TotallyOz
My taxi got lost yesterday and instead of staying in the car with him, we got out and just walked into a restaurant to eat. I am so glad we did as we all really enjoyed the restaurant. We especially loved the chess platter. We had both the pizza and the spaghetti and both were excellent. The service was very good and they had a great selection of wine. steveboy
Did they play some music from Verdi and Puccini? TotallyOz
TotallyOz
No music that I recall. But, there may have been some in the background.
firecat69
Always suspicious of a restaurant that does not have prices on its menu which kind of goes along with the fact that you did not mention prices? HeHe Although from Trip Advisor reviews price did not seem to be mentioned. TotallyOz
TotallyOz
The prices were on the menu in the restaurant. They were not cheap. But, not horrible. I think Spaghetti was around 260 baht and the chess platter was around 900 baht.

TotallyOz
Being dyslexic, I often can't spell very well. LOL Yes, it was cheese. But, tonight I went to a place called Chess. It was at Asiatique. Yum!
firecat69
Have to stop drinking those Starbucks. I believe the name is CheckMate with very mixed reviews on Trip Advisor. Not surprising since you still are the only person I know that took me to a restaurant where they never bring the food. TotallyOz
FC, I enjoyed the food. There was good music by a live singer and band. I was with a group of 10 others and we all enjoyed our food and 1/2 off beer during happy hour.
