  1. Another aspect is the club where he was partying. They have gone off the radar today. Padlock doors, no employes have shown up. They have already had their phone lines disconnected. These are big clubs that cater to the stars and now they stand a good chance of loosing their license. Over the last few months, there have been some high profile DUI cases resulting in death in Miami Beach, so this will get a lot a attention as they have been really cracking down on this stuff.
  2. He is being transported to Miami county jail right now. All the Miami tv stations are showing the procession by helicopter live. He is being charged with, no license, resisting arrest, he was high on pot and beer. Open containers in car. Doing 65 in 30 residential street. I wonder how he is enjoying his tour of Miami from the back of a police van.

    Looking on HBO

I couldn't get into it. Found it quite boring.
  4. I admit I like the seasons. But I knew going into retirement, San Francisco was going to be way to expensive. I'm from Boston originally and get back there monthly. Was only 10 degrees when I got off the plane for Thanksgiving. In a couple of weeks I'll be in Anchorage and Fairbanks. Have to believe I will get my cold weather quota then. Last night I was at Swinging Richards and talked to quite a few customers from up north they were loving the warmth. And as I get ready to watch San Francisco play at Green Bay today, have to admit it was nice having coffee and reading the Sunday paper outdoors. Summer can be tough, but I'm lucky enough to travel quite a bit and spend half the time away from So.Fla. (First cold wave of season arriving Tue. 60 for a high).
  5. I just retired to Ft.Lauderdale from San Francisco last year. The cost of living in Miami is nothing compared to SF. But my two biggest surprises when moving here were the crime rate and car insurance rates. Way to many home invasion robberies here. Car insurance rates doubled here. I was paying $900 a year in SF, now paying $1500. a year. But while I am watching the cold and snow around the country this morning, I am sitting in the sun on my balcony and it's 80 degrees.
  6. He said on the GayThailand site yesterday, that he has the flu and will be offline for a few days.

    BO today

I hope they get things organized soon. (Doubtful) I received my cancellation notice last week. First time in 40 years I have been uninsured.
  8. The high fees are mostly on British. Because of this, everybody is trying to go on American, so their awards are increasingly more difficult to use. Your on the west coast so even more difficult. If you really want to go, you need to be creative. Iberia to Madrid , connect to Lhr. AirBerlin. Finnair thru Helsinki. Long way around, but available.
  9. When talking SE Asia, I think everybody sees the airfare and stops. When you start figuring out how much hotels, food, boys cost, you realize it's not nearly as expensive as you thought it would be. You talk $50.00 for lap dance in Montreal or Fla. Well that same 50 will get you an overnight in Bangkok. Lucky your right about March being hot. But I retired to Ft.Lauderdale a year ago, and I'm getting used to the heat and humidity. I have been to Bangkok 3 times this year and the weather hasn't bothered me as much as in the past. March is the only time I can get a long period of away. I'm staying for 30 days and have rented a condo. Firecat is right, it's a very easy place to go alone. I tend to be on the shy side. But the boys are easier to meet than anywhere I've been before. They have great memories also. You meet them this year and they remember you next year
  10. Your off to a great start. Enjoy your trip. I just finished booking my next Thailand trip, but it's not till March.
  11. I get First Class on Cathay for 130k miles. Miami/Bkk
  12. Lucky, I hope you get to try the Courtyard in Bangkok some time. It's the best Courtyard in the system.
  13. I used Mr.Toom for the first time in January, Pattaya-Bangkok. I was very impressed. As you said, 2 hours, no issues finding hotel, and a friendly driver.
  14. My hotel (Courtyard) had Pizza & Pasta buffet tonight. All you can eat for 650. Includes salads and soft drinks.
  15. And after I left with my boy, there was nobody left. Taxi back to hotel, barely a car on the road. I have never seen Bangkok so quiet.
  16. I'm at LAX now waiting to board my flight to Nrt and on to Bkk . I'll try to pick up the search where you left off.
  17. I got the 1900 baht deal. They had a 72 hour flash sale this past weekend. But it must have gone over well, because it disappeared after 48 hours. I have stayed here twice this year and have been upgraded, so hoping it will happen with this rate when I arrive this week.
  18. I'm glad you are enjoying the hotel. I have stayed there twice already this year, and will be checking in again Wednesday night. I had always stayed at the Tartawan, but the Courtyard is cheaper and offers so much more.
  19. Will you be going to Hero for physical therapy on your legs?
  20. I also booked for 2800. If you have Marriott status, it gets better. Both times I stay, they upgraded me to Executive room, with free wi-fi and free breakfast buffet. I have been staying at the Tarntawan for the last few years, but the Courtyard is light years ahead, and the rates are the same.
  21. I've stayed at the Courtyard my last 2 trips to Bangkok. I will be staying there again on my next trip in July. It is heads above any Courtyard in the US. Great location, easy transportation options, and never had any problem bringing boys back.
  22. Now that I live here, I'm not to familiar with the hotels, but I have heard mostly good about the Marriott Harbor Beach.
  23. Key Biscayne is quieter than South Beach. Biggest problem right now, they are doing some heavy duty road work that has made a big mess out of traffic.
  24. I am in Bangkok and looking to find who's hot and who's not. Besides the 100 degree weather. I am the guy that sits in the clubs and sees a few boys I like, but end up loosing them all to others, while I try to make up my mind. Then go home alone. Tonight I went into Hot Male and as soon as I stepped inside, there was a boy I just totally fell for. But I had a commitment for a while and figured he would be gone before I got back. All that was going thru my head was Oz saying "you like him, don't wait, off him. I went to mamasan and said I wanted to come back in an hour and take him. She said , put down 100 baht deposit and she would save him for me and she did. Very happy ending. Boy was from Vietnam Nam and was as hot and playful as I have ever been with, in my 8 trips to Thailand. Better yet, he spoke enough English that we could carry on a conversation. TotallyOz, just wanted to let you know sometimes your advice is right on..thanks. Now it's off to the ATM , I have 4 nights left before I head home. Lucky him
  25. I'm in Bangkok now. Now that its slow season, there are more boys than you can possibly handle. It's about 100 degrees out, so if you like sweaty sex, you can't beat this place.
