  1. I decided to post here as this is my original thread. Hello everyone, I am back from my 11 day trip to Brazil. I feel sick, I threw up yesterday, I feel better now. On top of that I have a sore anus. Let me begin by saying, now I understand why everyone raves about Brazil here in the forum I am not much of a writer, so I will try to keep it brief but I do realize the benefits for sharing information especially for newbies like me. It helped a lot, So I really want to thank all the people who have shared knowledge about their Brazil trips. I did 5 nights in Sao Paulo and 6 nights in Rio. Solo Trip. I was super nervous, I have been to other countries but for some reason, Brazil was alway regarded as unsafe everywhere. Anyways lets get to the point. I want to let you know that this review is from a first time Brazil visitor and not a seasoned one. From Day 1-4 I went to Lagoa. My Oh my. It was delicious! haha. I know some people who have been to Brazil multiple times have mentioned that Lagoa is not the same anymore in terms of boys but for a first timer like me, it was amazing!! The only day it was kinda disappointing to me was Sunday at lagoa (I was there thu-sun) in terms of boys. I really liked the staff there too, very helpful. There was this one garoto whose name started with 'H' was such a sweetheart, he ended up becoming my regular. One thing to note, calling an uber To Lagoa is almost impossible. I had so many drivers cancel the ride. I think it is because of the confusing turn maybe. So what I used to do was call the uber to the market 'Remax' which was on the next street and stay in the market, until uber comes. Both the hotel people and lagoa people always told me to never take my cellphone out in public. On Monday day 5, I give myself some rest.Ooofff. A bottom needs to eat as well. Lowkey jealous of all the tops. I would do light breakfast, then douche after a couple of hours, have my fiber pills and have dinner after the sauna visit. On Day 6, Tuesday. I took the bus to Rio. It was through Flixbus. Really good bus but crappy wifi. After reaching Rio and freshen myself up. I was ready to go to 117 on their famous tuesday. Very nice front desk person, and he explained to me in english. I then made my way to explore the building. To my disappointment, it is such a run down, old looking building with mostly old looking rooms. But the selection of garotos was phenomenal there. Muscular!! A bottom's heaven...lol On Day 7, Wednesday. I went to 202. This was their free cabin day and it was packed!! I have never spent this much time at a sauna, but that includes the wait times for the room. The building is worse than 117 but the rooms are slightttllyy better. On Day 8, Thursday. I checked Meio Mundo but it was dead, probably on the wrong day. The guy was nice enough for me to check out the place before I pay. I went to 117 then. Following days I switched between 117 and 202. I don't know which one is Junior at 202 but the young guy on the front desk who is probably the son of the older finer gentleman is sooo cute. Other things to note: I did uber for everything as this was my first time. Maybe i was a little too cautious. I used Uber black. I used Airbnb experiences for touristy things I stayed at hotels in both SP (Ibis Styles Centro) & Rio (Royal Regency Palace Hotel). I did not intend to bring anyone to my room. I got a cheap alternate cellphone but I was not able to get a sim at GRU airport without a brazilian document, so I had to go to a mall and go to the vivo store to get the sim. They speak Portuguese but if you speak Spanish, you can get by for a short visit. Don't get me wrong when I say 'run down building'. I was expecting 117 and 202 to look like Thermas Barcelona & Lagoa. Having said that neither thermas bcn or lagoa are palaces but you would understand what I am talking about when comparing to 117 or 202. The boys charged $R 150 - 200. I did not negotiate. Brazil is a beautiful country, a must visit. As long as you are aware of your surroundings, you are good. I would love to go again! Don't let anything discourage you from visiting. Feel free to ask any questions!
  2. Nvm 202 is even more rundown 😂 but ngl i had fun there! Ok I am going to stop now and post my full first ever Brazil trip review in a seperate thread when I come back.
  3. Club 117 is so run down, dirty, old looking 🤢 Does anyone know if Point 202 has better infrastructure? I'll probably check out today.
  4. What is Meio Mundo? Is it a GP Sauna?
  5. One thing i noticed is after reading the Brazil posts here, is that everyone got a room in the sauna after they agreed on a garoto. My question here is, can I not just take room keys in the beginning and then search for garoto? Atleast thats what I did in Thermas Barcelona. I would get the locker & room keys at the same time.
  6. How long are the sessions in Lagoa, 117 and 202? Like for example in Thermas BCN its usually 30 mins.
  7. Are wait times for rooms at 117 really bad or does it only depend on the day?
  8. What times of the day you went those places?
  9. Can anyone please guide me what are the best time and days to go to Lagoa, 117 & 202? From my research on this forum, Tuesday seems very busy for 117. Wednesday is slow for 202. Sat and Sun are good days for lagoa. But I would love to have updated info?
  10. What bus have wifi that goes from Sao Paulo to Rio and back?
  11. I booked my flight!!! 8th March to 20th March (Sao Paulo & Rio)
  12. What is the bus company you used for the travel?
  13. Thank you for the answers y'all. I got one more...lol I see that Lagoa has some shows too. Do they take place at a different floor? Are Garotos still available during the show or does everyone sits down and watches the show? I know it's a stupid question but just wanna make sure 😄
  14. @Heba as-sa3udeya thanks for the detailed post. I love it. Just one question. You keep using the word 'pass'. What do you mean by 'pass' here? Thanks
  15. Hello everyone, before I continue, I would like to clarify that I have ready dozens of Brazil posts in this forum and they are all very helpful. However I have some specific questions that I would like to ask 🙂 I still haven't booked tickets yet. 1. Everyone says to carry a cheap alternative phone, which one y'all recommend especially for uber? 2. Are there any food delivery apps? 3. Where do you exchange money at the airport? I see people talk about ATM but are there any currency exchange options at the airport (Sao Paulo or Rio)? 4. As this will be my first time, I would like to see at least the touristy spots, do you think an Airbnb Experience will be a safe option? 5. Is there a place to purchase a sim card with data at the airport (Sao Paulo or Rio)? 6. For GP saunas, is it the same as Barcelona Thermas, where you go back to your locker after the session to grab the cash and meet the guy and hand him the cash or is there a different method followed in brazil? Thank you so much
  16. Thanks thats good to hear. I met an escort in Thermas Barcelona from Brazil and he strictly advised me to take uber/taxi when going to sauna in brazil.
  17. So, is an uber easily available from Lagoa? I see some people mentioned in some topics that it takes long for uber to show up..is that true?
  18. Hey @gap1972 i gotta dumb question..lol But those prices that you mentioned (300, 250) in your last post, are those brazilian reals or usd? Thanks!
  19. @asdsrfrhow do you navigate if you leave your cellphone at the apartment? One more question, the area where 202 & 117 located, how safe are those areas?
  20. I have trip planned but I am confused on their travel restriction. I can do a PCR test. But as far as vaccination is concern I have had my 'booster shot' in November 2021. Their website says: Vaccines are valid from 14 days after the last dose up to 270 days. If more than 270 days (9 months) have passed since receiving the last required dose of their COVID-19 vaccine, U.S. citizens must show proof of having received a booster shot. The booster shot certificate is valid since the day it was administered. I don't understand the last part. My booster shot is past 270 days but are they only talking about the 270 days for the second dose of the vaccine?
