  1. Thank you Next time! I don't even know how I came across it actually (most probably my endless perusing on google maps), not the highest of rooftop bars, but it was quite nice nonetheless. Regarding J, that ship has sailed! I've learnt my lesson, and chalking it all up to experience. There are plenty more guys in Thailand that I will explore next time!
  2. Day 5: Caught the BTS to Asok and had a wander around Terminal 21. Ended up buying some jeans, shorts, and shirts from H&M and had a cheap lunch at the food court, although the serving sizes were quite small. When I got bored, I went back on the BTS to Sala Daeng and went to Prime Massage. I've heard a lot of good reviews about this place so I decided to give it a try. When I got there, they were quite busy, but it was quite efficiently run. I wanted to get a 1 hour foot/1 hour Thai massage, but the lady at the counter said if I got a 30 min foot/1 hour Thai then I wouldn't have to wait, and could get started straight away. So I went with that. 450 baht. My guy was a cutie, and quite smiley as well. Foot massage was good, and the Thai massage was amazing - out of all the Thai massages I've had in my life, I don't think I've ever been contorted into so many positions. He was really strong and worked hard, so I tipped him 300 baht. Since I was quite impressed, I made an appointment for the following day with the same guy for a 1 hour foot/1 hour Thai. On the way back to the BTS station I took a detour and walked through the Patpong night market (it wasn't quite night yet so they were still setting up), and then back down the street that some of the bars are on (Screwboys, Dreamboy Paradiso etc). I also walked past so many massage places. I just want to try them all out! Day 6: Went to MBK to have a bit of a look, nothing too spectacular there, lots of stalls like a market. I had some lunch and bought a pencil case. Afterwards I went back to Prime for my appointment, got there a little earlier and was able to start straight away. My massage guy looked like he got a fresh haircut too. If I thought yesterday was good, today was even better and he was using some moves that he didn't use yesterday. Pretty legit massage, although he came in contact with my 'area' a few times, whether accidental or deliberate, I didn't mind. Tipped him 500 baht as he worked really hard over the 2 hours he was with me. Then I was thinking, if these guys work this hard all day for hours and hours, they must get really sore.. or maybe during their training they learn how to massage without hurting themselves? Later in the evening I went for a drink (and dinner) at heaven rooftop bar. It's in the same building as Arena and you have enter through a spa (like heaven spa or something) and take the elevator up to the top. It was quite a nice atmosphere with some live music. A nice place to take your guy. I ended up messaging J (from the beginning of my trip) because I wanted to give him another chance so I asked if he wanted to spend the night, and he said yes and would meet me later on, so after dinner I went back, had a shower etc, and he messaged me again saying that he forgot his mum was visiting and couldn't come. Never mind, I kinda knew that something like this would happen! Day 7: So today was my last day. I decided to move hotels as my flight was tomorrow and I didn't want to travel on the BTS during rush hour with my suitcase (plus I wasn't super into my current hotel). I ended up booking a room at Sukhon which is literally right outside the Phaya Thai BTS station. It's a relatively new hotel (opened last year I think), and it was clean and neat. I was on the 5th floor (top floor) and had views of the BTS station lol. Ganymede is quite close by so I decided to pay a visit. There were about 6 guys there on arrival and I chose a slightly muscular one (not sure why, as I'm more into the twinky types), but I did like his face. Showered alone down the corridor, went back to the room and the guy came in after a while. Massage was okay, was offered sex and asked him to f*ck me but he had trouble staying hard. Oh well, a handjob it was. Paid the 700 baht massage fee and minimum 1000 baht. Better luck next time I guess! Not that many options in terms of food around the Phaya Thai area but I found a relatively empty restaurant and had some curry chicken noodles. Day 8: The hotel provided a choice of American or Thai breakfast and I got the Thai option and it was quite delicious. Shortly afterwards, I walked to the airport link station (so close) and finished my time in Bangkok (I would then go to spend some time in Singapore then Bali). So all in all my trip was okay, I could have done a lot more (I just got really complacent and lazy), but I learn more every time I come here. I think for next time I'll stick to a bit of an itinerary so I can get stuff done, and in the meantime work on my health a little bit so that when I actually arrive, I'm not so tired all the time. I did get some offers from forum members to meet up, but I didn't end up arranging anything - so apologies and perhaps next time! I also didn't manage to go to any bars, to be honest I'm a little nervous, but I guess once I do it, it'll be easier and I won't be so scared! I have quite a bit of Thai baht left so I'm actually thinking about coming back in December and spending some time in Bangkok and Pattaya. I've already been looking at flights. I don't have much on during that time so I thought I may as well.. Thanks for reading, sorry it's not as steamy as other forum members reports, but it's what I can manage for now! xx
  3. So I seemed to get tired quite a lot during this trip, and you are totally right - my current lack of exercise (and probably poor diet) contributes a lot to this. I really do admire you guys who can fit so much in a single day, where I literally do one activity then have to rest for ages! But I'll definitely be working on this so that I can get more out of my next trip.
  4. Absolutely agree. I do agree, and I will admit that this is probably an area I could probably improve upon just so that we are on the same page really. I mean, yeah sometimes the stars align and things can happen organically, but communication definitely is important too. Yes! It was only my 3rd trip to Thailand, so I feel as though I'm slightly inexperienced with all of this, but I am learning a lot from you guys here in the forum! I'm just exploring what is not as easily accessible in my home country, and just want to have a good time, you know? Thailand is beautiful and I do want to come back soon. More to come soon.
  5. Loving all of your replies to my original post! Will reply soon, but in the meantime.. Day 3: One of the places that I wanted to visit whilst I was in Bangkok was the new IconSiam, so I decided today would be the day for it. Caught the BTS to Saphan Taksin, and hopped on the free IconSiam river shuttle. The trip didn't take long at all and it was a nice boat ride on the river. Arrived and was quite impressed at how massive it was. The first time I went to Siam Paragon I thought that was pretty impressive, but this place just takes the cake. I always marvel at how they get the cars into the dealerships on the upper floors. Wandered around for a while, exploring each floor, before having some lunch at a Korean restaurant near the top floor. I remember in one of @vinapu's trip reports he mentioned an outside terrace outside the apple store, so after finding the apple store, walked through it and went outside and it was quite a nice view of the river and the city. I really do like a nice view. Continued to wander around and bought some clothes for myself that were on sale (also saw maybe a couple of you guys shopping with your Thai boyfriends), eventually got bored so I got the river shuttle back to Saphan Taksin, got on the BTS, somehow managed to go in the wrong direction, got off the train and on another and went to Sala Daeng because my feet hurt and I wanted another foot massage. I was going to go back to Rapee but I walked up and down the street and it was like it disappeared because I couldn't find it. Maybe I was just being blind or not looking hard enough, but anyway, I kept on walking down and came across Nakarat and just as well because the guys outside were quite nice looking. I ended up getting a 1 hour foot massage with the guy who accosted me (his name was bee I think). Walked up the million steps to the 3rd floor, and it was quite nice as I was the only one in the foot massage area. It was mid-afternoon after all. I did see a few guys come in and out. The foot massage was really good, he was quite strong, massage was 250 baht, paid the lady at the counter with a 500 and gave bee the change. I told him I would come back (but turns out that I didn't unfortunately). Couldn't be bothered walking back so I took the BTS to the next stop to Chong Nonsi to my hotel. Later in the evening I walked down the street and ate some kale and crispy pork at some random restaurant, after which I felt tired so I didn't bother going out. Day 4: Today I went across the road to King Power Mahanakhon and omg it was amazing. So I paid 689 baht entry fee (apparently cheaper on weekdays, and I saw some cheaper online promotions too), found out I couldn't bring my bottle of water up (bear that in mind for if you visit), went through the X-ray and into an elevator which was super fast and displayed some nice projections on the walls as it was going up. Off the elevator at the 74th floor which was the 360-degree indoor observation area which you could see all of Bangkok from every window. Every time I went to a different window it was like I was looking at something new. Before going up to the 78th floor, the staff gave me some cloth covers to put over my shoes, and a soft bag to put my bag in. Can't remember if I went up the stairs or the lift at the 78th floor, but when I got there, wow. The view was spectacular. Spent a lot of time just looking out at Bangkok. Eventually made it to the glass panel (once the crowd died down a little), and it was so cool. Since I went there by myself, I was a little worried about where I would leave my belongings as they don't provide any lockers or anything, but the soft blue bag that they gave me I could take onto the glass. I had one of the staff members take some photos of me. Just looking down 78 floors below was really something. I would've stayed on the glass a bit longer, but everyone had to get off as they needed to clean the glass. Highly recommended experience. When I left Mahanakhon I walked to Baantewa. I had a really good experience when I visited 3 years ago, so I was hoping for another good time. When I got there I had to go up the stairs (unlike when I visited 3 years ago I just went in the front door), and there were only 2 guys available. They were both cute so I just randomly selected one, and off we went. Showered alone at first, and the massage was okay. His clothes eventually came off, but afters was just a handjob. Last time I was offered the full service, but not today so it seems. Yeah I'm sure I could've communicated better what I wanted, but as I mentioned before, I just kinda go with the flow and see what happens. I mean, a handjob is better than no handjob I guess! Paid the 700 baht for the massage, and the 1000 minimum tip. Had a meal at Alphabet Cafe and Bar near my hotel, and later on another meal at Beef and Shake (also near my hotel). Didn't venture out again (as I was tired.. this becomes a pattern..)
  6. Thank you for your reply wise guru @vinapu! Really sage advice, and will take on board next time. In these sorts of situations I kinda just want to go with the flow, and see what happens sorta thing. I'm a person who likes to avoid confrontation. But as you said: which I totally agree with. I just wanted to give it a shot, and it didn't quite turn out the way I expected, but then again partly my fault as I wasn't clear with my expectations (which I didn't have many as I wanted to go with the flow!) But food for thought definitely. I've already been back home for a couple of weeks now so all of the trip has finished, so more to come when I have a chance to sit down and type it out! @Nasherich Yeah I can imagine how awkward that may have been, I guess I was lucky with my guy who was living in Bangkok so he wasn't too far from home. But we all live and learn right?
  7. Hi all. A bit of a trip report from my latest trip to Bangkok. It's not really that chock-a-block full of sexual escapades but hopefully there will be some interest! So a little back story - I went to Pattaya back in April and met a guy at Royal House whom I had a good time with. Let's call him J. So we kept in contact via line and I invited him to stay with me on my next trip to Bangkok (as he was now living in Bangkok). He was pretty excited, and often sent messages 'I can't wait to see you' etc. I on the other hand was a little trepidatious as my experience of Thai guys is limited to "massages" mainly, and in my home country I'm pretty introverted and prefer to be by myself most of the time, so inviting someone to stay with me was something quite different for me. But I just thought 'fuck it', I need to open up to new experiences and just see how it goes (which it didn't really).. read on to find out! Day 1: travelled from my home country to Singapore for a 6 hour stopover (love Changi Airport) around the hours of 2:30am - 8:30am. There's surprisingly still a lot to do there at stupid o'clock. I messaged J to let him know when I would be arriving and he said he would meet me at the airport, I said he didn't have to but he insisted. Landed at Suvarnabhumi at about 9:50am, immigration took ages, but my suitcase was already at the carousel as I got out. As I exited into the arrivals area, no sign of J, sent him a message and made my way down to the basement to exchange some money. I didn't know whether or not to wait, so I just waited a little bit and he messaged back saying that he was asleep. No problem, so I said that I would meet him later as I wanted to rest first. Took the airport link and BTS to Chong Nonsi where my hotel was - I Residence Silom. The hotel was okay, I probably wouldn't stay there again. It was a little run down and rough around the edges, and the bathroom was small, but they are doing some renovations and there are some newer rooms. Bit confusing at times are there are 3 different buildings that are not connected, but I think some of the floors are. Finding the breakfast room and the rooftop pool was a bit of an adventure, but I got there in the end. But the staff were really nice, location was really good (right outside the BTS Chong Nonsi), and sooo many places to eat nearby (restaurants, street food, etc), as well as a 7/11, King Power Mahanakhon across the road (which I will get to later), and Baantewa and Arena are walking distance. Getting to the Silom area is walkable or a very short train ride. Ate lunch at Lon Lon (very nice), and met J a little later in the evening. We met at Siam Paragon, had a bit of a wander, looked for something to eat, he wanted to eat at a Japanese seafood buffet for 1000 baht per person, I said no and told him I am not a rich farang, and ended up eating at Boon Tong Kee, which is a restaurant that I've eaten at in Singapore. Took the BTS back to my hotel, and this is where things started to become weird. So as soon as we got in, he was literally stuck to his phone. Like, I will admit that I spend a lot of time on my phone as well, but this just took the cake. I was in the bed, and he eventually came to bed (still on the phone) and I had to snuggle up to him to get 'things' started. It just felt like that spark that we had a few months ago wasn't there. I'm a pretty realistic person, I'm not expecting him to spend every waking moment with me, but at least put your phone down when I'm snuggling up to you and maybe give me a bit of attention? Anyway, after we finished I went to sleep because I was pretty tired, and he slept sometime later. Day 2: Shortly after waking, snuggled up to him, surprise surprise he was on his phone, but we got 'started' after I literally started jerking myself off, he got the picture. I respect these guys, they are people too, so I don't want to force him to do anything that he doesn't want to do, but then what do I get? Why are you even here? So anyway, today we took the BTS up to chatuchak market and wandered around for a few hours. Love this place, it's so big! I bought few clothes for myself, and I bought J some clothes as well, as well as lunch. Throughout the day I was thinking to myself, I don't want to spend the rest of the week with him, how am I going to break it to him gently. So we took the BTS back (him still on the phone, and nearly missed getting off the train as he was too engrossed with whatever he was playing), and when we got to the room he told me that he wanted to go back to his room to change clothes and get his ID, so I took the opportunity and told him that I wanted to spend a few days by myself and I would message him in a few days. He was okay with it, asked for 1000 baht to send to his mum, so I gave him 2000 baht because at this stage I wasn't sure it I was going to see him again. After he left I just felt kinda free. But I did think about it, what could I have done to make the situation better? Should I have spoilt him more? Should I have not smoked around him? Should I have just communicated better and let him know what I wanted? or was he just a dud? I don't know.. anyway, I wasn't upset or anything, just chalking it down to experience, and I'll do better next time. J did end up calling a little later asking if I was okay, and I said yes and just explained that I am not used to having someone with me all the time (I didn't tell him the real reason). A little later I went out to Silom Complex and ate at Bon Chon (really good fried chicken), bought some of those face masks that lots of Thais are wearing these days, and went across the road for a foot massage at Rapee. 250 baht and 200 baht tip because it was quite good. At the end he even did a bit of an arm, neck, back, and head massage, and even cracked my back, which I always think is hilarious for some reason when I hear all the popping noises. Day 3: to come soon!
  8. I'm booked in to stay at the I Residence hotel, right in front of Chong Nonsi BTS, for my upcoming trip. Seems okay, has some mixed reviews, but has a rooftop pool. Some reviews even say that condoms are included in the room too lol. Will report back.
  9. Nice report! It was great to read about your visits to Mahanakhon as I'm also planning to go there on my upcoming trip, and good tip about getting there early to avoid the crowds too.
  10. This is probably mostly a useless reply but I will also be arriving in Bangkok on the 27th September and also going to Singapore later in my trip lol. Try out any hawker centres in Singapore for really good (and cheap) local food!
  11. Whilst I cannot comment on the bars (as I didn't go to any), there were definitely at least 3 massage establishments all around the same area when I was there back in April.
  12. Wow guys! Thank you so much for all of your replies! I will definitely take it all into account and do some research on everything suggested. Wasn't expecting to return to Thailand so soon after my April trip, but hey, nothing wrong with being a little indulgent from time to time lol.
  13. Hi forum, So I will be visiting Bangkok in October (in amongst a couple of other south east Asian countries), and have invited a boy (whom I met in Pattaya earlier in the year) to stay with me for the 7 or 8 days I am there, which he is very much looking forward to. Apart from spending time doing the 'usual' and perhaps visiting chatuchak markets, siam paragon, etc, what would you recommend some other things to do to fill the days? Cheers!
  14. Those two places were on my list of things to do but I didn't manage to get there this trip - probably next time though! Ahah thanks!
  15. Some background info – 35 year old mixed Caucasian/Asian, last trip to Thailand (Bangkok) was in 2016, was invited to a wedding in Phuket so I thought I would visit a few other places at the same time. Pre-Thailand My first stop was Cambodia (Siem Reap) for 3 days. My first time here. After flying for most of the day, I finally arrived, found the tuk tuk driver which the hotel provided and was on my way to the hotel (trying to avoid water being thrown on me as it was the last day of Khmer new year). Hotel was fine and room was comfortable (had a nice view of a wall), close to pub street but not too close. Found some dinner (and 50c beer) and called it a night. The next day I spent lazing around the pool in the glorious hot weather, talked to a guy on grindr who said he did massage (let’s call him Charles [not his real name]), so he came to my hotel and I received an okay massage (and pretty decent extras). He was pretty chatty, and his English was quite good so we spent some time having a chat. Apparently my hotel had a rooftop bar, so I went and had a look and no one was there. Ended up going to a night market and I bought a shirt, and ate some street food, whilst sitting on the smallest chair and table imaginable. The next day I went to Angkor Wat with a guide from Siam Roads, and was impressed by the magnitude of it and how it is still standing after 900 years. Also visited Ta Prohm. Later when I got back to the hotel, went back to the rooftop bar and still no one there. Ended up going to pub street and had dinner at the red piano, and got a decent foot massage nearby by a cute Khmer guy. Whilst having a cigarette outside the front of my hotel later that evening, a rat scurried over my foot. My final day in Siem Reap consisted of going to Phnom Kulen waterfall (with guide) which was amazing and visiting Blue Hatha later on. Massage was pretty perfunctory which I expected, and extras nothing more than a handjob, but the guy was cute nonetheless. Thailand (Pattaya and Phuket) Since I went to BKK in 2016, I decided to give Pattaya a go this time round. The flight to BKK from Siem Reap was quick and non-eventful, ended up arriving ahead of schedule and caught the 2pm Bell Travel Service bus (in hindsight, could have caught the 12pm bus but didn’t feel like testing my luck in case the plane was late) for 280 baht, took about an hour and a half, then transferred to a mini bus which took nearly an hour as it dropped off all of the other passengers first (of course I was the second last to be dropped off). I stayed at the Avani and wow it was quite a step up compared to my hotel in Siem Reap. Big room, huge bed and a balcony with a nice view of the gardens. I ended up booking a massage with a guy I found online (his ad specified it was a legit massage only, and I was fine with that), and the massage was quite good, but still ended up somehow having a happy ending! I asked him if he wanted extra tip to which he replied ‘up to you’ so I gave him a little extra. It ended up being a pretty good deal for a 2-hour massage. I was too lazy to do anything else that night, so I ordered room service and went to sleep. The next day I went across the road to Pattaya beach, walked all the way to the northern end of it and all the way back, and then hired a beach chair to sit on for a while. The weather was so hot and humid, but I actually didn’t mind it. Later on, I was talking to a guy from hornet, a Thai guy from BKK who was here on holiday. He seemed quite nice and we got along but his profile didn’t have his face pic, and when he did send it, it turned out that he wasn’t quite my type, but I ended up meeting him anyway. We met at Pattaya beach and just sat around for a while talking, and using google translate to help. Ended up going back to his hotel (which had an infinity pool and an amazing view of Pattaya at night) and handjobs were exchanged. Sweet guy though, we are still in contact. I walked through BoyzTown on my way back to my hotel and it didn’t seem like a lot was going on so I didn’t go to any bars. The next day the strangest thing happened. So I was on grindr and ‘Charles’ from Cambodia messaged me and I noticed he was a few km’s away. He did mention a few days ago that he might go to Thailand to work, and that in itself isn’t out of the ordinary. But for him to be close by on grindr while I happened to be in Pattaya, pretty co-incidental. So he ended up messaging me because I thought he wanted to meet up, and somehow during the conversation he was saying that we have never met, even though I have all the chat history! And then he started sending me pictures of other guys. I ended up ignoring him because the situation was a little odd. Later I ended up walking to Pattaya viewpoint (and oh boy was I sweating out of every orifice imaginable), couldn’t find it because I was on the wrong side of the road, eventually found it and the view was amazing! Had a rest after taking some photos, and then decided to go to Dongtan Beach in Jomtien. Ended up walking there as well. Found the rainbow flags, was chatted up by a Cambodian guy, and just hung out on a beach chair for a few hours, using my new favourite phrase ‘mai ow’ to the people that wouldn’t take no for an answer when selling things. My plan was to take a baht bus back to my hotel, but stupid me ended up walking back for some reason. But I made it back, and was totally exhausted. Also walked the whole way in thongs (flip-flops for the americanos), which probably weren’t the best walking shoes. Didn’t meet up with any guys that day, and was too tired to go out so I ordered room service again, and it was a pizza, which turned out to be huge so I said to myself ‘I’ll just eat half of it now, and have the rest tomorrow’ but then I ended up eating the whole thing. My last day consisted of going to Koh Larn. Got on the ferry which didn’t take too long, walked to Ta Yai beach and had lunch at an overpriced restaurant. It was a nice little beach, not too crowded. I got bored so I walked back to the ferry and caught it back to Pattaya and went back to my hotel for a little while. After that I ended up walking to Royal House (was going to go to Helios but changed my mind at the last second, and I’m glad I did). You know when you go to these places and are presented with a selection of guys and sometimes it takes a while to choose? Well here, I knew exactly the guy I wanted as soon as I saw him. 25 year old guy from Isan, a little shorter than me, with a smaller frame, but toned. He was lovely. Let’s call him ‘James’. I think we had a bit of a connection, okay massage, really good afters. We both got to test our ‘versatility’. We are still in contact today, and he doesn’t work at Royal House anymore, instead now he works in a factory. Was going to go to BoyzTown on my way back, but I was pretty satisfied to be honest, so since this was my last day in Pattaya, I’ll just have to visit again. And hopefully for longer next time. The next day I organised a car to take me to U-Tapao airport (which in hindsight I should have just taken the bus back to BKK – would have been way cheaper), and I flew to Phuket. Never been here before either. Caught the smart bus to my hotel in Karon Beach (the bus stop was not near my hotel so I ended up walking for about 10 minutes with my suitcase which was lots of fun). Checked in with no dramas, and although the room was pretty average, the view was pretty amazing. Not too much to talk about here as the next day I had a (female) friend from my home city come to stay with me as we were going to the wedding together. What can I say about Phuket? So many tourists, can be quite busy (although we didn’t stay in Patong), and most things were expensive. Anyway, explored a little bit, hung out, ate a bit too much, relaxed a lot, and went to the wedding which was beautiful. On my last day there I ventured out by myself and went to Patong. Ended up going to 4 massage (on the way was accosted by guys from Linley massage, who looked pretty decent so that’s a place I can explore if I come back), decided to splurge and got a 4-handed massage. Most guys there weren’t really my type but I chose 2 that were suitable. One of the 2 that I chose was really quite playful which I hadn’t experienced before at massage places, so it was nice. Anyway the 4-handed massage was okay, nothing too special, and then decent afters with both guys, one after the other. That was new for me, but I loved it. Walked around Jungceylon after that, but it was like any other mall you would find anywhere really. Post-Thailand The rest of the trip was pretty non-eventful, caught a plane to the Philippines and didn’t meet up with any guys while I was there as I was staying with family, but I did chat to a guy on grindr who I’m still talking to today, so maybe when I visit again I can meet up with him. I had a really great trip, and it was a long time in the making as I had booked everything about 6 months before I left. I had a great time ‘butterflying’ around, as I never seem to have much sex with guys in my own city. It’s just so much easier overseas for some reason, and I get so much more attention. And I managed to not get food poisoning like last time! Anyway, I’m planning another trip in October, this time to BKK. I’d like to see ‘James’ again (don’t worry, I’m not in love with him, he is just a decent guy who I’d like to spend some more time with), and he said he would stay with me whilst in BKK. I might also spend some time in Singapore or Malaysia, I don’t know just yet, still brainstorming. Thanks for reading!
  16. Personal tastes do differ I agree, but I dunno, I was raised on Filipino food so it's kinda comforting for me. But yes, Filipino spaghetti is definitely different.. I'm not sure if I like it either haha
  17. Oh right! ahaha I quite like filipino food - ate a lot of it growing up, and still a bit today!
  18. I will definitely be more careful this time round and stick to beer and bottled water I think! Yes it was unfortunate but you live and you learn. I am looking forward to my first time in Pattaya and will definitely hit up the bars and massage places in Boyztown! I found a few notes which I wrote whilst I was there, so that definitely helped :P Hoping my next trip will be more successful! Thanks for the suggestion - will definitely look into it. Yeah for me the worst of it was over in a day or so, but it took a bit longer before I started feeling better. I'll be more careful in future. Muse Hotel was great, loved the general theme of the hotel but didn't manage to eat at the steak house. I'll include a photo below. But it's funny, I've been to the Philippines a few times in the past and have never gotten food poisoning there!
  19. Hi all! So I went to Bangkok back in 2016 and I was always meaning to write up a trip report but just never got around to doing it. So I thought I would do it now whilst I have some spare time, plus am returning to Thailand in the next couple of months. Better late than never I guess. A bit of background, (was) 32 years old, Filipino/Australian heritage. Shy, small in stature, and look a bit younger than I am (thank you good Asian genes), and it was my first time to Thailand. It doesn't contain heaps of sex stuff, so apologies, but here goes: Day 0 Flew from my home city to Singapore, where I had an overnight stopover. Invited a 'massage' friend to spend the night with me. I met this guy when I was last in Singapore a couple of months before my Thailand trip, and we got along quite well. Last trip I booked him for an hour and he stayed for like 3 hours and even bought me McDonalds afterwards. Anyway it was good to see him again. Day 1 Since I was staying at one of the airport hotels, I caught the skytrain to the terminal that I needed to be at, my friend saw me off, and I eventually boarded the plane. Landed at Suvarnabhumi Airport and was expecting huge queues and chaos in immigration, but it turned out that there was hardly anyone there. I was out within a few minutes. Good time of the day to land I guess. Waiting for my luggage took ages, but once I got my luggage I went and changed some AUD into THB and went to get a tourist sim from DTAC. Found the taxi stand, showed him where I was staying on my phone but I don't think he quite understood but we got there in the end. The driver's English was limited but he did attempt to make some conversation including "many lady company" and "bang bang". Oh if only he knew. Arrived at my hotel (Hotel Muse on Soi Langsuan) checked in (there wasn't a check-in counter, but there were all separate desks to check in which I thought was a nice touch). Whilst checking in they brought over a sample of 4 different (alcoholic) drinks). My room wasn't ready yet since I arrived before check-in time so I went and sat in the bar and had some Singha. Shortly after, one of the hotel attendants took me to my room (it was huge!) and carried my suitcase (never had that happen to me before!) and I slept for a while as I was exhausted. Upon waking, I went for a walk to find dinner, couldn't decide on anything so returned back to my hotel and got room service. Day 2 A few weeks before my trip I had organised a travel companion for two of the days I was in Bangkok. Just found his website randomly on google. We had a big day planned, so he met me in the Lobby in the morning and the first stop was to a tailors (State Tailors) because I wanted to buy a suit or 2 whilst I was there. I had a look through some magazines to see what styles I liked, and chose some fabrics, and the tailor told me a price for the 2 suits (includes 2 pants, 2 jackets and 2 shirts) which was a little too much more than I could afford. I told him that I could only afford 1 suit. So he crunched some numbers and got me a price of 14500 baht for the 2 suits. I then had a think, and thought that if I had 2 suits made for me in Australia, the price would be in the thousands. So I accepted, since it would be a worthwhile investment. I got measured, paid my deposit then off we went. We walked to Sathorn Pier and took the boat to Wat Po and the Grand Palace (beautiful but so busy). Afterwards, took a tuk tuk (hated it) to Phanfa bridge and took another boat to Jim Thompson's house. I went on the tour and it was really quite an interesting story. Afterwards, I took the skytrain back to my hotel for a rest. My guide then met me again later and we went into Soi Twilight (my first time!), had dinner at Maxi's first, then went into x-boys (I think), and just sat and had a drink. There was this guy, number 19, who kept smiling at me but I didn't call him down. We then went to dreamboys to see the show, and wow. Having never experienced something like this in my life, it was amazing. Didn't off anyone that night as I was too tired. Day 3 I had today on my own, so my first stop was to a clinic where I had a consultation about a cosmetic procedure I want done, then I went back to the tailors to try on the (unfinished) suit, and made some adjustments, then found my way to Arena. My heart was beating quite fast because I was nervous! Anyway, I went in and the guy at the counter didn't say much. He didn't really explain anything, just sat with me while I chose. It took me a little while, but there was this one guy who was smiling at me and was cute. His name was Art (I think) and he was my age. Went upstairs, had a shower together and he started massaging me. After a little while he said "I fuck you?" and I was like "okay, but be gentle" so he put a condom and lube on and started to put it in, but I don't have anal all that often so it kinda hurt a bit so we didn't do it for very long. We just sucked and jerked each other off for a while. It was satisfying, but nothing earth shattering. The shower decided to not work afterwards, so I had to go without. I tipped him 1500 because he was a genuinly nice guy, wasn't cold, and kept saying that I was lovely. Whether he says that to all of his customers, I don't care, it made me feel good! After that I went back to the hotel (was proud of myself for navigating the BTS all day), and went to Siam Paragon later on to browse. My favourite was the floor with all of the luxury cars - how do they even get them there?? Day 4 Today started good but ended bad. Another big day was planned, so I met with my guide and drove to the Rom Hoop Market and watched the train go past which was kinda cool, then afterwards went to the Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, which again was pretty cool. Bought a fake LV bag on the way out for 1000 baht, no idea why. It was too expensive, and I never even used it! We then drove back into the city and had lunch at a restaurant in Silom (I forget the name now). Had pad Thai and some sort of mango shake. After that I went back to my hotel for a rest, and the plan was later on we would visit Babylon, have dinner at Asiatique, and then visit Soi Twilight again. What happened was (too much information ahead, I apologise) I had a nap, and upon waking my stomach was feeling a little off so I messaged my guide and postponed to meet by an hour, in the meantime I was stuck on the toilet pissing out of my ass, my guide ended up coming to the hotel and I met him in the lobby where he gave me some medicine, went back to my room, proceeded to vomit, which smelt like my pad Thai lunch, and at one point I was feeling really faint and ended up passing out. I woke up a little while later laying down next to the toilet with a bruise on my head (must had hit my head on the toilet on the way down). It was kinda scary. I don't know what caused the food poisoning, but I figure it may have been from my lunch (pad Thai, might have been from the prawns, or the mango shake may have been made with ice that was from tap water). I was kinda annoyed but the worst was over and I slept on and off that night. Day 5 I didn't want to go out today as I still felt a bit ill, but I needed to pick up my suit, so I had one of the hotel staff hail a taxi for me, I went to the tailors, tried my suits on (they were absolutely perfect, worth all the money I paid for them), paid the balance, the guy even chucked in a free tie. Afterwards, I hailed a taxi all my myself (was proud of myself) and spend the rest of the day in my hotel room feeling sorry for myself as this was not what I wanted to do on my holiday! Day 6 Still wasn't feeling 100% better, but decided to venture out for a while today. I ended up going to the Chatuchak market which was huge, and bought a few nice shirts. I was feeling still a bit weak so I just went back to the hotel. Day 7 My last day. I was feeling slightly better today so I went out to Siam Paragon and was craving some western food. Normally if I am in a foreign country I don't eat the western food, because I can just get it back home, but today I had a burger and fries and it was amazing. After browsing for a bit, I ventured out to Baantewa, getting a little lost in the process. I chose a small, but strong guy named Dan, and the massage started pretty normally and then got heated, he was a really good kisser, and then he said those magic words, "I fuck you now?" and I was a little apprehensive because I was still not feeling quite right, but I relented and was glad I did because it was actually really good lol. He called me sexy and kept saying "I like you" and again, I don't care if he says that to all of his customers, it made me feel good. Tipped him 2000 baht and was on my way. Later that night, I had dinner at the hotel's rooftop bar and it was nice just looking out at the view. Day 8 Back to Australia today. I'm a bit of a stress-head when going to airports so I feel the need to get there quite early. I figured traffic would be a nightmare, but then ended up getting to the airport 4 hours early. A little too early. But anyway, the rest of the trip was uneventful, made my connection in Singapore on the way back to my home city. Afterthoughts: Would I say that this trip was a success? Yes and no. The whole food poisoning thing was a bit of a downer and took time away from my plans, and I didn't off any guys really. Had a couple of massages which were nice, but there wasn't much action on Grindr either. I dunno? Maybe I didn't put myself out there enough, I'm quite a shy person normally. But I'm glad I went. I got to experience things that don't normally happen in my home city. And the Thai people are really nice people. I had random people speaking to me in Thai on a few occasions - do I look Thai? haha. Anyway I'll be going back to Thailand in a couple of months, this time staying in Pattaya (also going to Cambodia, Phuket and Phillipines) so I'm going to do it right this time! Thanks for reading
  20. Thanks for all the warm replies and suggestions gentlemen - ill keep you all updated! If I get a bit stuck I might try to organise a meet-up, but for now, I'll just see how I go. Can't wait!!
  21. Hi everyone, A couple of months ago I booked a trip to Bangkok and whilst researching things to do, I discovered this wonderful forum. I really do enjoy reading the detailed trip reports of some users (numazu, vinapu, such an inspiration!) I always knew there was a sex industry there, but I didn’t realise how huge it was. Anyway a little about me, I am a young looking 32 year old from Australia (with mixed Australian/Filipino heritage), pretty shy, but really looking forward to this trip – it will be my first time in Thailand. I’m looking forward to seeing the culture and touristy type things, but also excited to experience the massage parlours, go-go bars and that type of stuff too. I’ve booked a private tour guide for a couple of days, and will also go exploring by myself. I’m only there for 7 days and am staying at the Hotel Muse. Whilst looking for accommodation I stumbled across this hotel and instantly fell in love with the darker colours and the whole theme of it. Sure it is a little on the pricey side, but I’m on holidays so I thought I would splurge. I think I have mostly everything sorted, but I am just wondering if there was much of a (western) classical music scene in Bangkok? Particularly piano. I’m obsessing a little over this trip and have been watching gay Thai dramas on YouTube – ‘Gay Ok Bangkok’ and ‘Make It Right’ (the latter is sooo cute, and the guys are so beautiful). If anyone has any more suggestions for thai dramas – please send them my way! I will definitely do a trip report to add to the forum’s growing number of trip reports and I really can’t wait to go. Only a week to go! For a place that I’ve never been to, I just have a feeling that I’m going to have a really great time!
