  1. A new exhibition at Liam's begins on November 4th, 2006 at 8PM. The exhibition runs through the 24th of November. For those of you that have not been to Liam
  2. Last night I was with a new guy. He was born and raised in Pattaya. When I sat with him at the bar, he could not speak a word of English. He could answer no questions and could not even say hello in English. I thought he was cute so I spend some time with him. After sex, he said: "Are you happy? Do you like me? How was it?" I looked at him and said, "I thought you could not speak English." He smiled and said Nitnoi. It was a miracle. I like to think that the 30 minutes he spent with me changed his life and he was now able to have a firm grasp of the English language. Or, perhaps I was just too good in bed that he was able to speak in tongues? Or, just perhaps, I was played? Not sure but I am still laughing about it this AM.
  3. I think the word love is not meant the same way and we use it for a life long relationship. I think it is more a sense of multifaceted feeling and younger people use it much more than us old farts. Having brought more than a few 1st world hookers here for a visit, there is not one of them that would disagree with the young man's statements about the 2 types of clients here or how wonderful the people in Thailand are. Hell, that is why we all visit here. They are the sweetest people on earth IMHO. I don't think there is much that most escorts from other places that visit here would disagree with in his assertion. Just because you and I tend to look at the world through a microscope, analyzing each action lets not let those that still have the innocence to look at the world in rose-colored glasses. It makes the world so much more picturesque.

LOL Aren't most here for the intercourse? Personally, I love the social intercourse.
  5. My role is not just moderator but also a poster. I enjoy posting on the boards and I have read and reread this thread and see nothing that GayButton should have major issues with. Perhaps Marrice and I had a few words but they didn't get out of hand. We both moved on from them. As a matter of fact, I invited him for a movie night. I have never seen GB act like a pussy. Quite the opposite. He is always on top of things and does a great job at moderating the site. On the other hand, you and LMTU get into one pissing contest after another. When it goes to far for you, you request it be deleted. How about this? Why don't you just stop posting about him totally and he will do the same. That will make the moderators job on both sites much easier. You seem to enjoy calling him names that are inappropriate. He does the same to you. I really don't see how you can ask in one paragraph to have something deleted that you started in the first place. I know the 2 of you will never be friends. I could care less. However, to solve the problem on this site, I will from now on delete any referece you make toward him and he toward you, no matter how sly or witty or under the table it may be. I think it is the buildup of traffic in Bangkok and Pattaya brought on by the start of high season. I have noticed many more cars and much more traffic. The fumes get to me. Perhaps I need to wear a mask when I drive my scooter? I think PeterUK and WowPow summed it up quite nicely. This is really paradise. No place on earth like it. Why am I so gullible? The eyes. The smooth skin. The sweet spirit. The good intentions. Mix all of that with someone who I think enjoys my company, and I get gullible very easily.
  6. WoW. I never knew you felt this way. Can we get together and watch The Green Mile or Titanic together. I do love a good hanky movie. Seriously, thanks for the long post. It was well-written and although I know it did not refer to me, I will read it and learn from it.
  7. Just curious: Are you related to Cruella Deville?
  8. P. T. Barnum Never Did Say "There's a Sucker Born Every Minute" By R. J. Brown Editor-in-Chief P. T. Barnum is most often associated with the circus sideshow and the display of freaks. While this is true, he is also the founding force behind one of America's most famous circuses: Barnum & Bailey Circus. Barnum is also affiliated with the famous quote "There's a sucker born every minute." History, unfortunately, has misdirected this quotation. Barnum never did say it. Actually, it was said by his competitor. Here's the incredible story. From 1866 until 1868 Mr. George Hull, of Binghamton, New York studied archeology and paleontology. Over this period of time Hull contemplated how to pull off a hoax. It seems that many an evangelist at the time had been preaching that there were giants in the earth. In June of 1868 Hull traveled back to Fort Dodge, Iowa where there was a gypsum quarry he had recalled seeing two years earlier. Even then, he had noticed that the dark blue streaks running through the soft lime rock resembled human veins. Realizing this its appearance was tailor-made for his hoax and it was easy to carve, Hull hired a group of quarry workers to cut off a slab measuring twelve feet long, four feet wide and two feet thick. In November, Hull had his gypsum wrapped in canvas and hoisted onto a wagon. Since the nearest railroad was forty miles away, it proved to be a long, difficult job. He then had the slab of gypsum shipped by rail to Chicago where he had hired a stone cutter named Edward Burghardt to carve a giant. Burghardt and his two assistants, were sworn to secrecy and agreed to work on the piece in a secluded barn during their off hours and Sundays. The instructions were to carve the giant as if it had died in great pain, and the final result was an eerie figure, slightly twisted in apparent agony, with his right hand clutching his stomach. All of the details were there; toenails, fingernails, nostrils, sex organs and so forth. Even a needlepoint mallet was used to add authentic-looking skin pores. When the carving was done, sulfuric acid and ink were used to make the figure look aged. The giant finished, Hull then had the figure shipped by rail to the farm of William Newell, his cousin, located near the town of Cardiff, New York. In the dead of night, Hull, Newell and his oldest son buried the giant between the barn and house. They were instructed to say nothing about it and that Hull would let them know in about a year of what the next stage was. Luckily, about six months later, on another farm near the Newell's, some million year-old fossil bones were dug up. Newspapers around the country reported the finding. Hull was filled with glee in reading the accounts. True to his word, one year after burying the giant, Hull sent word to his cousin on October 15, 1869, to start the next stage of the hoax. Newell hired two laborers to dig a new well near his home. Newell directed them to the exact spot he wanted the well dug and went back into the house to wait -- anxiously. Sure enough, well into the day, the two laborers rushed up to the house to announce their discovery: a giant turned to stone! The laborers and both Newells carefully excavated the area surrounding the giant. News of this amazing discovery spread throughout the valley and soon wagon loads of neighbors streamed into Newell's farm to see the giant. By mid-afternoon, Newell erected a tent around the "grave" and started charging 25 cent admission. Two days later, the Syracuse Journal (New York) printed an article about the discovery. Being greedy, Newell raised the price to 50 cents, and a stage coach company made four round trips a day from Syracuse to the Newell farm. Thousands came every day. Among the visitors were clergymen, college professors and distinguished scientists. Before long, the expert's opinions split into two theories; one side claimed it was a true fossilized human giant and the other side pronounced it an authentic ancient statue. No one asserted that it was a fake! About ten days after the discovery, and about the time the Cardiff Giant, as the papers had named it, started receiving national attention, Hull sold two-thirds interest in the giant for $30,000 to a five-man syndicate in Syracuse, the head of which was a banker named David Hannum. The syndicate moved the giant to an exhibition hall in Syracuse and raised the admission price to a dollar a head. Unknown to them, P. T. Barnum sent an agent to see the giant and make an assessment. The particular Sunday the representative saw the giant, the crowds were abnormally large -- about 3,000 people. The agent wired the news back to Barnum and Barnum instructed him to make an offer of $50,000 to buy it. Hannum turned his offer down. The Cardiff Giant was the most talked about exhibit in the nation. Barnum wanted the giant to display himself while the attraction was still a hot topic of the day. Rather than upping his offer, Barnum hired a crew of workers to carve a giant of his own. Within a short time, Barnum unveiled HIS giant and proclaimed that Hannum had sold Barnum the original giant and that Hannum was now displaying a fake! Thousands of people flocked to see Barnum's giant. Many newspapers carried the version that Barnum had given them; that is, Hannum's giant was a fake and Barnum's was authentic. It is at this point that Hannum -- NOT BARNUM -- was quoted as saying "There's a sucker born every minute." Hannum, still under the impression that HIS giant was authentic, was referring to the thousands of "fools" that paid money to see Barnum's fake and not his authentic one. Hannum brought a lawsuit against Barnum for calling his giant a fake. When it came to trial, Hull stepped forward and confessed that the Cardiff Giant was a hoax and the entire story. The judge ruled that Barnum could not be sued for calling Hannum's giant a fake since it was a fake after all. Thereafter, Hannum's name was lost to history while Barnum was left with the misplaced stigma of being the one to say "There's a sucker born every minute." http://www.historybuff.com/library/refbarnum.html He is also to have allegedly have said:
  9. When I am in NYC, rest assured I pay much more for a working boy than I do for a handyman. I would say about 250 USD more per hour. However, many of the guys I have met are also handmen so sometimes I kill 2 birds with one stone. Nope. I know green when I see it. Plus, my guys spent time with him and got to know him. They are a very good judge of other boys. I think you are quite right. They talk about us just as much as we talk about them. They know where we live, what we do, how well we tip, what we like, the size of our pocketbook and dick, the exboyfriends names, what we like to eat, etc. If you think that only we like to be chatty and catty, you arer wrong. They are talking the talk and walking the walk just as much as we are. My dear WowPow. when LMTU tells you about a boy, you need to go fast to get him. He has a great eye for the special ones. But, he also can't keep it to himself. Most of the time, I get his text and rush there ASAP. You live a few blocks further away than I do. By the time you get there, they ae already back swimming in my pool.

The Cafe Royale and the Ambiance are both in Boyztown and both nice places. The Flamingo is in Soi Day/Night and not a far distance. If you want more upscale and close to Boyztown, the Marriot is nice. If you want a nice apartment, give the Mosiak a try. http://mosaik-pattaya.com/ Go to: www.gaythailand.com www.dreadedned.com www.dragoncastle.net www.pattayagay.com All will give you tons of useful info. I agree with Fire, you need to spend more time in Pattaya if you are looking for the boys. If you are looking for culture, stay in Bangkok more.
  12. A stellar cast. Great performances. Great story. The new movie about the Boston mob is excellent. It is now in Thailand. I think they cut out some scenes from the ones I was described by friends in the USA. But, it was still a great movie.
  13. From Rose Arce CNN Adjust font size: TRENTON, New Jersey (CNN) -- In a decision likely to stoke the contentious election-year debate over same-sex marriage, the New Jersey Supreme Court has ruled that state lawmakers must provide the rights and benefits of marriage to gay and lesbian couples. The high court on Wednesday gave legislators six months to either change state marriage laws to include same-sex couples, or come up with another mechanism, such as civil unions, that would provide the same protections and benefits. The court's vote was 4-to-3. But the ruling was more strongly in favor of same-sex marriage than that split would indicate. The three dissenting justices argued the court should have extended full marriage rights to homosexuals, without kicking the issue back to legislators. Advocates of same-sex marriage hailed the decision, a respite from many defeats this year in courts nationwide. "That is wonderful news," said Cindy Meneghin, one of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit by seven same-sex couples that prompted Wednesday's decision. "We can only hope that that means marriage, because that is the only way they can give us full equality." (Watch a couple say why they want to call their 32-year relationship marriage -- 2:01 ) Garden State Equality, a gay rights group, announced that three state legislators plan to introduce a bill to legalize same-sex marriage. In an e-mail to supporters, the chairman of the group, Steven Goldstein, vowed that only "over our dead bodies will we settle for less than 100 percent marriage equality." Gay marriage opponents promise to fight Those angered by the ruling predicted it will reinvigorate the fight in Congress for a federal constitutional amendment banning same-sex marriage nationwide. "They took the future of marriage out of the hands of the people of New Jersey," said Matt Daniels of the Alliance for Marriage, which supports the amendment. "They are holding a gun to the head of the legislature of New Jersey and saying pick between two bullets -- one that allows civil unions and one that allows marriage." Sen. Sam Brownback a leading social conservative in Congress, said the New Jersey decision "warrants swift, decisive action by Congress in the form of passage of the Marriage Protection Amendment." "Huge social changes should be decided by the people and their elected representatives and should not be forced by the courts," the Kansas Republican said in a written statement. The federal amendment, which President Bush supports, has stalled in Congress. It has so far failed to get the necessary two-thirds vote to be submitted to the states for ratification. Opponents of same-sex marriage contend the New Jersey decision could have a national impact because the state imposes no residency requirements for people seeking marriage. In essence, it could open the door for gay and lesbian couples from other states to marry in New Jersey and challenge laws against same-sex marriage in their own states. The gay marriage debate intensified in 2004 when Massachusetts became the first and only state to allow gay and lesbian couples to marry. The state does not allow nonresidents to marry there, however. Precedent in Vermont The decision mirrors the one made in 1999 by Vermont's highest court, which prompted its legislature to create civil unions for same-sex couples, with the same rights and benefits enjoyed by heterosexuals. (Opinion -- pdf) The New Jersey high court held that state laws prohibiting gay and lesbian couples from receiving the "financial and social benefits and privileges" of marriage violate the equal protection clause of the New Jersey Constitution and served no "legitimate governmental purpose." Noting that New Jersey already prohibits discrimination based on sexual orientation, the high court said there was "no rational basis for giving gays and lesbians full civil rights as individuals while, on the other hand, giving them an incomplete set of rights when they enter into committed same-sex relationships." The justices wrote: "The issue is not about the transformation of the traditional definition of marriage, but about the unequal dispensation of benefits and privileges to one of two similarly situated classes of people." However, they stopped short of finding that same-sex couples have a fundamental right to marry. The ruling said the court would not "speculate" on whether legislation creating civil unions identical to marriage would pass constitutional muster "and will not presume that a difference in name is of constitutional magnitude." The justices also held that the state's domestic partnership law for same-sex couples, passed in 2004, is not an adequate substitute for marriage rights because it provides gay and lesbians with fewer benefits and rights and has more stringent requirements for establishing partnerships than for marrying. A hot button election topic The issue of gay marriage has roiled American politics for more than a decade and on November 7 voters in eight states will decide whether to amend their constitutions to ban gay and lesbian couples from marrying. Same-sex marriage advocates have suffered five high-profile court losses since July, including decisions in the high courts of New York and Washington state upholding state laws prohibiting marriage for gay or lesbian couples. State supreme courts in Nebraska and Georgia also upheld constitutional amendments outlawing same-sex marriage that had been struck down by lower courts. And earlier this month, an appellate court in California upheld the constitutionality of state laws against same-sex marriage, a decision now being appealed to the California Supreme Court. The court said the state's existing Domestic Partnership Act, similar to one adopted in several other states, including California, doesn't go far enough in protecting the rights of gay couples. Episcopal pastors Mark Harris and Denis Winslow, plaintiffs in the New Jersey suit, now have one dream to fulfill: to join the countless heterosexual couples they've married. "We see it as a civil right that we're denied," Winslow said. "Even though we pay first-class taxes, we are treated as second-class citizens. "We don't have that freedom to exercise our relationship in a practical way, dare I say, spiritual way." http://edition.cnn.com/2006/US/10/25/gay.marriage/index.html
  14. No, I am not. I have never claimed superiority over anyone. I have friends that pay 500 baht to guys all the time. The same guys keep seeing them. But, I do think that there are different prices for different acts. We can agree to disagree but my mind won't be changed on this point. I have too many friends who are high end hookers in 1st world countries. They always charge different prices for different things as well as different amounts of time. If a boy is given 500 baht for a short time room upstairs in a bar and is back in 30 min and then given the same for over 4 hours of time, yes, there is a problem there as well. IMHO. As proven in the past, I am gullible. I like to believe people at their word. Hard to do in Thailand. But, I did believe this guy. haha. I much prefer Cheap Charlie. Rolls off my tounge easy. That was really my main point. I also hate when a new guy is not taken by the manager of a bar and told what to expect and what his rights are. It is not up to Farang. It is also up to boy. I have been told this as well. I still think the minimum should be 1,000 baht. But, that is just me and I know the majority disagree with me. You really said what I wanted to say in a much more clear way. Thanks.
  15. The report I got yesterday was that the burned parts had been cleared out. They had a crane with a slew of workers and new board was replaced and paint was added. It may not be beautiful, but I bet it was open last night or will be very soon.
  16. Actor TJ Knight just came out to People magazine. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20061019/ap_on_...ple_t_r__knight One of the things I love about Itunes is that when I am in Thailand, I can keep up with some shows in the states. Gray's Anatomy is one of them. I am glad that it is getting easier and easier for movie and TV stars to come out of the closet. If you are into story lines about gay characters, see Desperate Housewives as the son of one of the main stars is openly gay to his family and it makes for some very interesting moments. Reading the article about TJ, I wondered if the same is true in Thailand. They don't seem to have an issue with gay. Is that the same as with their movie stars? tv stars? music stars? I ask only because I had a Farang boy (21, Univerisity student and living in Bangkok for 5 months) living with me last year. His main Bangkok date was a well know movie star but no one knew he was gay. Would there be issues with that here?
  17. Boy Special asked me 3 days ago to go to Big C to see his mother who is in town for the day. I gave him some extra money to take her out and off he went. He called later that evening and said she wanted to spend the night and he would get her a room for the night.
  18. Ernestos is the place to be on Wednesday nights in Pattaya. It has a great all you can eat buffet. It is a great price and a ton of food. Last night, I ordered the Pork Kebab. It was wonderful. A great sauce was presented with it. It tasted great. Ernesto's is an open air place behind Soi Sunee and adjacent to 3rd Road. It is worth a try.
  19. I have high speed accerss from ToT. It is not realy hgh speed but it is OK for Thailand. It had not been working properly for a week. I have called them 20 times and no help. Finally, yesterday I went to TutCom and bought a new router for the ADSL. It took less than 2 min to install and then, wham, bam, I had high speed. It was not the low speed I had been getting for weeks but the high speed I was paying for. I am not sure how much had to do with the box they gave me as it was set up to their site, but now, the net is much faster and more enjoyable.
  20. A very good idea. It is something we will talk about. Dr. Philipe does a great job with the community. When he lost his lease last year, I talked to Traveler Jim about a new building and said I was willing to make a nice contribution for the group to own a building. I let time get away from me and never really pursued it. Thanks for reminding me of a road less traveled I had forgotten.
  21. I met a guy last night new to Pattaya. It was his second day in the city. He was sweet, spoke good English and very charming. The night before I met him it was his first night. He had never been to Pattaya and had only heard it was a place to make money. He came alone and found a bar. He was offed by a guy who is known to frequent the bars very early looking for fresh guys just
  22. haha. Unless the gander is paying the rent. If you would like to contribute, you can have some pubs on yours as well. How about it? Say 10k baht? Make the check to Gardian Angels in Pattaya. Put in the notation field, Jim's pub donation.
  23. Yes, perfect. I love doggies. Mine have more FFM than the Queen herself. The one in England that is, not me.
  24. I have had it recently. It knocked me on my ass. I woke up one morning and was sick as a dog. Fever, chills, body aches, coughing, etc. I went to the hospital and got antibiotics and other meds. They take a few days to kick in. I have had many Farang friends with the same thing. I have also met at least 10 boys who have the same thing except they didn
