  1. Hi all, I'm just having a think about my next Thailand holiday and would love spend some days having a relaxing time on an island resort. As Thailand's islands are plentiful, I'm hoping for some recommendations if you have any. Preferably easy to get to (like one flight from Bangkok, or one ferry ride), beach/ocean views (from the hotel), good food nearby etc. Not completely remote, but not too built up either. Not too worried about gay bars or massage parlours as I'm sure there will be options on Grindr. I've already been to Phuket and Koh Larn, so preferably somewhere I haven't been. Or even somewhere coastal, not necessarily an island. If you have any ideas, I would be thankful! Cheers!
  2. Hi all, I came across this really interesting video on YouTube about the history and future plans of the Bangkok mass transit system. I really like seeing this sort of stuff. Seems like every time I come to Bangkok, more new stations are opening up which is great! Hopefully all the planned routes eventuate. I much prefer this method of transport whilst visiting Bangkok (when I manage to venture out of Silom that is..)
  3. So sorry to hear that your plans went a bit pear-shaped! Here's hoping the rest of your trip is successful!
  4. What a lovely story, thank you for sharing! As for myself, I just went to sleep well before midnight like it was any other day lol.
  5. I am fond of guys from any and all asian countries but if I had to make a choice between Filipino and Thai guys I would have to go with Thai for the simple reason that they are uncut. Just a preference of mine.
  6. Thanks for the feedback about Paradise and getting to the bar early - good tips. A dream boy that I'm in regular contact with once told me that he gets to the bar before 8pm when it opens. Another good experience at Paradise, definitely will stop by. Ahaha sometimes fantasy is very different to reality, but I will try my best to go ahead with my plans in the limited timeframe! I can top as well, but the majority of guys that I go with seem to want to fuck me (which I don't mind at all tbh). Ah yep good tip, cheers. Good idea to reserve guy for later, I remember reading that in some of your trip reports. I think the general consensus is that going to the bar early is totally fine so I will give it a go, who knows, maybe the music will be not so loud whilst there isn't many people around.. Ah yep, getting the timing right is a good tip also.
  7. I’ve heard good things about Cutey and Beauty on Patpong 2 but have never been there myself yet.
  8. Note: question 3 refers to Bangkok (forgot to mention)
  9. Since my upcoming trip is only short, I’ve been working on somewhat of an itinerary to make the most of my time (obviously flexible in case I get sidetracked). Just a few questions though: 1. I know this usually comes down to the individual masseur and situation, but which of the soi 6 massage establishments would full service be likely (if any)? I’ve tried M star and received a particularly non-exciting handjob. Prime I definitely won’t expect anything there but will visit every day anyway because it’s such high quality. 2. Same as question 1 but in Jomtien complex as I’ve never had a massage there actually. Only on dongtan beach where the masseur actually tried to fuck me right there in public under a towel. Interesting times.. 3. Since time is short, and there are so many dicks to see, I will attempt to off two guys per night which means I’ll need to start early - if I go to the bars at 8pm when they open, will I be the only one there? Or do other people go at that time too? It would just be a bit awkward that’s all lol. Thanks fellas.
  10. They are human too.. just remember that for next time..
  11. Thanks for the suggestions! I love that we can discuss the most mundane of topics such as crossing the road…
  12. Ibis Styles sounds great! But I would imagine crossing Silom Road would be a pain. Which is why I don't stay at the Raya anymore because crossing Surawong road was annoying. First world problems I know...
  13. I've heard differing things about Avani. I've stayed there once before and had a massage guy come to my room but this was during the day, so I am not sure if it would be any different during the night.
  14. Will do! Sounds absolutely delightful and I'm looking forward to checking out all the displays!
  15. I’m very excited to be going to Thailand again, in January. The last time I was there was in June/July this year which was the first time after a 2.5 year absence. This trip will only be very short as it will be book ended by family commitments in the Philippines and then work commitments back home. Thanks to some suggestions here I’ve decided to spend 2 days in Pattaya and 4 days in Bangkok. In Pattaya I originally wanted to stay at Welcome World Beach Resort as I wanted a room with an ocean view, so I messaged them on Line to check what their joiner policy was, but they didn’t get back to me for nearly 2 days so I booked other accommodation in the meantime. Turns out they charge 800 baht for joiners which I’m not really prepared to pay. I ended up booking at the Agate which I have not stayed at before but seems to be positively reviewed. I can just go to the beach during the day. The last time I was in Jomtien I didn’t have the best time as I was a little unprepared as to how the host bars work, so I’ll read up on that. There are also the apps, which I found to be successful as I met a bar boy there and subsequently offed him 3 times. As for Bangkok, I’ve booked at the Tarntawan as I’ve stayed there before and I’ve found it comfortable and affordable, and I do like the security aspect that the guys have to leave their ID at the door/reception. It’s only a short trip so I plan to fit in as much as I can (might have to start early and have 2 guys per night lol), but I am very much looking forward to it. Trip report to come!
  16. Also, I forgot to ask, how much did you tip the driver?
  17. Thank you for your report. I will be going to Pattaya next month and I usually take the bus from Suvarnabhumi but I was toying with the idea that this time I might take a taxi, and your report was helpful in helping me make my decision.
  18. I'll be arriving at around 11am, so starting in Pattaya does seem like a good choice. I usually just take a combination of ARL/MRT/walk or ARL/BTS/walk. Rolling a suitcase from Silom or Sala Daeng station is always a fun time lol. Yes to all of the above! Massages - yes, restaurants - yes, gogo/host bars - gogo preferred but host can do also, twinks/masculine - I like both, but at the end of the day I will usually go with whoever has the nicest face (amongst other things), sky bars - they are nice, but not too fussed, shopping - I'm not a big shopper like I used to be but I like both malls and markets. I like the way you divided it up - I'll be there for 6 days, so now I'm actually thinking 2 in Pattaya and 4 in Bangkok rather than 3 and 3, thanks for the suggestion!. Bangkok is my favourite but I would like a bit of a beach getaway too. Ah this is what I did not quite think about! Thank you for alerting me to this as it is quite an important factor in deciding where to stay!
  19. And just to hijack my own thread, if one was to spend a short amount of time in Thailand, would you prefer: 1. Bangkok then Pattaya 2. Pattaya then Bangkok 3. Just Bangkok. Can't really decide, all I have booked is the flight in and out of BKK and they are at reasonable times.
  20. Ah yep makes sense, cheers. I probably should have said 'ocean view', that's what I'm after.
  21. Hi all. I’ve managed to book myself a short Thailand holiday in between family and work commitments, was hoping for 2 weeks but could only manage 6 days, but any time in Thailand is better than no time in Thailand I reckon. Anyhow, I’m toying with spending half the time in Bangkok and the other in Pattaya (Jomtien), and I’m kinda wanting a hotel with a balcony with a beach view. Has anyone stayed at Welcome World Beach Resort or Avalon Beach Resort? Do these hotels have beach views? If not, is there anything around the general area that would be suitable? Cheers!
  22. I'm pretty shy and introverted, so likely won't start a conversation with anyone, however I will attempt conversation if someone talks to me, I'm just not very good at it lol. I prefer gogo bars as I feel there isn't so much of the social aspect there compared to a host bar. I can just happily watch the show by myself, have a drink and choose a guy, plus conversation is too hard anyway due to a combination of English skills and the deafening volume of the speakers.
  23. I have a regular in dreamboys who is not shy to kiss me in the bar, but then again it's probably because he is a regular.
  24. I've used them twice - CNX to HKT and HKT to BKK. Can't fault them really, to be honest I can't remember much about the flights so it must have been non-eventful which is good in a way.
