting more actual coins and banknotes will be exhibited though.
 
Leisurely walk back to a boat, again I took 50 baht tourist one even if regular 15 baht Chao Praya Express  came actually first but it was quite crowded so I opted to splurge 35 baht extra for a  guaranteed seat .
 
It started to rain and it was raining all afternoon , not that I suffered much since at 3 p.m. I was expecting Dum from last night for another  few hours of intimacy. On the dot, just like Phet on day 1 , at 3 he showed up. He lavished affection,   well rehearsed last night in exchange for short time tip of 2000.
 
It was getting dark when he left  for a bar and I marched slowly through a Patpong and Suriwong to soi Twilight for a massage  at Bangkok Massage. Namu from there is another veteran of many massages and offs and our meeting today was 11th. When we meet first time , back in spring of 2013  he was assigned for me from rotation  so living proof that sometimes blind fate can fix us somebody pleasant and exciting to be with. On top of it he is fun loving  so jokingly suggested we take another boy with us and I saw a candidate right there, Lek a bit feminine boy with bodybuilders body.
 
As usual with Namu lots of fun with massage part fast neglected but I had Lek who at least did that part.
It was supposed to be 1.5 hr. but we expanded it to 2 , no overtime charge though, just regular 1000 they are charging for 4 hands it that much , I don’t remember really.
 
Too bad it’s my last day because there’s another boy there I like , Kai , muscular with bit angelic face but he was busy massaging lady client    at the moment .
 
From there very circular walk toward Tawan  getting sights  and sounds of Patpong  for the last time this trip. It was well before show when I arrived so boys were presenting themselves on the stage and when they saw me , wasteful spender and known 100 baht notes stuffer in their undies , they presented themselves even better so few notes were placed   in their nether regions in exchange for a feel. As usual boys offed this trip got nothing as they got their share of spoils already. What I noticed it was few new boys , mostly aspiring bodybuilders , some very aspiring including # 8 , twinky twink  of size never seen in that kingdom of muscle and meat. It looks Tawan is trying to catch with  those who were afraid to step inside so far.
 
Boonthon #48 , from 2nd night  was making gestures of “I go with you?” kind and nothing and nobody caught with my eye better at the moment so I called him over, no drinks tonight as on the last day I need to watch my pockets and told him to dress only to be hit with news  that he can stay only till 1 because is booked by somebody else after bar closes. Half night for half tip  with steely muscles and great kisser on top of that is just a bargain but I can’t sleep alone on the last night for fear of missing flight. Help is never far there and Dum just happened to be  standing behind  and when Boon explained unfolding problem he agreed to wait until he comes to pick him up at end of his shift   in my room.
 
Off we went , Boon and me , first to Oasis for their signature chicken with cashew nuts. Owner farang recognized me and greeted with ‘ I saw you passing by few times and knew that eventually you will come. Exchanging hand shake with Boon was his nice gesture as well.
 
Then back to the room for world peace discussion combined with flexing muscles  for me , all of them.
Great men specimen he is and like most of straights knows why he is in the business, no drama , no fuss, another ’you happy , I happy ‘attitude.
 
He did not even forget to thank me for  chocolates I bought for his baby last week . His appointment was calling him but he did not pick phone up until I told him he can and even then he told him he will  be wherever at time  agreed not before, exact words.
After exchanging parting kisses he went to Tawan to pick up Dum as discussed previously and I utilized lobby’s computers to catch up with the world while waiting.
 
Few minutes later surprise , surprise, instead of seeing Dum third time today there was some unknown soldier I recalled seeing in the bar. Well built  but not overbuilt ,if given a chance probably I would overlook him but since Boon said something about Dum unable to come ( sure he can have enough of me today but after all he agreed  for another repeat ) I decided to play along with all this pimping and nodded approvingly .
 
At this time what choice I had, only yes or no , ‘no ‘  meaning oversleeping my flight perhaps.
 
It was a bit awkward but in the room with clothes shed it turned not that bad at all , nice and responsive body , good enough to prepare  for long flight specially in view of discounted  , half price tip discussed.
Gave him 500 extra and invited for traditional breakfast after which we parted ways with hug and still wave of arms  from the distance. Day 14 was over.
 
I returned  to the room , packed and in 15 minutes was on my way to Sale Daeng, then Phya Thai, train to the airport, fast  drop off a suitcase and for a change I exchanged leftover bahts for my domestic currency loosing surprisingly little on operation.  70 baht left over I took home hoping it somehow multiplies before next trip in yet  unknown future .

I was expecting accolades of how beautiful Wat Chelo is or being scolded for not posting more pictures / no idea why but can't upload them into post after initial two / but I'm on the way to be public enemy #1 instead   
 
We should not forget we are operating in market economy, if price is too high we can easily find another supplier or try to bargain existing one to reasonable level. Boys tips are not different.
 
I doubt I spoiled market for others that much, not in fact even for myself.
 
Rate becomes standard only if overwhelming majority will pay it. Nothing stops anybody , including me to pay what one considers fair, just make sure boy agrees. Some don't discuss price beforehand and pay what they  think they should, other like me like to have money matter cleared and fix it beforehand. It's all between boy and you / me/.
 
Sure at Tawan I may be marked , in fact I was first to use that phrase  but with exception of first instance when I paid 4000 LT all other 5 cases including 3 this trip were money very well spent according to source  in the know first hand i.e. me.
 
Sure I could stand by my standard 3000 LT tip but I did chose not to spent  much effort bargaining down as It would take lot of fun from me. And I was rewarded nicely. In few cases I was taken for a ride a bit, in other  few I sensed choice was to have dream boy with me or look for cheaper replacement.
 
Men I'm chasing , older and well built are not as ubiquitous like boy-next-door and twink types and by virtuet of being in the business  a bit longer know their worth and in fact can out wait clinet  so I don't assume that they will all be so grateful if they get 2000-2500 LT and my advice to others is  not to make such assumption either. Some , perhaps most will but it will be those who don't. I already told you story of being dumped  mid-bar even if generous fee was negotiated.
 
As Paul remarked above it's our choice to get what we want or to pay what we want, no right or wrong and in fact it may even change from day to day.
 
If boy is too demanding try to bargain price down , if you think he is taking you for a ride, just say ' no ' or ' no,  too much ' and see if he will be more reasonable or simply walk out, lots of fish in the sea but for some of us not all of them taste the same - hence differences in rates we are willing to fork out. 

as for travelling light, answer is yes , here's my main luggage and daypack which works as carry-on on the plane as well.

I also like travelling by public transit and use taxis as last resort, even in Thailand where they are  of great value. Savings realized that way are going straight to pay those inflated boy tips.
 

Day 13

During bar hopping yesterday we decided to materialize earlier plans to see Chang Chui creative area and Christian suggested that on occasion we visit some rural temples in the area so it’s why this morning world saw us boarding 9.20 train to Hua Hin and about 40 minutes later we  left train at Bang Bamru station, impressive white elephant. Bangkok suburban station taking roughly  15 trains a day in each direction but built on impressive scale for reason perhaps even Buddha couldn’t comprehend but certainly whoever made money from construction,  did.
 
To give you and impression, man’s toilet has no less than 17 urinals, that’s seventeen. Perhaps more than in whole Grand Central  station in NYC.
 
But that’s not my problem, we set to our first object Wat Chelo by foot , it did not take long as it’s about 2 km from station and it’s interesting to see how rapidly urban scenery is changing to a village one.
 

 
As you see Wat Chelo is an impressive temple and if was located in city center most likely would be mobbed by tour buses day and night due to unique architecture of temple on the boat.
But where it is , short distance from city’s hustle and bustle it was quiet and serene  and we had it almost to ourselves to explore.
 
Behind the temple is a khlong / channel / easily crossed by the  bridge and on another side we have real village with village’s sounds and smells and village temples and shrines we visited to heed Christian motto that day without visiting temple in Thailand is day lost. Watch his blog as sooner or later he will post his impressions from that trip.

Village dogs guarding it were quite jealous barking hostile but leaving our legs intact on departure. After short stroll through village paths we found glimpse of civilization , road with roadside restaurant where we were only customers on arrival but by time we left all few tables were occupied – sign that we came at lunch time. Christian treated us with lunch , I don’t remember what I eat but it was certainly very tasty and filling, Thai cuisine at it’s best.  
 
 
In meantime monsoon started to be more active with clouds gathering but by time rain arrived we managed to cover some distance to another temple which we could see only from outside as it was in process of renovation  about which we were sternly reminded by lady in charge of the door ‘ You, no !” when we tried to enter.
 
Our survey of BKK outskirts was interrupted by the rain which we outwaited in the nearby bus shelter and after hour or so there we continued back to civilization which appeared  as a railway line so we covered few km on the tracks included crossing few canals on the bridge, quite
 “ Indiana Jones for the poor “  experience  specially when my 2 $ umbrella slipped from my had and felled to a chasm 3 meters below.
 
Main reminder we are not completely in the wild was  cemetery of old plane engines following tracks for a  while but guarded by  a fence and small khlong , wide enough to prevent us from jumping over.
 
Back in BKK we went to Chang Chui place , well visible mainly due to airplane parked in the middle and after paying 20 baht admission we were greeted by the sight of  ‘memento mori “ exhibit.
 
 
Wandered  around shops, exhibits , even had pizza in their pizzeria, not  bad tasting but still distant relative of one from Madrid Patpong. Chang Chui was introduced to us here by reader in the post

It was pretty quiet and perhaps is busier in the evening but it’s clearly aimed at urban motorized yuppies and artsy types as getting there and from by public transport while possible is a bit tedious as we learned on return. While train from Bang Bamru would be best option there was none for next 1.5 hr. so we opted for a bus and it was quite a walk to get to a stop , quite a walk for bus to arrive – it was 5 p.m. on Friday so Bangkok  congestion at it’s best.
 
We took bus 149 going all the way to Sathorn so very tempting. Christian got off somewhere  in between  and I continued toward  Saphan Taksin which was quite breezy but after bus turned toward bridge  we were stuck in the traffic for good and it took exactly 70 minutes to cross the bridge, not a minute less.
 
Driver did not open door so we were trapped inside and for 50 minutes I was quite upset but than , always looking for full half of glass I realized that trap produces substantial savings as my plan was to go to Senso, do your math. 1490 for 1.5 massage and minimum tip 1800 , if M or Jack would be there  it could be 2000.  Long live Bangkok bus thought I after 70 minutes alighting in front of Surasak station and taking BTS home to Nantra.
 
 
My advice to anybody taking Bangkok buses or taxis is to take it to nearest BTS or MRT  whatever it is , continue by rails as close to your destination as possible and then again bus or taxi to a goal.
 
Very busy ,  full of impressions and rare sights thanks to Christian day so I rested  and desoiled myself a bit and for last unrushed night in Thailand ( I still have another night but with morning  departure I will be watching clock a bit ) I couldn’t pick up another bar seeking for companion than Tawan so off I went greeted by few smiles of boys I treated with offs and tips in the past and those who are keen pretenders to those in the future.
 
Few red notes were tucked inside of their briefs. To my surprise one of boys on the stage , #8 was completely out of place , regular twink , not even aspiring body builder , one our resident twink admirers would be happy to contemplate to take home. Possibly they decided to diversify a bit.
 
Tonight I had sights on #6 , Dum, I noticed him keenly in Dec and was glad to see him this time. Issan native with very black skin and full , African like lips. Could be taken for a black boy. Well and proportionally built , not  a bodybuilder but muscular type and smooth like a baby, knowing that I have sights on him ( one night passing by boys drinking after Tawan closed I told him one day he is mine) called by mamasan  because I did not see him come all in smiles.
 
Boon #48 was making motions from the stage hoping he will be my choice again but even him when saw Dum at my sight made an approving , fingers up,  gesture.
 
I was watching show a bit but mixture of fatigue after such  a busy day and curiosity how new for be boy turns out I decided to grab him and run. We skipped usual food part as he was not hungry and I had something in the room before going to bar as well.
 
As I said , at Tawan I’m marked men so of course his tip request was inflated, but I settled on 4000 I paid to other two their boys hoping I get value for my money ( and stabilize some heart beat rates of people reading this ). Gamble paid off , absolute gem,  quite passionate and those lips !!!.
 
He was not in rush to go home but I had some morning plans so at 8  asked him to come at 3 p. m.  for a short round ,  he agreed we were both happy happy marching to Foodland for a  customary breakfast    finishing another impressive day , this time 13th of this trip.

Met a lovely Thai fellow on the street in Jomtien.  We went to my room and had a wonderful time together.  After some fun he went and opened up a bottle of scotch from the mini-bar and poured himself a drink!  I did not say anything but did make a slight questioning look on my face?  He noticed and smiled and informed me that he was the manager of the hotel!!  Sure enough, about ten minutes after he left one of the staff brought an unopened bottle to the room!!!

It would depend if boy is sitting alone or with others and also of I know boy personally  from previous offs or jus from seeing him in bar.
 
Boy sitting alone -  If I offed him previously and I liked experience   I'd join him immediately even if not intended to off  him , probably ordered drink for both of us , chated him a bit and most likely  offered to pay for his meal if any. This should improve karma and chances of getting that smile next time I see him on the stage.
 
If I know him only from bar but never met before I'd leave him alone if not intended to off him tonight unless we got an eye contact than I'd say ' Hi mister Tawan / Jupiter / Super A/ whatever" thus giving me a chance for that smile in the bar next time. The same if I meet boy walking on the street, always greet him if we got an eye contact.
 
If I like to off sitting alone boy in any case I'd approach, invite myself to seat beside /across the table  and without much decorum ask him ' are you free tonight" if 'yes" ' do you go with me tonight" , if 'Yes" than do my usual time and tip negotiations .
 
Boys are in the business so no need to built sophisticated conversation structures.
 
If boy is sitting  with other boys I'd first try to get an eye contact and if got one motion him to step for second of semi- private chat. 
If no eye contact achieved I'd not be stepping to join a party unless 100% sure all members of party are bar boys - this is sometimes a case of Tawan boys having drink in front of 7/11 after bar closed. With their boys since my face is somewhat recognized by at least a few I's not have any hang ups of joining them if  only to have a chat or shake hands.
 
But generally as always I try not to push myself into boy's arms to to speak but rather wait for a signal from him he is interested or at least he acknowledges my presence.
 
Case of #60 on day 11 was an exception , due to his popularity I decided to act right away. It was the same with Mekhin from old Jupiter in December.  I remember old song my father used to hum 'good luck smiles at us only once" and sometimes it pays to forget about our own rules and inhibitions.

Day 12
    For a change lonely breakfast at Foodland , then some internet and a bit of tourist program.
I took Chao Praya Express boat  to Tha Thewet pier / 15 baht / , than walked to Bank of Thailand museum newly opened in old palace near Rama VIII bridge.

Weekdays museum is opened by an appointment only for groups of at least 20 but on Saturdays there’s free access with 4 guided tours at 10.30, 11.30, 12.30 and 1.30, each tour takes 100 visitors on first come, first served basis. Since today is only Thursday  I was turned away but it was expected. From there tuk-tuk to Sanam Luang to get a glimpse of structure containing crematorium for the  late King funeral in October.
 
Did not see much as area is fenced off , construction still going and hordes of both mourners and tourists crowding sidewalks and streets. But people watching was interesting and I had another motive in mind.
 
Today Bank Of Thailand released for circulation new banknotes commemorating life of the late King. Faces are identical to currently circulated but reverses are different showing different scenes from monarch’s life and   works. I was prepared to pay premium, there were few vendors offering them for 2000 per set while  face value is 1670 (20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 ) but I found somebody offering set for 1800, reasonable 130 baht extra and purchased it meeting  my goal for the day.
 
 
To return I took Chao Praya Turist Boat, more expensive than regular boat but with guaranteed seat. It circulates between Saphan Taksin and Tha Thewet , departures are every 30 minutes . Day ticket costs 180 allowing unlimited hop-on, hop-off option while one ride one can be purchased for 50 and this is what I did. 3 times cost of regular boat but still very reasonable and comfortable and comfortable with announcements in English. It’s not new concept but now is much better organized and easy to go about, Recommended wholeheartedly, worth extra 35 baht.
 
At 6 I was expecting Christian PFC, jet lag disappeared long time ago so this time I could open door, not like 1 week ago when I felled down  to jet lag and did not even hear his knocking.
 
We discussed sightseeing plans for tonight and tomorrow, I showed him new banknotes and we went to Madrid Tavern in Patpong for treat of their pizzas . As usual we ordered two different and shared them 50/50 but there pizza is always good, whatever one chooses and this comes from vinapu who normally doesn’t even consider pizza fit for human consumption.
 
I shared with him my impressions from week in Pattaya and Christian suggested  we  check on Super A in soi 6. Off we went. Since my last visit in May 2015 they spruced it a bit , it seemed cleaner and lights a bit brighter although it’s still pretty dark inside. Even nicer surprise were boys , although dressed in jeans and shirts quite a few out of about 8 present turned out to be quite good looking , not hunky but boy next door types,  at least three offing material for me.
 
 
Christian is more demanding but even him spied somebody attractive who disappeared upstairs to sleep but he did not accept excuse and asked to bring boy downstairs  to treat him with a tip. In meantime some other farang appeared and I invited one of boys for a drink and gentle indecent touches which shortly turned out to be more smart than I thought. Heavens opened with an impressive rain and we were trapped inside , not a bad thing considering both us  were entertained by somebody we liked.
 
 
Just before 9 p.m. rain suddenly stopped and we left , my companion 300 baht richer than before rain.   Whole soi 6 was under ankle deep water but fortunately Christian had flip-flops and I some plastic Birkenstocks so we just waded through it to Suriwong.
 
 
Passing by Tawan we just peek inside but as expected Christian did not see anybody even remotely attractive and I had other plans for tonight. Surprisingly , few minutes after such heavy rain streets came to life like nothing happened.
 
 Next stop was Hot Male  upstairs and we arrived just before show. Other than us there were only 2 other patrons but they decided to carry on with show anyways . On stage I recognized few boys from the past , few tips were distributed , Christian also met few faces already known to him and shorty after the show we parted our ways. He went home and I set for Jupiter in soi 4 hoping to finally reunite with Oud, successful transplant from Tawan and boy I offed already 8 times this century.
 
 
Show was almost over last number being shower show Oud was in so  I did not wait long and as soon as he was free we set of to Thaniya to get some food. I walked and he came soon  after on his new shiny motorcycle , donation  from  his Chinese lady customer I saw in the bar last week. Now how I look like being called two week millionaire here in comparison of such lavish compensation ? I feel like cheap Charlie on sale, LOL..
 
But I did not expect any fuss and rightly so from boy who always calls me ‘my vinapu’ and once claimed ‘if you happy I happy”. Only thing I noticed was that with his recent good fortune he was bit more confident than before and it showed even on the stage. He treated himself with some insects treats but I politely declined to partake.
 
As expected from such a veteran of many offs in the room all went according to well rehearsed routine we have  minus serious reduction in whisky we shared – looks he is serious about being now motorcycle driver. In the morning he even made sure I’m happy by asking “ do you like me ? ”
 
 Usual 3000 LT tip accepted with smile, this was part we did not discuss beforehand as I assumed with so many offs before we both know what we get from each other.
 
Again , motorcycle trip to Foodland Patpong for breakfast , slightly  unusual as for drink he asked for milk, second only time I saw Thai boy  drinking milk. I finish day 12 by being driven on his impressive machine to Hualampong but this is story for day 13.

Day 11    
 
Time to return to BKK although no harm would be done if I cancelled my reservation at Nantra  and extended stay by day or two but I decided to stick to the plan. Packed fast and shortly after world saw me walking toward Jomtien bath bus stop as this time I decided to return by Jomtien airport bus instead of my usual Ekkamai one from North Bus Station.
 
On the vehicle one good hearted farang noticing that I’m watching route closely while holding luggage ( I’m not that  familiar with Jomtien) told me that he will alight at the same stop so I can just follow him stop  “because you don’t want to miss your flight”. When I told him I’m just going to BKK using airport bus he was surprised declaring that in many trips he never thought about such a great idea.
 
My luck continued when it turned I purchased last ticket for 11 a.m. bus departing in few minutes. 120 baht and exactly 90 minutes later I alighted at Swampy to a thrill of feeling like I arrived in Thailand again – an additional bonus of using airport bus.
Usually we don’t spent much time in the airport but this time  in no rush to catch flight or go to the hotel after long flight I wandered  a bit surveying shops in the   lowest level and having lunch of coconut soup  with rice there. Train to Phaya Thai and BTS to Silom , road well travelled for 45+28 baht and after a week I’m back.
 
What is also back is rain , while Pattaya was dry area ,  Bangkok did not forget that it’s rainy season. There were no hangers in the room so went down to reception to ask for some but always self-sufficient I went to market in soi 3 across and bought 10 of those for 40 baht , my gift to the Nantra.
 
Then had that enlightening moment and decided to go to Senso, along with Arena and Bangkok Massage soi Twilight place I visit every trip. While some are complaining(rightly) about their high prices I never been disappointed there and was hoping my favorite Jack will be there.
 
What is funny and I never know why, after so many visits to all kinds of bars and massage places in Thailand  both Arena and Senso are still places when I get some thrill and goose bumps when approaching and I like that feeling. It ‘s like being first time ever and no other places are generating that thrill.   My only explanation would be that I never was disappointed in either and now while opening door I noticed somebody I did not expect to see at all .M, star of few of movies from GThai series was back.
 
Last time I was in Senso they told me he left for good and this was corresponding with what he told me when I met him before, that he is going to quit. But he was there in flesh right in front of me beaming smile of surprise at him. So it went without saying I’m taking 1.5 hr. session (1490, minimum tip 1800) as 1 hr.  for 1000, min. tip 1200 would definitely not be enough for reunion.
As usual in Senso he left me to shower alone and  soon after I succumbed to his long and strong strokes, as recorder here in one of my previous reports I considered his massage among 5 best ever.
 
This time he even let me to touch him before massage was over, an option I abused liberally and to top an experience we had good conversation in meantime about his reason to return ( more or less he was bored and missed hustle and bustle of work, too young to live a life of old man as he put it.). Mirror on the wall definitely added to the experience and I noticed he likes to see himself in it as well, a bit of vanity I guess considering his fit and smooth body.
 
One of best moments of this trip, worth such extortionate fee and 2000 tip I left.
 
Then I decided to park myself in one of bars at end of soi  4 to have a dinner there as well as to survey Jupiter boys coming for work. A lot of fun watching waiters trying to entice tourists to patronize  their bars and to watch visitors trying to pretend they are in that gay soi by mistake. I was hoping I will catch Oud from Jupiter  but did not see him and instead of going inside I decided to go to Jupiter ‘s old location to check on Boy66 bar there
 
. Show was about to start and about  10  boys were presenting themselves on the scene Jupiter style  i.e. lacking smile and eye contact. Some of them new and some familiar faces from Jupiter 2002. Not more than 10 people in the audience , me being sole farang rest being Asians and much younger then me at that.
 
Almost  right after my drink arrived I was electrified. Tam , former number #60 from Jupiter   appeared  on the scene   wearing the same number.
 
Of all boys I ever saw in Thailand in both bars and massage places he is probably best built and has nicest smile and it was time I had such hots for him that  I was ready to fork out 200 $  for chance of having short time with him. Never did though as he was always booked already and did not pay any attention  / smile ! / to my presence.
 
On top of that he had a bit of bad publicity , one of our member whose judgement I trust completely advised me against ever engaging him after  very , very disappointing off he had with him, an impression reinforced by few equally decisive warnings here and on another forums.
 
But this was then and it was not me, now I knew is my moment or never. Since  mamasan was standing right there I asked him to call boy over and  he came immediately. Hand shake,  drink and immediate confirmation that he will go with me but after show , he will not do long times, is top only and not gay  and prefers to make me happy and go  as he put it. Quoted 2500 fee,  very high even for BKK but with that body I was prepared for perhaps even more had he requested it.  
 
The same amount was quoted by mamasan when I paid off fee after Tam left me to take part in the show so perhaps this is what he commands.
 
Show very similar to one in old Jupiter and during performance my newly acquired friend did not even look in my side  once but this did not bother me at all , whole excited  about second dream come true in one day. I did not expect much so it was easy wait.
After the show he duly appeared at my side , promised to show up in 5 minutes dressed and ready to go so all good so far.
 
He did not mind to walk to Nantra which I took as good sign   and as we walked it start raining so we ( I) bought an umbrella in 7/11. Some small talk as we walked , English good enough to converse but when asked why he did not move with Jupiter to new place he just shrug off. I know that he was working for  a while at Dreamboys.
 
In the room  no problems showering together so soaping such great body was quite a thrill and for a straight boy he was quite happy to   succumb to my mutilations and worships. True professional although at end he mention he doesn’t enjoy it since he is not gay but If I liked it he is happy for me.
 
All in all I liked it, extremely happy I had a chance to put my hands on such a hunk. He had his limitations but since they were communicated up front I knew what I’m into . Did not notice any attitude either other than quiet resignation that those strange gay people seem to be enamored in him and since they are willing    to pay he has no choice other than yielding to their pleasures. I’m glad I finally had a chance to off him and if somebody asks if I’d do then same again answer is firm ‘yes’ as such a body can’t be wasted on girls only.
 
After he left I made my rounds around Silom , Suriwong and Patpong hoping that perhaps unengaged Tawan boys will be still drinking in front of 7/11 but did not see  anybody so returned home and went to bed alone sleeping soundly after those two meetings with semi-gods of my dreams. And day 11 was over.

The dress code certainly does not formally apply to foreigner. Even on Thai people other than government employees it is not a legally enforceable thing. Most (at least in BKK), of course, will comply. However, I would feel very awkward indeed wearing colorful clothes in a sea of black and white. I've not been wearing overly colorful clothes since one year, have gone to even more subdued since Oct. 1st, and will go black from Oct. 13. If tourists are doing this, Thais do appreciate it (I received comments to that effect last year in the weeks after his death), but obviously not all tourist arriving in that period can be aware of any kind of dress code. After all, if the Queen of England were to pass away, no such dress code would be imposed or even recommended (I guess)..
 
As for things and entertainment being toned down, that will certainly happen. A small indicator might be that since Oct 1st. in shopping malls, supermarkets, BTS and MRT stations and in trains they play somber (mourning) music.Also, some companies, including Tesco-Lortus with all their 1900 branches nationwide as well as Major Cineplex with 119 branches nationwide, have started to announce closure of business onOct 26 to allow employees to follow the ceremonies; more are sure to follow.

I'm urban person and always was ( my first 21 years I was living on the main square of city I was born in)  and I love  Bangkok, perhaps more than any other city I have been and not only because ubiquitous eye candy.
 
Spending vacations in a big city is my idea of fun  , while other are frying on the beaches I like to pound the streets but even me,  free spender on vacations ( I'm very low maintenance at home so must splurge from time to time for mental sanity ) see that Bangkok is becoming an expensive proposal compared to Pattaya.
 
Still can live with that  but recently simply I had better luck with Pattaya boys hence more vacation days allotted to Pattaya and an extension. I think splitting 50/50 may be my plan for a future. This trip another factor kicked in - all days in  Pattaya were dry and sunny while Bangkok had expected rains , on two occasion very heavy ones. But joy of Thai rains is that they never last long so it's easy to outwait them by parking oneself over the meal or beside the boy.

Day 10
 
Very pleasant , sunny weather with quite strong breeze from seaside so I decided to spent it on my feet and set off for long walk along the Beach Rd  to Dusit Thani . What was shocking was filth on the  beach , certainly such popular resort , even if of dubious reputation should do much better.
 

 
At Dusit turned inland to Dolphin andNaklua Rd and marchedall the way  to Sanctuary of Truth . Last time I visited place back in 2015.
 
 
Did not go in but returned to Dolphin circle and kept marching along Second Rd stopping here and there. Had fish massage in  a  store close to Central Festival Mall  and repaired my cracked heels by forcing myself to do pedicure for first time ever. Certainly Pattaya class is seeping into my head.
 
Visited Night Market nearby to buy another multipocketed shorts. Wandering about the market I spotted very interesting stand selling wall clocks, very fancy ones, one of the kind type. Did not ask for price and don’t expect them to  be cheap but certainly having   device like that on the wall would be talk of family and friends, Now , typing this I think it was mistake not to buy one. Another reason to visit Pattaya in the future.
 
Finally arrived to BT but stopped in the hotel just to freshen up and then set off for Pratamnak Hill, This is my 7th visit in PTT and never been there so decided it’s long overdue. Great vistas from Big Buddha and even greater from other side where admiral statue is. Pretty big crowds there due to several tour buses parked on the pass disgorging hundreds of noisy Chinese visitors.
 
Down to Walking str and walk toward hotel with dinner stop at Alt Heidelberg again.
It was darkening already when I returned to the soi to take well deserved shower and shave for my last Pattaya night.
 
As every day   parked myself at Oscar to have some beer with boys and distribute some tips as token of appreciation for fun I had there daily. Soon williewillie showed up with his farang  friend and few patrons who were daily visitors just like me. Oscars provides perfect vantage point for BBB boys coming for work and in meantime exercising in front  of the bar.
 
And who it was? Art  and super handsome Cambodian I spotted another day. I should forfeit Nantra Silom reservation and stay there for one or two days more  to have a chance to put my hands on that man. Sometimes we are just slow thinkers and it does us  no good.
 
Hope he still will be there next time but who knows. Seeing those two exercising together was true balm to the eyes but as soon as my beer was finished I waved Art with let’s go motion, paid 500 off fee, forced 100 again into Cambodian’s  pants and followed Art to my room.
 
It was actually head turning march since being right after exercising he decided to walk to the hotel bare chested , quite  a sight, quite  a sight believe you me.
 
Good thing I had small bottle of SongSom in the room he was kind to help me to empty but we did not forget about massage and exercises. Again one of best massages I had.  I asked him about lady he was sitting and drinking with yesterday. It was just talk and drink , no off and only 100 baht tip. Now I understand that sometimes patrons are snatching boys sitting with others. I should do the same yesterday.
 
Since I had Ko already arranged for tonight I lost all hope of having long time with Art and Cambodian but at least I have a motivation to return. Never during those days I forget that I’m missing one more boy, Bank . Veteran of 10 offs and 5 days trip to BKK was missing this time but was assured by few mamasans and boys that he will be back.
 
Fine but will I be back? Big hope YES.
 
Not long before midnight I made trek with him back to the bar for last chance to shed some money of my pockets. Keow the hunk,  beautiful Cambodian, one more veteran and one of mamasans who recognized me in the first evening got some parting notes
 
At midnight I left , grabbed Ko from Copa  but not before extracting another hug from Kao who showed up today after few days of absence. Another energetic night with Ko, quite fitting for that fabulous , eye candy filled week in Pattaya. Tip the same , he said boss charged him off fee last night , no way of verifying that and not even desire on my part so gave him that 400 extra.
 
We finish day 10 with breakfast , this time back to normal, mine was an American and his Asian one.

Day 9
 
Quite early breakfast left me some time to catch up with news and internet and then leisurely walk to
Bali Hai to catch my ferry to Hua Hin. I was a bit later than recommended 9 a.m., boarding procedures  airport like . In the shaded  waiting room there are no facilities and no bar  so make sure you have something to drink if you think you may need it.
 
For trip there I opted for business class on the upper deck where party room with 8 seats which can be booked for 14000 one way is also located but I did not see any takers.
 
 
Seats are assigned , we were treated with refreshing towel and two drinks and on the dot at 10 a.m.  ferry sailed toward Hua Hin. Sea was quiet, weather sunny and whole trip was very uneventful I even dozed of for a while .  It took exactly 2 hrs to get to Hua Hin pier where passengers were greeted with multitude of taxi touts.  Apparently fare downtown is fixed at 200 baht but me , having only 1 hr in disposal admired climbable  rock rising out  of the sea right at pier and strolled about the beach , quite quiet at that noon hour.
 
Boarding procedures the same, on return trip I economized by taking economy class , at 1250, 300 baht cheaper than business one and comfortable enough. No need to splurge unless one is inclined to or ferry would be crowded which was not a case today, perhaps 20 % of seats were occupied only , if that much.
 
We were treated with drink. It looks that there are facilities for  a bar on the ferry  but nothing was operational so again bring your own refreshments.
Again smooth sailing , just 2 hours from 1 to 3 and Pattaya emerging from the sea looked actually quite impressive on that sunny day.
 
 
Very positive experience and highly recommended as bus trip probably would take 5-6 hrs. Ferry is very comfortable and while 1250 fare is not exactly cheap for Thailand found it good value for money considering comfort and time savings. For those vacationing at either end it provides an option  for nice break for day or two in somebody is inclined. After spending good part of day so far sitting I gladly had a circular walk to BT by way of Tuk Com, passing by quiet Sunee on my way and treating myself with banana pancake somewhere.
 
Back in hotel shower and walk across the soi to Body Club at  Ambiance where since arrival I’m spying very hunky masseur so time to succumb to his mutilations. Other boy I had massage with 2 days ago seemed disappointed it was not him this time but all deserve their access to my pocket and hunks have kind of priority. Great body and strong massage , what was surprising for boy with such  a massive muscular body he was a bit feminine in behavior and speech  or at least that was my impression but with this kind of body I feel he deserved 1500 baht tip.
 
Well massaged went to metal table restaurant near XBoys/ I’m sure she has name , I just did not get it / for    my usual monodietc  treat of chicken with cashew nuts   although as remarked before , in Pattaya Wiener schnitzel from Alt Heidelberg gives cashews run for money.
 
Then my daily beer and fun conversation with boys at Oscars and after   a while jump to BBB hoping Art will be available for 2-3 hr session but he was sitting with some Oriental  lady in the first row helping her to empty sizable bottle of whisky. I noticed one extremely handsome faced boy in track pants on the stage , from mamasan I learned he is Cambodian and I must say so handsome that I just could sit and look at him to no end.
 
Unfortunately after I slipped 100 baht in his pants he disappeared , presumably in preparation for the show and I decided to check 360 bar as they advertised also show at 10.30.
 
 
Very neat and modern , strangely shaped but I liked it. Only 5 spectators , show brief with three numbers but quite well presented and erotic and I liked it. Another,  after ferry and massage at Ambiance with the hunk   positive experience , I’d say 360 would be my 2nd choice as a bar after BBB in Pattaya. Distant second but still second. Sure XBoys has more explicit show but is smoke and loud music infested so only fits on the podium as third . Drink 200.
 
 
About 8 boys , next door type and definitely off material if only I was in PTT longer. Tipped 100 baht one best looking on departure  as is my habit and returned  to soi 3 since previously I arranged that I take Ko , the masseur for Copa who did not show up few days ago  for long time.
 
Very energetic at massage and almost as good looking as his co-worker Kao. Not exactly quiet night which taking into consideration his energy was expected. 2000 plus 400 off fee in case they will charge him even if I took him at end of his shift another energizing encounter funded by well spent money.. And I did not waste an opportunity to secure his presence for next night tonight, I don’t even recall who suggested it first , me or him but certainly it was good idea.
 
I like Pattaya more and more.

Day 8
 
Today is last day I have hotel reservation in New Café Royal  and one I planned to make a decision what to do in next two days- stay in Pattaya or return to Bangkok. If stay in Pattaya , question to answer is where, still in BT or  move to either  Sunee or Jomtien. This was plan devised before I came here.
 
This morning in view of last two days I don’t have any doubts what I want to do  - stay here in BT where I belong and have fun so far.
 
Handsome receptionist in New Café Royal was kind  to leave me in the same room for the same price I paid originally with benefit of breakfast for two as in original reservation. I paid 2720 for those additional two nights and took motorsai taxi to Bali Hai pier to buy tickets for  ferry to Hua Hin and back. This I had planned in case I will stay in Pattaya. I don’t have any interest in Hua Hin but for fun wanted to see how this new acclaimed ferry works.
 
Ferry has separate ticket office in the pier building on the 2nd floor and is very well posted, There was no problem with getting ticket but girl there seemed to find exotic an idea of me sailing there and immediately back in the same day and called another girl with  better  English. I can swear that Thai words she said to her were something like ‘ this farang is  so stupid I can’t believe so you better confirm  if I’m hearing him right” . Confirmed that this is what I really want I got my tickets .
 
For trip there business class for 1550 and for sailing back economy one for 1250, total of 2800, sounds  like off fee, drink and boy’s tip. I was instructed to be at pier 1 hour before once a day 10 a.m. departure.
 
Rest of day spent wandering lazily here and there about Pattaya sois and Beach Rd with sole aim of wasting time and energy. After al today is breaking point of my trip and from evening I’m closer to departure than arrival. Just before sun set another dinner in Alt Heidelberg restaurant. Wait for my  meal shortened by being chatted up by typical example of one of sad faced  Pattaya expats with litany of complains how expensive it is and how demanding and greedy girls become   in comparison to glory days of past and even my habitual phrase that in the past even water was more wet    was met with approving and compassionate understanding.
 
Then is was time to return to soi and as usual have a seat at Oscars where I found williewillie parked already boys in conversation with freshly arrived in Thailand two young Russians. I did not waste that opportunity to switch to Russian if only to impress them and boost my self-esteem by them being impressed. It worked, LOL. Since they expressed an interest in special show we instructed them to check XBoys .
 
 
In meantime I kept an eye on goings around BBB and for a good reason  - I wanted another massage from Art .As it turned he also was keeping watchful eye and as soon as he saw me he came to make sure I’m still interested in his company tonight.  Mutual understanding at it’s best. At 9.00 p.m. I went to the bar , paid off fee of 500 and we marched back to hotel , not sure who was happier but we both were.
 
Still he did not want long time but was not in the rush to leave so we had good 2.50 – 3 hrs together not exactly spent discussing world peace but some conversation we had. Again great , fast paced , long stoked massage and great time together, another candidate for only hand holding session.
 
 
I actually never did it but for my personal use if I  classify boy they I could off him only to hold hands with him , dressed or not, it means he is top of top of the line for me. There are few of those brilliants  still in business and at end of day primary reason to fly half globe across.
 
Just before midnigt  he left and I was in no mood to sleep in the cold bed so decided to check only bar in the soi I did not visit this trip, you are right – Toy Boy. Since there’s circulating opinion that those lingering outside are just bait or available for girls only I was not even in the mood to check accuracy of those claims and went inside. 
 
As before and it was not my first time in that bar on offer are mostly twinks , among them one Vietnamese boy discussed and showed in this forum not long ago. Nice face but slim bodied I kind of had problem to chose one I’d like to take with me , few were smiling at me , making inviting gestures etc so finally settled on one who had hair style I like.  If can’t have muscle at least I will have some face to look at. Waved over drink bought to smooth  up an  interview process. Long time OK  wants 2500,  2000 offer accepted. Usual question ‘ do you want et something?’ answered ‘yes”   ,” where you want to go?” , ‘up to you” so we went to my favorite metal tables on corner of soi where XBoys are but half way to,  all of the  sudden he changed mind that he is not hungry and we can go to the room.
 
So we went and it was quite OK but after few hours , it was like 4 a.m. he woke me up asking for some money because he wants to go to Wat Chai to buy some food because he’s hungry. Not a good sign so I gave him half agreed tip / 1000/ and went to bed not even sure he will return- I had cases  like that ending with no-show.
 
But after while knock to door wake me up, he was back. Then in 15 minutes he needs to smoke, OK open window and smoke. Back to bed for ½ hr. perhaps  , he needs to go to 7/11 to buy some cigarettes and a beer.
 
 
Firm candidate to one of  worst offs  ever thought I and when he returned , opened beer for me and him and after few gulps asked whether he can go I gave  him my permission and other 1000 of agreed tip,  happy him and happy me that he is gone. 
 
So much for those economical long time rates I thought. Since it was 6 a.m. already I decided on early breakfast and waiter did  not say anything but clearly was  a bit surprised seeing me sitting alone . 
 
 
Not exactly thrilling  end of day 8 but look at full half of glass – at least it was over.

Of all the reasons not to pay the tip someone wants to, these are about the worst. Apart from Vinapu being allowed to do what he likes with his money, giving an occasional boy a large tip simply reinforces good service. The complaint that all prices will go up is simply not true. If a boy gives really good service and gets a really good tip it reinforces the fact that if he does good things he gets paid a lot. The reverse is also true. If you give the same crap tip no matter how good the boy is, you teach the boys that they may as well do a crap job because the money is the same no matter what.

Day 6
 
If one bothers to read these reports from rainy season trip may notice that it is actually very little mention of rain. There’s  good reason  for that, other than first day storm and occasional short drizzle so far there’s no rain. Skies are sunny and only reminder about wet season so far is humid in the air. 
 
After boy left I went to soi Post Office to internet café to deal with some e-mails and other internet traffic . I made my tablet working but still don’t like typing on it. Beside me was sitting chatty American, avowed  Trump supporter who talked  quite a bit  and while listening I thought POTUS better delivers because lots of his people have a lot of hopes invested in him.
 
When subject came to European style   health care he labelled it as usually Americans do  socialist heath care and I resorted that this is not socialist care , it’s members of society taking care about each other.  “ I never thought like that” he said , “you gave a lot to think about this afternoon”. So by coincidence I turned out to be a bit of communist agitator corrupting healthy capitalist minds. LOL
 
 
In the evening small forum meeting at Oscars. From posts here I suspected that there are few members in Pattaya at that time  so sent few PM’s asking if they are willing to shake hands with disclaimer that no offence will be taken if they are not interested for whatever reason. Some prefer to be anonymous , others may not like me or my posts  , others still may have better idea of vacation fun that meeting with farangs. 
 
Williewillie and aussie_ were interested so we arranged for highest level meeting this evening.
 
It gave me a chance to reveal to williewiliie that we were already sitting beside each other 2 days ago and we had a good laugh. Nice conversation over beers and coffee and then aussie_ and me took off to Alt Heidelberg for  a dinner and from there to Sunee to survey some bars.
 
 While I’m not into twinks at all, I like bar hopping and am not averse to see what other side like aussie_ likes . At least it’s sure thing we will not be fighting about the same boy.
 I’m not aiming at anybody but at times I’m surprised when people are talking how unsightly Tawan boys are while at the same time admitting they never put foot inside. At least I know what others like and are fond of.
 
Nice Boys were pretty busy with few boys on stage presenting their wares already and willing to show more for  a consideration so few tips were distributed. After while we changed scenery to Winners , bar I never was in previously. Less busy than Nice boys with few in the audience and cheapest drinks in industry at 75 baht so for 1000 baht one may have quite a party there.
Again,  like in Nice Boys quite a few boys nice to look at but none I’d even remotely consider taking home unless very pressed for company but I realize that many would say the same about boys I’m salivating about. As said many times before none is better or wiser and such diversity helps to keep all kinds of boys occupied.
 
Then we decided to see show at XBoys so marched back to BT. Nothing new with show but I think they toned down volume of music thanks heaven . Boy I offed 2 nights ago smiled immediately perhaps hoping for repeat but I had other designs for tonight although not sure it will work. After we left I walked aussie_ to a Jomtien baht bus stop, thank you again for a lovely company and an interesting evening  , quite diversified in entertainment .
 
Boys at BBB don’t have numbers now , they wear name tags and  had my eyes from day 1 on Keow, hunky hunk who will be at home at Tawan  . He did not express much of interest in me, read ‘ not at all ’,   no shock here , until   I tucked reddie in his briefs during big cock solicitations. And tonight I came in the right , exactly the same moment. He did not forget who generous farang me was , so hasted to come to collect his note with wide smile and I was not about to waste such an opportunity so motioned him to sit down for a usual interview : ‘you go with me’, ‘yes’, ‘long time?’, ‘yes’, “how much you want?”, ‘3500’, ‘3000?’,  ‘no 3500’, WTF , this is not a BKK so I tried again ‘I give you 3000”, ‘OK” and my silent ‘ yessssssssssssss” .
 
 
What a catch ! In meantime waiter was trying to entice me to buy boy drink at 450 but I said no, I’m taking him. Since he is show boy they charged me 800 off fee, no way I’d be forking 450 for  a drink particularly that late, earlier it would make sense if only to make sure he will not go astray with some other admirer. Happy, happy me marching with him across the soi to my room, knowing smile of girl on reception was priceless and made me proud  of my catch even more.
 
His English is very limited which worked very well since no time was wasted for  a conversation and nirvana could be started right away. Very energetic night although we got some sleep and when we opened eyes at 7 a.m.  I could not miss that proposal – you stay till 10 and I give you 4000 / readers please stop screaming , see the man first ! /.  Money has  spoken and I was contemplating next extension but at 10 he mentioned being hungry and I realized I’m as well .
 
 At tip distribution was that cold moment I mentioned in another thread, I dug out 1000 baht from pocket , gave to him and his face freeze for a second with an expression not even anger but big disappointment or who knows what but I did not torment him longer than 1.5 seconds and told him he will get what was promised in a moment as I have more money in the box.
 
So another late breakfast , this time with a view of broad shoulders    and day 6 was over with very clear pattern visible – I enjoyed those overpaid offs exponentially more than ones I managed to economize on.  Thanks God for Thailand where dreams are coming true at reasonable cost. I don’t want even think of how much 10 hr. long , no rush  overnight witch such a hunk would cost me at home but certainly several times more than equivalent of 4000 baht plus 800 off fee.

Day 5
 
That was morning when I finally figured out  what is wrong with my tablet ( having  it plugged when reinstating power in the room ). We are supposed to be in the middle of rainy season but weather so far is hot , humid and sunny. I took motorsai taxi to Bali Hai pier to see that new Pattaya’s toy – ferry to Hua Hin.
 
There’s only one sailing a day and ferry already departed but two other identical  vessels were still moored at the pier, costly back up I thought. I got that bright idea that if I decide to extend my stay in Pattaya I will make day trip to Hua Hin and back just to see how it is.
 
 Then meandering through walking Street and adjacent alleys I came to 2nd Rd to catch  baht bus to Jomtien as another option I’m entertaining in case of extension is to move to 2 nights there.
 
I went for  a walk along the beach , now partially demolished due to all that construction and walking along concessions for a first time this trip I realized that it is low season as chairs were empty everywhere. Perhaps timing was partial culprit, it was between 1-2 so lunch time  but quite  empty it was. Going back toward Jomtien complex I was tempted to stop in Bamboo bar since it seemed to be     well staffed and patronized for time of day but decided to keep walking. Jomtien complex was deserted at that time with one exception when I was passing by – Fah massage was sporting more than half dozen guys lingering at front and all of them quite attractive so after surveying realm of complex it was no way I could resist temptation. Problem of which boy to choose I solved easily simply by grabbing nearest one.
 
Lao boy named Chai, left me to take a shower , returned shortly after and started massage with fast and long stokes I like . Back in Boyztown I took a seat at Oscars , got my Chang and started light flirting with their boys  one of them quite talkative and funny, feminine type not shy to admit “ I’m a lady at heart”  and another one tall and handsome, manly  but a bit more reserved. I was supposed to have another massage with Kao at Copa and true to Boyztown form as soon as he arrived somebody from there spied me sitting at Oscars , came and told me that he is  there already so off I went.

Day 4 – evening
 
Rumbling become too long so I split day 4 into two parts, first available to everybody and second one restricted to 20 y.o. and over.
 
Dressed in new shiny shorts after making sure contents of all 11 pockets from old ones were transferred properly to corresponding in the new garment I parked myself over beer in the last chair outside of Castro bar in front of BoyzBoyzBoyz ( BBB ).to my left it was some potted  bush and on other side of bush two farangs were chatting. As it turned out later one of them was Williewillie from our forum . I met him before but somehow neither one of us recognized other even if   from exchanging PM we both knew we will be there.
 
In meantime  in front of Copa I noticed Kao, masseur I met twice in  December  when he had morning shift there but now I learned  he has another job in Baan Suoy so is only moonlighting at Copa. Couldn’t be happier seeing him and even more when saw smile on his face when he noticed me.

Before midnight I changed scenery to XBoys in soi 1, just in time for their midnight show. Day 4- day     
 
When coming to Thailand somehow I never had any pull toward Pattaya. It took me 9 trips before I ventured there and even that only for 2 days and I did not like it. Too many dour faced old farangs and to top it,  my both LT offs were disastrous.  But some members, Pattaya defenders like 1moRussian , anonone or firecat encouraged me to give her a chance so I did and second time seemed better so ever since every trip has Pattaya component.
 
 Last December  I was there only two days and first time since fall of Troy I actually liked that part better than Bangkok one, also short with 5 days there including day of arrival and departure.
So when preparing for this trip I decided to book record 5 nights there with option of extending by another two if I will be inclined to with firm resolution that decision will be made on my last, 5th day.
 
If extended I entertained option of staying in Boyztown  ( BT )where I always do or moving  either to Sunee or Jomtien for those 2 extra nights.
After lonely night in the cold bed and Foodland breakfast I packed and went to Ekkamai bus station this time deciding on taking a bus despite van driver waving at me from the distance. Vans from there are bit more expensive 120 vs. 108 for a bus but drop you at vicinity of your hotel   for free or 20 baht extra depending on the whim of driver I guess. Somehow did not feel like seating in cramped van and opted for bus comforts , particularly that next one was departing in 20 minutes or so. Even that short wait was shortened with chat with some farang and young black guy from Belgium.
 
In Pattaya  bus station songtaew mafia has vehicles waiting and will deliver you close to hotel for 50 baht at least if located in Central Pattaya , no experience with Jomtien ones. If one wants to economize , can dross the road and stop baht bus / songtaew / and go for 10 or 20 if change at Delphin roundabout is required  but coming from place where bus ticket costs 80 baht I found 50 reasonable.
 
Always stay in one of three  BT hotels  ( New Café Royal, Copa and Ambiance ) and don’t have any preference for any of them , always go by the price or a deal like breakfast included. This time it was New Café Royal, I even splurged for more costly Executive room , not much more spacious than Standard one but with breakfast included for 42 USD I found it great deal / one of the days that follow that breakfast actually was only meal I had in a whole day and it kept me running throughout /.
Advantage of staying in BT is being in the thick of action with everywhere close  but with good you need to take a bad  - whole soi  will see and comment on whom , when and for how long you are taking home.
 
So be aware that your last night stand or yesterday massage boy may give you evil eye next day or day after because you decided to lavish your affection on somebody else.
But with bad comes good, when I asked for particular massage boy from Copa he was not there but when he arrived somebody came to me sitting at Oscars , bar two door over  and told me Kao is already there.
 
Altogether I found it to be friendly and good value location, not for shy types though and sometimes with late night noise issues but living on busy street I never have problems with noise seeping into room while in BT.
One of receptionists there is a boy  well built and cute like hell and passing by I can’t help but wonder how he looks  like when less dressed so to speak but never had a courage to make a move and try to  check if such a survey would be possible but it’s an eye candy pleasant to smile at  10 times per hour.
 
After settling in and desoiling I went for an usual ‘ what changed since last time “ stroll  noticing new bar 360 in Pattayaland soi 1 and now closed Vassa, only bar there I never put my foot inside and it looks I never will. Old Happy Place bar location still vacant with name still shown. On the Beach Rd toward walking street is Alt Heidelberg, German restaurant which is my favourite feeding place and their Wiener Schnitzel with homemade fries is almost like Mom used to make for us when we were kids.
It shows a bit of age , to correspond with ‘Alt” (old in German) in the name I guess  but it was great relief to see it’s still there. On my way in one of stands on the street I spied nice patterned cotton shirt so lavished 150 baht on myself  to let poor to know how rich people are living.
 
After the meal more shopping since I decided finally to check Central Festival mall never being there in my 6 previous visits in PTT. 10 baht for baht bus  from 2nd rd and 5 minutes later I was in to find myself back outside another 5 minutes later realizing I did not sit 18 hrs on the plane just to see another standard shiny , chain shops infested mall and opted for Pattaya Night market across the street. 
 
I’m not shopper at all but like wandering through exotic markets even if they are aimed at tourists but had a reason to visit – I need new shorts as one I brought  started fraying and not being of high quality could disintegrate fast any time , God forbid  on my way to church for example. I like type with plenty pockets locked with Velcro as I found them useful for my system of distributing spending money all over me  , 1000 here , 700 there and 500 in the back pocket and so on. It took me while to find  what I wanted but I did and 380 baht happier , shorts in the daypack heavier returned home.

Day 3
 
I noticed that with age I take those long flights better and better but at price of jet lag killing me more and more. Today is day 3 and after two quite intensive days and nights I start feeling like energy is leaving me.
 
 On top of it problems starting with my tablet, not that I can’t live without an access to internet but sometimes Nantra’s lobby where public consumption  computers are located  is full of people waiting for something and it does not created good environment to open page of our forum with all those semi-naked beauties. I even created thread looking for help with that tablet problem  and using this occasion I sent big THANK YOU to all who responded.
 
After few days I identified problem – when leaving room I was leaving tablet plugged in. Upon removing key card from the slot power is cut off from the room. On return , when I place card back in the slot power returns but at the same time small surge created overheating inside of tablet and until it was unplugged and cooled down I couldn’t start it. When I made sure I unplug charger before leaving room problem was gone and tablet worked normal way. So much for a technology for you I guess.
 
In order not to waste whole day dozing,  I took BTS to National Stadium , then walked to Saen Saep Khlong (canal )and took boat to a Talat / market / Bobae. For some reason I like wandering there and visit it every trip.
 
What is new in the khlong   is tourist boat which goes as far as Bangalampu as an addition to  regular commuter service  terminating near Golden Mount temple.  I just noticed it but did not use tourist one yet. If you are interested visit Christian PFC blog at

  Did not buy anything in the market and after hour or two returned , stopping at MBK for a lunch.
 
 Full stomach and untreated jet lag made me so sleepy that I barely managed to take those 3 stations to Silom , went to hotel  and there went to bed hoping that after 1-2 hours of sleep I regain consciousness and be ready to see ChristianPFC  who was supposed to drop by at 6. It was already dark when knocking to  a door  woke me up and immediately I thought it must be him.
 
Yes he was but time was already 7 p.m.  Of course he was here at 6 , knocked to a door , since was no answer went to reception , asked them to call me and because it was still no answer he decided to try one more in 1 hour . It shows how deep in sleep I was. No kidding with sleep deprivation.
 
We decided to have a dinner in some Japanese restaurant on Silom , 2 servings of gyozas fill me in, Christian had some other treat and we decided to do some bar hopping as usual , this time we started with Screwboys.  Mamasan recognized me , she always does . It remnants of Dec 2014 trip when I offed 6 times Lao  boy named One from there , perhaps best off I was dealing with ever. Well built , well behaved, patient and never asking for anything, still after all those years I miss him and every trip ask mamas an if by a chance he did not return to his duties to no avail.
 
We had our drinks , I distributed some tips but none of us was in offing mode so we decided to make a hop to Fresh Boys to see human resources there. In December I had great fun with two boys I took from there and on entry one of them recognized me immediately while it took good  15 minutes before another one sent big smile in my direction as well. We watched the show, here they have SPECIAL Show as well with one of my boys performing top position.
 
Again few tips and then as agreed previously we went to Jupiter 2018 where I expected Oud to be available for an off as agreed on day 1 but he was nowhere to be seen.
As it turned out week later , he was in airport kissing good bye to his motorcycle throwing Chinese lady. Show was almost over when we arrived, Christian did not stay long but I decided to kill some time there to watch the boys and listen  to some oldies from lip-synching by some girl on the stage. Actually I had a good time and was in no rush to leave but when bar started to empty around 1 I took off with everybody else.  On my way home detoured to BBB Inn to see if my favorite masseur Tao is still working there, he was and actually still wet after shower he freshly took. Promised him to see him next week but I was in no mood for a massage nor off with lag still lingering in my body .
 
On Suriwong I saw some Tawan boys going home , in front of 7/11 ion the corner of soi 6 some others  including my last night off Boon and #6 I started to salivate about were having a beer.  Both boys even made motion showing desire to walk with me to a hotel but today is historical day, first time ever in my 16 trips to Thailand I did not have neither massage nor off any boy. Not as much tired as scared by that  oversleep incident I decided to have good night sleep alone to avoid any disturbances  hoping to bring my body to a balance after 4 sleepless nights including one of departure and one lost on the plane due to time difference.
 
 
 I always chastise members who are reporting going to bed alone for wasting their vacation time so now is your turn to get back at me. It was good move still for two reasons, first to get my sleeping pattern adjusted to normal , second to balance budget after 2 LT at 4000 it saved me 1000 compared to my usual 3000 / night pattern.

actually I'd prefer if offending posts are removed or trimmed out of offending lines instead of warnings, suspensions and bans of members but realize it a lot of work.
 
Post starting with ' vinapu , you idiot" may be offensive to me or even some others ( I don't like when people are throwing insults at others they don't even know personally, different thing if they know each other, then it's free for all)  but may contain very valuable information so trimming would do IMHO.

Day 2
 
 Boy decided to skip breakfast so I did my customary trek to Foodland Patpong alone and it was in vain –place was packed with no empty table , my first. I decided to return to the hotel where some simple breakfast / tea , coffee, toast , cereals, juice, fruit / breakfast is offered, had a bite or two and returned to the room where feeling results of quite busy night and uncured jet lag I fell asleep.
 
Sometime later knock to the door wake me up –it was cleaning lady wanting to tidy room a bit. She did it tactfully while I stay in the bed . At 2 p.m. I went to Foodland again , you guessed rightly , to finally have some breakfast. Go imagine 2.p.m.  ! I did not forget that Phet is returning at 4 so not much time left , did some walk around Silom, went to post office  to mail something  and parked myself in Nantra’s lobby at one of their computers to catch up with technology and to spare him an embarrassment of being stopped although at Nantra it’s highly unlikely.
 
It was 4 p.m. on the dot  when he appeared, so much for unreliable Thai boys. Again very entertaining few hours with all that boyfriend feeling he so skillfully managed to project. At one point and I’m kidding you not  I had that impression crossing my mind that it would be worthwhile to spent all those 18 hours in the plane and another 18 on return trip just to  live again those several hours of yesterday , last night and today.  
 
Since all those exercises made us hungry and he needs to go to the bar we decided to have a dinner together , he suggested Telephone in soi 4 and off we went. I liked their ‘quiet’ room on 2nd floor and we had pleasant meal there. In the corner was another farang with his boy speaking an excellent English from shreds of conversation I managed to overhear.  
 
Phet went his way and I walked to soi Twilight for another meeting with Paulsf and boys in Hot Male beer bar , one of them  Alex ,  Burmese buy I found quite attractive and good looking. Good and fun filled few hours.
 
 At 10.30 I went to Tawan to see the show. As yesterday few new boys ,show more or less similar to what was before with one big improvement  - special show is back with participants circulating tip fishing among us voyeurs so I parted with two red notes on that occasion. In meantime I’m being seriously cruised by #48 Boonthon, one of the steely muscles  but not beefy one. I had already pleasure to meet him last year  and with Phet , my last night stand and dinner companion nowhere to be seen , it did not take much of thinking  to engage #48 services for LT tonight. 
 
Usual tip negotiation mirrored exactly one of yesterday  so again few  cases of blood pressure rises hearing that , my apologies to you guys who think I’m making it hard for others but paying inflationary tips  I can’t mistreat serious bodybuilder competition contender and can only hope for the best.
 
In meantime I’m keeping my eye on # 6 Dum , I noticed him in Dec during my sole visit to Tawan.
Nicely built , looks like half black with full kissable lips and I made promise to myself to give him a chance to earn some serious money in future, LOL.
 
Off we went , #48 and me , straight to the room and while tip mirrored last night’s so did boy’s performance. It looks I’m undergoing serious  boyfriend like treatment second night in row. And some think there’s no use of straight boys , can’t disagree more.
 
In the morning instead of usual walk  to Foodland for a breakfast we went by his motorbike. After breakfast we went to a store as he wanted to  buy a chocolate  for his baby but I chipped in with another two bars, after all I paid him enough so he can afford baby’s dental bill. And so day 2 finished with continuous feeling I’m somewhere in heaven.
