This is a good reason for getting a check for syphillis when you go to get your HIV test. The clinic on Silom (cant recall the name but it is across from Silom Complex and feels as though you are entering a nice club or hotel) usually tests for both.

    I think it’s called Pulse.

  2. I recommend you to use cash only, especially at Bars in Silom. I found a very good money changer who IMHO, offers the best rate possible. It’s at Sala Daeng BTS Station. You just go to where the tickets are being sold and it is located right there, the only money changer at the BTS itself.

  3. I dislike the manager though. He seems a little bit pushy and tried to sell their more expensive course like scrub etc. Then when you insisted not to, he finally backed off but started to speak in Thai lol.

Yup, which is 400 more than minimum. Im not sure what service was provided though. But arena price range is lower indeed, since the facilities isnt as good as prince/vck/myhero.

The link above spelt out the minimum tips and what it entitles. Given the post date is 2011, they havent raise their price at all since then.

I see. Sorry for the confusion as I was made to understand that for a 90 minutes session, the minimum tip is 1500 bath to the boy. My apology!

The minimum tip is only for hj i think, which is why its usually lower than full service shop like prince etc. So if service was more than just hj, as asnstudent did, u should give more than minimum

I see. I thought asnstudent paid 1400 bath as tips?

So, I went to Arena massage shop this afternoon.. now I know why this place is highly recommended.. I got there around 2:30 pm.. since I needed help with directions, I had to call their shop and mamasan was already expecting me when I got there. once I entered the room (should we call it lobby or what?), all the guys immediately stood up and formed a reverse U shape, all facing towards me.. being quite nervous, I just asked mamasan to let me use the restroom, not because I needed to use its primary purpose, but to take some time to compose myself.. after taking a few deep breaths and wiping off all the sweats on my forehead, I went back to the lobby.. the guys were standing there, all trying to make eye contacts with me, smiling at me.. there were approximately 20-25 guys in total, a few of whom were really big muscular guys.. the average age appeared to be much older than that of Ganymede, and a bit older than my hero and Prince, I guess. not knowing whom to choose, I just let my innate preferences do its job.. among more muscular guys, my finger was pointing at the smallest boy with a toned body and baby face.. I chose a 90 minutes oil course, 800 baht and minimum tip of 1000. the guy led me to the room upstairs... since everyone has been already aware of its appearance and level of cleanliness, I am not going to repeat it.. an attached small shower booth inside, just next to the table.. the table could be quite short for tall guys... Massage was pretty good to my surprise, started with sensual, with nice strokes at times, then became more erotic.. the whole session took exactly 90 minutes and I was happy at the end.. I gave the tip of 1000 baht plus 400 extra to the boy inside the room .. his name is Teep, he said he's from Issan. I would strongly recommend him..

I thought the minimum tip for 90 minutes massage is 1500 bath?

I have been worried since Soi Twilight closed as so many have said the area was gloom and doom and the gogo scene in Bangkok was dead. I have no idea where these ideas came from. The scene is just as active and vibrant as before. The venues have changed. The beer bars are gone but the bars and the gogo scene is great. I was in three bars tonight on Patpong 1: FreshBoys, LuckyBoys, and Screwboys.  All three were excellent. All had a plethora of sexy guys to choose from and the boys were just as plentiful as before. In fact, I think the bars have been upgraded as I certainly did enjoy the new seats, new looks, and lighting. Do not listen to the naysayers. It may take some time to walk around and see everything. But, the gay scene and the gay gogo bars are great in gay Thailand and Bangkok's scene is fun and active.

Wow thanks Michael! What do you think of Lucky Boys? What type of boys mostly will we see in there?

It’s ok to wear it inside. you aren’t offending anyone.

I have seen some Asian customers wear face mask in Jupiter.

Face masks aren’t only against pollution but protect others from spreading viruses from their own coughs when you have cold.

    I seeee! Thanks Jasper!

Bangkok has been extremely hot. Some people are wearing the face masks to combat the heat and pollution. I know boys who always carry a mask in case they jump on the back of a motorbike taxi.

But is it okay to wear it inside a building? I hope it’s okay but I never saw anyone wear those mask in any bars during my last visit. I’m just worried that I may offend anyone.

You know Kev, its also worn for health reasons so I don't think its against their culture. I'd like to try wearing it on DB Paradiso, I'll buy a face mask b4 my next trip, lol.

Get the cool black one DV! So trendy hahaha.

Just cover your face when you walk...or better yet, my plan is 2 wear a face mask, lol...

I have been wondering about the face mask that I’ve seen has become a trend in Thailand. Is it proper if we wear one of those indoor? I’m afraid that it may not appropriate to Thai culture, if any. I have been thinking about wearing it since it may save us from being recognised in the bar lol (sometimes from other boys).

    A few updates from Moonlight...

Post Songkran the crowds significantly lessened but most of the Hong Kong and Singapore regulars were out in full force for the long holiday weekend. Including what one mamasan dubbed the “older sister-older brother” brigade LOL.

Mamasan M had his birthday at the bar last night with a lavish party supposedly part-sponsored by regular customers.

Tae participated in Mr Thailand, did not win, but looks much better for it.

Nicky has not been at the bar lately because he has been “moonlighting” in other venues. Joob men’s club?

Sunny was roped in to perform during a Songkran show but has not been seen since.

Tam has been off work for nearly a week as his female regular is in town. However he was seen in street clothes eating with Smart late last night.

My friend saw Babe sitting outside the bar staring blankly into space around closing time. He asked a mamasan what was wrong with him, and the answer was “Exhausted” because he had been offed for around 10 nights in a row since Songkran.

Many of the floor boys were booked out for multiple days including Sky but are now trickling back to work as the customers head home.

Then I guess only Babe, Lucky, Mark and Khun are left for the model parade. Not so good for Moonlight I guess. Less boys, less interested clients.

Oh no, what if Mr. Perfect Guy and I are cuddling and being romantic with each other on the seat and this will be recorded on live stream, OMG!!!

Hahahaha! Based on my previous trip on their opening day, there are few small round tables arranged at the entrance, near the bar. Try to come earlier and grab those seats and try to grab the live feed camera and hide it away! Hahaha kidding!
