    I'm curious. You clearly took your phone or a camera to the beach. I have seen many people warn aggressively about taking NOTHING to the beach. How did you keep your phone safe? Did you get in the water? If so, where did you leave it? Maybe you had a friend with you or something?

    Im a 6ft tall black American...I tend not to have ANY problems in Rio...I went to the beach solo a few times and I had a friend with me once during my last trip

    I did get into the water...

    I left it with my other belongings....within eyesight

    Hey Folks!

    Completely new to this forum. Very grateful for all the sage advice. I've certainly learned a lot. This is my first post.

    I'm going to Rio in a few weeks for primarily a "Rio Gay Sauna Tour". I understand that in the saunas, the cost to spend some "intimate time" is about 100 Reals. Correct me if I'm wrong.

    But I hope to meet a few men who are so amazing that I take down their number and either bring them home for an all-nighter or call them up later in the week and meet them in my apartment I rent.

    What is the going rate for an all-nighter?
    How much for about just 4-5 hours with some sexy time in bed and maybe dinner or accompanying me to a tourist attraction?

    All and any advice will be appreciated!

    Rates will vary based on how attractive you are to the guy and how in demand he is...I was quoted 200R to come back to the hotel and ended up fucking the same guy in the sauna for around 100R...

    There is no set amount to pay since it is all up to negotiations and how low or high a boy wants for his time...

    I don't recommend taking anybody back to your hotel or apartment if you do not know them, do not speak the language or have not spent time with them before in a public place....But hey, you are an adult

    If you want companionship, it may be easier to spend more time in the sauna versus alot of uncomfortable time with somebody who you can't have a proper conversation with...

    My response was to all the previous posts about the trip that said pretty much nothing....

    In just 18 hours, I will be boarding the plane on my way to Rio, by way of Houston. Have plans to meet Tomcal for lunch at 12:30 on Wednesday. As the song says.. So many men, so little time..

    I am flying on United, thru IAH to GIG. The segment from IAH to GIG will be on a 787-9 dreamliner. This will be my first trip on the dreamliner. I hope it is all that the reviews make it out to be..

    10 days to go.....

    Maybe some of the guys do get as equally as excited as he is reading this stuff.....

    I made it to Rio. Getting settled in to my apt and meeting Tomcal in about 30 minutes for lunch

    How about actually posting something that you have done that is interesting....

    I can not be the only person that is wondering why you keep giving updates about NOTHING....

    I get it, you are super excited and hyped but please consider your audience and post something interesting

    Hi guys! Its looking likely I'll be heading down to Brazil this fall with my buddy. Does anyone have any info on the girl scene there? (odd question in this corner i know ;) Any forums or websites that our straight brothers can check out?

    Its Rio....your friend wont have any problem picking up females....The more attractive he is and the more Portuguese he speaks, the better the quality female he can meet....There are women ALL over Rio...Touristy areas and non touristy areas

    No Portuguese or not very attractive, hell likely get tons of prostitutes interested

    Thank you for your insight. Your suggestion of taking a garotos out as company from sauna is enticing. Can I assume they are pretty safe since the sauna has their ID? Also what would be the going rate for taking them out so I can use that as a base? I may take them out as a company later that night or the next day during the day. Does anyone have experience with whether Renaissance on overnight guest? Thank you in advance

    1. If you speak NO Portuguese, this is pointless outside of saunas unless you want sex...if you are looking for companionship from a garoto and want to spend that much money to basically not communicate, best regards to you...

    2. They are safe inside the saunas, outside the saunas, they are not monitored and they do not leave id cards in the saunas....

    3. Going rate varies....most of the guys are working so they leave the saunas around midnight, maybe a little before and hang until morning or afternoon depending on their schedules, rates are usually determined before you decide to leave with them or have them meet you at your hotel...

    4. You should read the other posts and forums....learning some Portuguese will definitely help you since you are looking for somebody to spend time with versus just sex....again, most of the working boys do not speak much English and the ones that do are VERY hip on how to rip foreigners off outside of the saunas...

    Can any avid Brazilian travelers recommend some good bars/clubs with good looking go-go boys/strippers? Are they just eye candies or do they give lap dances/touch allowed? Thinking about relaxing there after Sauna closes. Thank you in advance for your kind advices.

    Most of the strippers in the saunas in Rio do not escort, they are there to dance only and normally leave....

    The strippers that I have seen at LeBoy and The Week also are straight and normally do not allow touching...they are more go go boys....

    Why would you need a lap dance after going to the sauna? Just asking since that whole reason for a lap dance is no longer needed due to the saunas....

    I was wondering...do the garrotos at 117 mind if you take photos of their cocks, etc.? How do they feel about face photos. Do you just bring your phone with you and ask for some pics when you are in the room with them?

    It depends...some of the guys don't care....some definitely will not let you do it...

    When I first started traveling to Rio....I would take pics of guys in the hallway with no problem, now most of the pics I take are in the private rooms and not all of them are okay with it....

    I don't have any experience with how much guys pay...It's not something that I require since I don't care but I thought it was almost always included with the standard fee....

    Great info....can you give some details about Carnival....that is the one time of the year I havent been to Rio but planning on it next year....

    As far as the saunas....I prefer the rentboy saunas because the guys there tend to be very hot but I can imagine during Carnival that the other saunas become packed....

    Check out Sexy Rose as well....Off Cinelinda not too far from Lapa....
