LAguy, 98 days is really a loooong way to go. it only takes them a couple of days to transform from fit to flab unless there's a competition that they are preparing nearing june/july.
 
when did you take these pics alizizou? correct me if i'am wrong i think these pics are not recent.
 
the guy is the first two pics still looks the same as of last week, but he does not come to work everyday. the guy on the last pic is more ripped and a bit thicker than on the pic. third guy AFAIK no longer works in tawan, guy on the 4th and 5th pic was a bit bulkier/less ripped, no 6pack abs than in the pic.

Yes, the ladyboy show is the usual lip sync and group dancing usually consisting 4 to 5 acts. Definitely there on weekends, maybe not on weekdays when there are fewer punters. Btw, someone mentioned that tawan does not allow one to come and see without first paying the 400baht. That only happens on fridays and saturdays when they expect a full house and would not be able to manage the mass exodus after the show. Nirmal nights i see some punters having a look before confirming if they want to stay

First of all it should be automatic to ask for the Boys ID in the Bar. No ID no off. They are well aware of this and are required to have ID if the police visit. If they don't they may not be Thai and therefore you have to decide whether to take the chance.
 
This joiner fee question keeps cropping up even though I would guess over 90% of the Hotels in Thailand will never ask and have no right to ask if your reservation was for 2 people.
 
On top of that most questions about Hotel policies could be answered here or simply sending an email to the Hotel confirming no Joiner fees.
 
There are a few well known Hotels in BKK that require that and most have been outed here numerous times.
 
You can be 100% sure any posts from members here about a Hotel would definitely mean there were no joiner fees or the member would have immediately left.

He is quite well kept. I dont think the offer of a/c and a comfy bed will do it. And long time usually costs 4k minimum.

Since I've been reading good comments about Tawan here, I decided to give it a try.
 
I haven't offed anyone there in maybe 10 years.....in the past they guys seemed too freakishly big, asking for a lot of money only not wanting to do much.
 
 
So I was pleasantly surprised when I saw about 4 or 5 guys I was into...plus the place was packed.

Alizizou you did right thing that you negotiated price in advance and you are right that you did not want to  create scene over money with big guy and former Mr. Thailand champion.
 
It's either possible that he saw you so happy with him that he decided to cash in and upped his price but also it's not unknown that Tawan boys may request 3000 for short time, I heard this too, . so it may be misunderstanding and both of you are telling what you heard.
Personally I think it was his moment of greed which is surprising , I never offed him but know very well few who did and nobody ever mentioned any problems with Thong
 
Lesson learned , next time, like I do ,  use your fingers to support quotation of  price. Since you seem to be happy and planning offing him again   just chalk whole thing off to experience but next time negotiate price firmly and see what happens. My guess is he will go for less .3000 for short time seems to be steep and out of sync even for specimen like him.
 
A 447 is raising valid point but  considering that Thong is big guy which may be bit intimidating and alizizou still seems to be happy with him is probably better that he avoided confrontation.
 
I had similar case with Arena boy back in 2013 who wanted 5000 for long time  and I stood my ground giving him what i normally give but it was easier because it was not first time I met the boy.
 
Boys know the going rates and while trying their luck for more and can't be blamed for it  , they will accept reasonable offer if they are interested in off and you. Be firm but good natured about whole thing and don't be surprised if boy who rejected your offer on one day will approach you with acceptance 2 days later. Even most popular boys sometimes are going home empty handed few nights in row.
 
And the last - do not allow to spoil your vacation experience over 1000 baht row.
