Paris/Prague July 2011
TownsendPLocke replied to TownsendPLocke's topic in European Men and Destinations
Prague is a lovely city with much to reccomend it to tourists.I thoroughly enjoyed my 5 days there and would return should the chance arise. However I found the 4 cruising spots to be a let down and I will just chalk it up to the stars not aligning during my visit. Temple Bar was cool-but the talent there was pretty stand offish. The staff was the best feature. Temple Club had promise-but I just could not find the right guy. My two friends did score(one was a hit and the other a "meh")so maybe I was being too picky. When one of the boys asked me"what do you consider a big dick?"I replied "18-25 cm."he replied"you should be looking in the zoo"! The benches in front of the bus terminals were a delight-to look at!No way was I going to try and slip one of those fellas into my hotel. Escape had nothing but twinks the two nights we went. The crowd was sparse on both visits. Even Saturday night at midnight it was painfully deserted with low energy. A friend went with one of the boys, paying 3k krn's and it was only a"ok"date. So I will be generous and put the blame on poor timing on my part.I hope next time will be better. Paris-welllll I LOVED Paris. I would move there in a skinny minute if I had the means.I was kept far too busy to even think about sex-well almost! -
Townie: have you reached 10 Million Miles yet?
TownsendPLocke replied to TotallyOz's topic in The Beer Bar
Sadly I am just over 2 million lifetime miles in all programs=with very few of those earned by B.I.S.(Butt In Seat)flying. It has been a blast both accumulting and spending these miles. 10 million BIS miles is a real wowser. TomCal is in the right program for FFP status via miles since AA counts EVERY mile-no matter how you earn it-towards lifetime status.I wish UA did that. -
That was the news tearfully given me on the phone this morning by a very close lady friend. They have been married for 26 years, have a marvelous(fully grown)child and also have a business together. I have never had a whiff of bisex adventurism from her in the past=and I have known her a long long time. She says she needs more"passion" and tender love than what her husband has been giving her. I know this lady(in her 50s)is prone to hormonal hystaria(if there is such a thing) and advised her to just really wait on this for a long while. She describes her husband as a really good room mate.I told her there are worse things than growing old with a good and loyal friend-which is what her husband is in my eyes. Any of you have any experience with this sort of thing?

It has been over three years now since I stopped posting over at the other site(which I left under my own steam BTW) and i do not regret it one bit. I do peek over there (very)occasionally-and I am very comfortable with my decision

"You are welcome here." Welllllll ok-but you proceed this with a complaint/opinion about a particular posting style(not that I disagree with you on this point)which might be taken as critical. Honestly-I come to this board to discuss things which I see as interesting.Sometimes others are interested-sometimes they are not and that is fine.I do try and post things here that might have relevence to MERmen-and I tend to only read post having to do with the giste of the site.I have other boards where I can discuss more mainstreem subjects. This is the only site I visit where I can openly discuss escorts/porn/strip clubs etc. So yes-all are welcome(as long as they are not jackasses) but that does not mean all will read/like your posts or find them of value. And that is perfectly fine.

Had a school chum email me today with the disclosure that he is gay and is tired of living a lie.Unfortunately there is a wife and kids involved. There has been a path of such disclosures from him over the past year evolving from "mostly straight with occasional fantasies about guys"to "bi-but mostly straight" and now this. I have been out since I was 16 but I have many aquaintences who have not come out till much later in life such as the above friend(who is 50)and I just wanna shout "you have missed the best bits!"but I know that would be cruel and useless given the situation-so I hold my tongue. So-any resources I can point this fella towards? TIA for your advice. __________________

SPG(Sheraton/Westin/W's etc,,,) Is running a pretty good promo for those of you that like to stay in nice resort places(RIO and Thailand come to mind)but do not like to pay too much. For every three stays at any Starwood property you get one night free at a resort property. You can stay at any cheap sheraton four points 3 times(one night stays are fine-just not consecuative nights)and get a free night at a really nice hotel that would cost twice your investment in this. https://www.spgpromos.com/getawayfree/?IM=Q2GF_GWGW_en_us

A call for artistic and or literary Working Fellas
TownsendPLocke replied to TownsendPLocke's topic in The Beer Bar
BTW- the header should read "Working Fellas" hopefully that can be changed! -
A friend over at the NYC offices of Rentboy.com has asked me to help with this project. I know at least 3 of the working fellas who post regularly on this site are artistic and a few more that write.I suspect there are many more lurking in the shadows. Here is a new publication that would like to see what you can do outside of bed! http://blog.rentboy.com/post/4161857955/call-for-submissions-sex-worker-zine-project

I thought he was the weakest of many weak performances.I did not enjoy this at all. There is an older concert performance that, while it is not so grand, has much better performers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Les_Mis%C3%A9rables:_The_Dream_Cast_in_Concert

I am reading/enjoying Justin Spring's book about Samuel Steward and am fascinated by his history. Pretty boy who was a sadist/Professor/friend to Gertrude Stein and her circle/left academia to become a tatoo artist/ and then wrote erotic stories under the pen name of Phil Andros http://www.nytimes.com/2010/07/26/books/26secret.html Highly recommend this book. I bought a new copy on ABEbooks.com for $15 including shipping
