  1. I suppose it's only the American embargo that has held the Cuban people back, the Castros have had nothing to do with it.

    Daddy's Site Dead

As long as you realize Deej is never wrong, you won't have any problems with him. The first week the site comes back up will be insufferable, with the begging for $$$$ and ass kissing.
  3. Vermont is particularly inviting in winter, when the temp is 10 below and snow is up to you shoulders, and the the spring runoff has a river running thru your living room. But August and September are beautiful.
  4. I've also been reading every post. I'm headed back to Bangkok next month and your stories make me want to leave sooner.
  5. I have two friends that work on Soi Twilight, that have left Bangkok and gone home to their family's. They can't even make enough money to eat. They said they will come back when the tourist return. And they are not alone. Sounds like lots of boys are looking for work elsewhere.
  6. Using Airbnb you can get 1 bedroom or studio apt for less than $50.00 per night.
  7. Well if we could have it at the poolside cabana atTotallyOz's hotel, I'm in. If he can get the same wait staff and poolside eye candy we had a couple of weeks ago, I'm doubly in...
  8. I agree. If I've come all that way to go to Hero, I'm not going to stop a block early unless I see something that is really going to make me stop short. I also won't go to massage places that don't have private showers.
  9. I got to watch a couple of episodes of Orphan Black while in Bangkok last month, and really liked it. Now I have to go back and watch season one before I watch the rest of season two. Graceland starts it's second season next week. Can be a bit violent but I really got into it. Even though it's based in Los Angeles, it's filmed here in Miami.
  10. Thanks for the update. Per phone conversations with my friend, some of the places on Soi Twilight have been trying to stay open the last few nights. But as TotallyOz has reported, there are no customers. The Bangkok Post is now reporting that the curfew is being modified starting tomorrow night (wed) from 12:01 - 4am. It will help the nightlife a bit, but tourist are just going to stop going to Thailand till things get sorted out. I just got back from about 6 weeks in Bangkok last week. Several weeks ago I was looking at airfares for Oct/Nov time frame. Fares were running around $1400. Now I'm looking to buy and many of those same dates are in the low $2000's The fuel surcharges are starting to kick in again as oil stays above $100 a barrel. If this keeps up, Thai tourism will be further hurt.
  11. I feel bad for all the people that work nights. Bangkok is close to being a 24 hour city. I just got back Tuesday, so just missed the curfew. But I figure I spend 90% of my money after 8pm. I hit up the 7-11 across the street from the apartment where I stay almost every night when I come in between 12 and 2am. The place is packed. They have to be taking big hits. I just talked to my boy and he said he has not made a dime all week, as there are just no customers. Fortunately for him, I left him with enough money to get thru a couple months.
  12. I can't answer for the service or massage, but I have been hanging out on Soi Twilight the last couple of nights, and there are several boys that I would have no problem hiring. Lots of boys sitting out front the the massage places, with lots of cuteness.
  13. I have had most of these questions asked of me when returning from Bangkok, until I got Global Entry. I've never been questioned headed over. I am leaving today for Bangkok, but I am going thru Helsinki. In London you get the third degree from security as an American. In Helsinki, I've barely seen security. The US is working with the Thai government on trafficking, so this may be a new crackdown.

    Bangkok trip

MsGuy, I appreciate your kind words. This trip next month will only be 2 weeks, so time will go very quickly after just spending a month. One of these days I will figure out how to post pictures. As the say, a picture is worth a thousand words. So a few pics will mean I won't have to dig for as many words. Oz, this is only the 2nd boy that has asked for serious money from my trips to Thailand. It happened several times in Rio, but not for as much. I've also had a few boys here in the states that have ripped me off. MsGuy got it right, once you say no, there tends not to be anymore issues. I will probably do another trip in Nov or Dec for a couple of weeks, and i am going to try 2 months next Feb/March. Thank goodness for frequent flyer miles.

    Bangkok trip

Firecat, you hit it right on the head. I paid the boy quite well on a daily basis. I'm sure he is quite comfortable financially for the few weeks in between my trips. In fairness to Paragon, I wasn't clear that I paid him for a month of service. There is also the fact that he is getting his meals free for a month, doesn't have to sleep on mattress pad on the floor in an apt with several other boys with no air conditioning. He also doesn't have to stand on stage doing the 2 step shuffle, hoping to get lucky for the month he was with me. The asking for extra money is something most of these boys will do. I got my point across to him very quickly that it wasn't going to happen. He got over it faster than me . Then the last 2 weeks of the trip, we had a great time. He knows I'm on my way back in a few weeks, so the texts keep coming saying "can't wait to see you". Firecat, interesting you say 1 boy in 1000 get the month time period. He is Vietnamese and knows all the Vietnamese boys that work on Soi Twilight. When we would be sitting at the outdoor bars , sometimes his friends would stop by and they would talk for a couple of minutes. Because they talked in Vietnamese, myself and my Thai friends couldn't understand the conversations. One night I asked him what they talk about. He said they are all teasing him about all the money he is making and that he doesn't have to work in the bar. He said they would tease him that when I left, he would have to take them out to eat, and go shopping. He said it was all in fun and he didn't mind.

    Bangkok trip

Well I did feel a little guilty about not posting again. The first couple of weeks I spent time running around the city and hanging with my friends in the evening. The last couple of weeks, I just hung around the apartment a little more. I wasn't alone. My boy was with me most of the time. But I spent more time, sitting by the pool and reading, and when my friend would go to his apartment in the afternoons to get clean clothes and stuff, I would take naps. We just ate a lot of street food so not a lot of restaurants to talk about . Many of you that have been to Thailand (and Brazil to a lesser extent) have run into the situation of becoming friendly with boys and when you get home, receive the email asking for money for sick grandparents or house repairs. I had it in the back of my mind that this would happen as we were getting pretty close. Well after 2 weeks, we came back to the apt one evening and he hit me up for money for his sick mother. Asked for 20,000 baht. (About $600) Unfortunately for him, he found out real quick I don't fall for this. I am a pretty easy mark for sales people, I fall for anything. I have been using escorts for more years than I want to admit, but this is the one time I go stone cold. I have taken boys all over the world over the years, and had great time, but there are a few, no matter how much you give, they want a little more. Long story short, I told him, no, I didn't have any money for him and I had a head ache and he should probably head home. I was really enjoying his company and I hated this situation, so I gave him a 2 day time out. He called and sent texts, but I didn't answer. I finally sent a text to meet him at his work. I mentioned the situation to one of the boys he works with. I think he got the message. The next 2 weeks were about perfect. We had a great time and he started staying overnight all the time. But again because I had my friend, I didn't go to any massage parlors, or other bars or clubs. We did go to Silom 4 a couple of times to eat . Once at the Balcony, and once at Telephone. Not 5 star dining, but good and great people watching. When it was time to leave, he wanted to go to the airport with me. I didn't really want him to. I had to leave at 5:45 in the morning. Figured he would be hard to get up. As soon as I check in, it's thru immigration, no place to hang together. But he insisted and I said ok. I got up at 5 and straight to the shower. Within 1 minute he was up and in there with me. I had mostly packed the night before, but he went thru all the draws, closet, making sure I didn't forget anything. He went and threw away the trash, made the bed. I just sat there thinking he is just the housekeeper I could use at home. Time to head to the airport. I had 2 big suitcases, he took them down and got a taxi while I took care of the keys. 30 minute drive to the airport. He has no problem with public displays of affection. I do. So I found a quiet spot behind a big sign and we said our goodbyes . As I mentioned earlier, I have met many boys over the years and this one is right up there near the top of the list. If he spoke better English, it would be close to a perfect time. My trip home went great. I flew Bkk-Tokyo on Japan Airlines in business. Interesting, we left at 8:15am and they served dinner on the flight. So I had steak for breakfast. I had a 3 hour layover at Narita . Did Nrt-Dfw on American in first class. Good flight crew. Left and arrived right on schedule. Last leg was Dallas to Ft.Lauderdale. Again left on time and arrived 1/2 hour early. Taxi home arriving 11:30 pm. I think I was in bed 2 minutes after I got in. I used to live in San Francisco. I always felt bad for the people that had to fly to the east coast from Asia. Now I'm the one that has to fly that extra 5 hours. I've been back for 2 weeks now. My boy has been sending a few texts. He knows I am coming back next month, so I guess he wants to keep tabs on me. I leave in a week and a half on a cruise from Miami to Barcelona. Then flying up to Helsinki. Then on to Bangkok for another couple of weeks. He has my arrival day coded into his phone, so I half expect to see him waiting for me when I arrive at the apartment. To wrap up this trip I will be flying Bangkok to San Francisco on Cathay Pacific. I'm going to spend a couple days in SF before heading back to Ft.Laudale. This will break the return up and I get in at a more reasonable hour. Reflecting back, being there for a month, I thought I would be doing a lot of fun and interesting things on a daily basis. Well that didn't happen. I had fun, but it was at a much slower pace than I had expected. I hadn't expected to have 1 boy with me for the entire trip. It was very hot (upper 90's) so easier to just hang out at home during the mid afternoon hours. Did read a couple of books , watched more tv than I should have. The Malaysian plane situation was happening and being in the same time zone, with all the int'l cable news stations, there was more coverage than here in the US. If anything exciting happens when I arrive in mid May, I'll try to follow up with some postings. Unfortunately we can't all live the life of Tomcal though we can try.....
  17. I moved to San Francisco in 1980. I was living 1 block off Polk Street. The early 80's it was still going strong. I could probably match you story for story Townsend. I met my first boyfriend on Polk St. We stayed together for 5 years, but are still best friends till this day. I came from a small town and was really amazed that A Polk St. existed. But for all the fun that was to be had, there are a lot of sad stories to be told.
  18. It's happened to me twice. Both times I just said that I would be back later. In both cases nobody seem at all bothered.
  19. Tonight on Soi Twilight in Bangkok, X-Size boys club had a promotion. Drinks 200 and off fee 300. Not a bad deal. Don't know how long it is for.

    Bangkok trip

Sorry I haven't been posting. But my trip has been pretty routine. Not a lot of excitement. But I have a few minutes to share a bit with you. I had thoughts of offing boys and massage palors all over the place when planning this trip, but then my boy from last trip was here and I've been a one boy man. I've only been enjoying his company after sunset. I like my days to hang by the pool or run off to Siam Paragon, MBK Center or Terminal 21 for the lunch food courts. Plus I can also grocery shop. Because my boy speaks very limited English, it's just easier for me to sight see alone. My boy is Vietnamese and yesterday he had to do a Visa Run to Cambodia to get his passport stamped for another 30 days. Hot Male will not allow any illegal boys to work there and the foreign boys have to show their passport every week. I knew he would be tired and hungry when he got back tonight, so I met him at his office(hot male) and we went to Dicks Cafe for dinner. I've been to Dicks a few times this trip and barely a customer, but tonight, barely a seat. Don't know where everyone came from. While sitting there I saw a sign at Xboys . Promotion prices 200 per drink and 300 off fee. Not bad. I understand Bangkok Boys is 400 per drink. When it's quiet, not a lot of people make it to the end of the street, so maybe promo will help. After dinner we came back to the apartment, and he said he wanted to spend the night. He has been up for almost 48 hours so I said ok. I went to take a shower, by the time I came out, the a/c was full blast and he was sound asleep. So here I sit and type. I am a tosser and turner so we will see how long he stays asleep. I have a pull out couch if I get to be to much for him. They drove to Cambodia with no a/c in the car, so I think that is what he really wants. When all the boys start complaining about the heat, you know it is hot. This past week has been mid 90's . I have spent a lot of time on Soi Twilight this trip. Mostly outdoor bars. I saw one show. They are pretty much all the same, just different boys and music. Big cock show, glow in the dark paint show, fucking while upside down on the gym rings show, hot wax show, and the fuck your way through the audience collecting tips show. Sitting outdoors watching everyone walk by, I have seen more hot boys than on any of my previous trips. If I wasn't previously engaged, I would have no problem getting a different boy or 2 every night. Weeknights have been on the quiet side, but the weekends have picked up ok. I've seen it busier, but not to bad. Had a friend of mine from San Francisco stop in Bangkok for a few days while on his way to Puket . We spent last Saturday sightseeing at Wat Po and the Grand Palace area. Very few Western tourist. Almost all Asian. We took the water taxi back. It's always a lot of fun, but was very crowded. I would have felt safer with a few less people. It was a really hot day, and kind of did me in. We went out for dinner at the Smokehouse Restaurant on Surawong . After a couple weeks of rice and vegetables, I really wanted a steak. My friend the same. Bit pricey at $30. But sometime u just gotta do it. I called my boy to meet us. He had a rack of ribs. When he got done, not even a nibble for a dog off those bones. Where do these kids put all that food. They are so small. So stomach full and starting to feel the heat after a long day in the sun, sent the little one on his way and went back to the apt and slept all night and stayed in bed most of Sunday. We're not as young as we used to be. I have one week to go. I told my boy that for Friday I would take him to a Vietnamese Restaurant. I'll have rice, he can have what ever he wants. Then Saturday we are going to the Firehouse Restaurant. I think Oz has been there, but again I am in the mood for Western food. The next few days are going to be on the cheap. Have to start watching the $$. I will be back in Bangkok for a couple weeks again in May on the end of a trip around the world. Then 2 days after I get back to Florida, I am driving to Boston for the month of June. We always say it's nice to get home to our own beds. I'll have been gone from mid Feb to July 4th. I don't even know what my bed looks like. I'm sure I'll come up with something to post about this weekend, but for now, it's time to go cuddle up with the little cutie in my bed.

    Bangkok trip

There hasn't been any postings in this section for a while, so I thought I would give it a shot. I'm starting my 2nd year of retirement and finally have realized I don't have to be home Sunday night to go to work Monday morning. I have been to Thailand several times for 10 days to 2 weeks. I thought I would give a 1 month trip a shot. I found an apt on AIRBNB. Heard good and bad, but this experience has been about perfect. Have a 1 bedroom, fast wi-fi, pool, little gym. I arrived at 1am so stayed in a hotel as I didn't want to go looking for the place and looking for keys at that hour. When I arrived the protests were still happening, so a 10 minute taxi ride here, took 1 hour. The roads are all open now, so just typical heavy Bangkok traffic. I found the Apt easily. The security guard had the key and it was that simple. Location is about 1/2 mile down Suriwong towards the river. I flew from Miami to Chicago on American, then Cathay Pacific to Hong Kong on to Bangkok. All in Business. Great flights. Had the mini Business cabin. It only has 8 seat, and only 3 were taken. Really quiet and great individule service. 30 hours door to door is a long day. I stayed in my first night trying to adjust a little to time change. For some reason hit me hard this trip. Next night I went up to Soi Twilight. I have a couple of friends that work at Hot Male at the outdoor bar, so I hang out there a lot. When I was last in Bangkok, (July) I met a boy that I really liked. He was from Vietnam and I figured would be long gone. Well I show up and as soon as I say hi to my friends, they all said my friend had gone back to Vietnam and just arrived back in Bangkok the same day I arrived and was upstairs working. Well that helped wake me up a bit. I went upstairs and looked around and didn't see him. Went to take a seat, and before I could park my butt, he was right there. I don't understand how these boys remember everything about every person they have met for years. I don't remember dinner yesterday. I didn't off him that night. At 350 baht a drink, we each had one and then I was out of there. The jet lag was still getting to me and sex wasn't high on my list. Drinks at outdoor bar were 150. He has been with me the rest of the week though. I have lived alone for a lot of years, so I don't need him with me 24 hours a day. So we meet up each evening for dinner, drinks and back to apt for a bit of fun. He really hits all my buttons so fun times for me, though probably kind of boring for a lot of you. Not into topping or bottoming anymore, but living alone the thing I miss the most is affection. This boy is amazing in that department. He is all over the place and I know so many of you like kissing...he loves it. He rams his tounge down my throat so much I am usually asking for a time out. Usually when I get here it's off to the massage places for a little fun, but with my boy, I haven't needed to. Next week I'm going to give him a night or 2 off so I can have a little taste of what else may be lurking out there. He also has promised me a 3 way with a friend of his that is arriving from Vietnam next week. When his friend arrives, that will give me an excuse to go off on my own. Weather has been great. 90 each day and 80 each night. Low humidity has been a big plus with a good breeze. Now that I have lived in Ft.Lauderdale for about 2 years, the weather has been much less an issue for me here. Probably the biggest problem I have with my boy is the A/C. He likes it set about 80 and I like it about 70. We comprise, but I'm still to hot when playing around. For those of you that have been here know what a bustling city this is. Right now it's as quiet as I have ever seen it. So many empty taxis and tuk tuks. Drivers are all saying, people are coming to thailand, but not coming to Bangkok. My flight Hong Kong to Bangkok only had 11 people in Business. This is the only trip I have seen empty seats. I had fast trak for emigration . 1 window open, and I was the only person there. It was 1 am, but airport did seem quite. All the intersections are open now and the protesters are staying in Lumpini Park. So safety not really an issue now. An other sign, every time I have been on SkyTrain , I have gotten a seat. Well my date for the evening has just shown up so it's off to Scozzi for dinner. I asked him if he eats only Thai or does he like some western food. He says he likes food any and all. Makes life so much easier. I'm not the best writer and pretty much seeing only one boy, doesn't leave a lot to write about. But I will see what I can come up with. Till then
  22. The first time I met TotallyOz was in Rio during Carnival. While your right lots of boys in town to work, but he took most of them to sit in his box at the Sambadrom.

    Bangkok Shutdown

I just came in from MBK and Silom. No changes there yet. No traffic allowed. Hopefully it changes with Monday rush hour.
  24. The people that fly in First and Business on high fares don't tend to use their miles that often. They buy high, they don't need free tickets or upgrades. I fly 30-40 times a year on lower fares, and now I'm being told that my business, isn't really important to them. I just arrived in Bangkok yesterday. I fly from Miami-Bangkok. Closed to 30 hours of travel. Coach...it isn't going to happen for me.
  25. Thailand is the answer, but you do need at least 10 days. I am leaving for Bangkok next Monday for a month. It cost me about the same as 10 days in Rio.
