as i prepare for my second brazilian trip i adore some escort pictures in the postings. particularly tomcal's was providing very interesting private pictures from porto alegre recently.

i do not intend to run around sauna in rio with camera, because i didn't see anyone to do it. but what is the general policy of the boys... do they agree to have pictures taken in the privacy of the room or not? do they want money extra for that?

and last one, how safe are the lockers in sauna. can you leave camera and cellphone in locker or you should carry a small bag with valuables with you all the time...? what do you think ?

All the photos/videos I have taken the last few years are with my Iphone and i have that with me when I am in the saunas. as far as the safety of your belongings, All of the saunas now have cameras mounted in the locker areas to so they are more secure then in previous years, I have never had a problem, but I also always tip the towel boys to watch my stuff and have had them watch luggage and laptop when I am on the way to the airport on my last day and never had a problem. Saying that, the lockers are neither very sturdy nor hard to break in to if someone wanted to, but again the towel boys are in attendance and there is now surveilance cameras. I have never had anything stolen but I only carry as much money as I think I will need for the evening and one credit card and they are in my pocket. It goes without saying that expensive watches//rings should be left at home..not at the hotel but at HOME in the U.S. I have seen guys carry in a small drawstring bag with them with their phone/wallet/lube etc so if u feel more comfortable doing that it is not a big deal.

I have taken photos of almost every guy I have been with in the saunas, maybe 3 or 4 over the years refused to allow a photo to be taken!(We are talking hundreds of guys! lol)The interesting thing is I never ask for them to be naked, but usually take the photos after our session and more often then not they will whip off their towel and pose. I have never offered them money for that(and wouldn't). The last couple of trips I take videos of them as well as photos, I can't post the videos on here because the software doesn't allow me to, but have sent them to OZ and he can vouch that the boys really get in to it! A fair number of sauna boys have been photographed by latinjocks.com who have a former sauna boy as their recruiter so posing nude is not a big deal for most of them.

Have a great time! I will be down there the first two weeks in November.

One thing which Tomcal failed to mention--most of the patrons at the sauna disrobe and are wearing just the provided towel, while a few (Tomcal included) remain in street clothes. If you do remain in street clothes, it makes it much easier to have your cameraphone with you.

I have just never felt safe leaving my wallet and phone (camera) in a locker. I know that is stupid and probably a bit looney but I don't even like it in the USA. The lockers in Brazil are locked with keys they give you. It is just something I prefer to keep with me. Lurker and Tomcal gave great advice on everything. While, like you I have been leery to take photos inside the room, but my last trip with Tomcal gave me the courage to do so and not one boy said no and I always give the money before I ask them for the photo and just ask if it is OK. They all said OK.

You wrote with respect to leaving your wallet and phone (camera) in a locker. "I know that is stupid and probably a bit looney but I don't even like it in the USA."

To the contrary, it is not a stupid thing nor is it looney. As some may recall, I have traveled to Brazil more than one hundred times and I travel there many times each year, almost every month. In Rio, I never had my locker violated.

However, in Sao Paulo, it happened many times; twice at Lagoa, twice at Alterosas, three times at Fragata, twice at Boys Club, once at Bon Vivon and once at Paradise. The last few violations did not yield much for the thief because I learned, early on, that lockers are not safe from thieves.

My first and worst experience was after a locker violation at Lagoa.

Although there are cameras in Lagoa and some of saunas, what good are cameras? What does a camera prove at a sauna? If you return to your locker and find that your money and other valuables are missing, how can you fix blame? If the violator was a client of the sauna, with a pass key to those flimsy locks given to us upon entry, how can you prove the client took your valuable? What if the client has already left the sauna?

The first time a locker violation happened to me was at Lagoa. After I complained about my missing money & valuables, the front desk person called for Edgarde (one of the co-owners) who acted like a nut while shouting and demanding that I not tell anyone outside of Lagoa about the theft or not write anything on the internet about the locker theft because it might discourage customers from visiting Lagoa or cause customers to visit other saunas instead of Lagoa.

Fortunately, even though the thief got most of my money that first time at Lagoa, I was with a Brazilian friend who paid my bill which I reimbursed the next day. By the way, even though Edgarde knew that my locker had been violated at his facilities, he still insisted on my paying the entrance fee. Needless to say, Lagoa is not my favorite place to go while in Sao Paulo despite Lagoa being the best sauna for garotos, at the present time.

As was stated previously, it is better to visit the sauna with no more than you think you will need and have a standby credit card to pay for contingencies in the event your locker is violated.

As to taking photos of garotos, I have not done that at saunas.

As TomCal mentioned-- take only the amount of money that you think you'll need, no valuables, tip the towel guy $R5 or more, depending on the services he'd rendered,... I haven't taken photos, but my good friend has. ...no problem has occurred.
