Chiang Mai Hotel Recommendation

Recommended Posts

During my upcoming trip to Chiang Mai I would like to stay in the area close to the Adams A. club.  I AM NOT INTERESTED in staying in another area.

The Lotus Hotel is perfectly located across from the Adams A. club, but the hotel does not have good reviews on various gay/non-gay travel sites. Therefore I would prefer to stay at another hotel.

Does anyone have any suggestions or recommendations on other hotels in the area near the Adams A. club?

Again, I am interested in hotels ONLY in the area near the Adams A. club.  I have absolutely no desire whatsoever to stay in a hotel located very far, 3 kilometers or more, from the club.

I stayed at Now Chiang Mai Mini Hotel - it's a guesthouse - 8 rooms with a communal kitchen - I had the triple room which was very comfortable - it's a 10-15 minute to Adams Apple and less to New My Way Bar - I had no issues taking a guest back primarily because it was self entry with key after midnight - no lift - a few small eating places near by - one that specialises in duck was very nice - listed on Trip Advisor for reviews

Sorry no recommendations  but to comment that I always had the impression that the Lotus is a guest house owned by Adam's Apple.

I stayed a few years ago and was not impressed with the cheaper rooms but the topmost rooms looked very nice even though it was a trek up the stairs after a few beers.

NOT to be confused with another large LOTUS hotel some distance away -- not recommended.

The Mercure is good or for a bit of luxe, the secret 5 star hotel in CM on Wotif.com is the Chiang Mai Meridien, near the night market.

enjoy this wonderful city.
