BiBottomBoy
They were supposed to open up movie theaters tomorrow. Now that's been put off until January 20th. I really wanted to see Free Guy
TotallyOz
I have been going to movies in Thailand for a few months. It is nice. Still very quiet and 1/2 the seat not available. But, it is nice to see a movie.
BiBottomBoy
Last movie I saw in the theater was Birds Of Prey - one week before the theaters were shut down.
Members JKane
Me too, but shit's gotten real serious in LA/California this month, so even if I could, I wouldn't be doing anything. Lucky
BiBottomBoy
here they've installed a new HVAC system in the movie theater. It's supposed to be safer covid wise than going to the grocery store and back.
Members Deadlift
You can watch any movie u want by renting out one of the theaters here. You are limited to 25 people and it costs about $125 to $150. Everything in concession stand is 1/2 price. You can even rent older titles or your own copy of a favorite. Seats recline and are heated. It is a new chain that opened here about 6 months before pandemic hit. Tonight was Elf!

Members BigK
I've always been an avid movie goer. Oddly I haven't missed seeing movies in the Theater. Probably because owning an essential business I've been so busy working. Had a mild case of Covid-19 a couple of months ago. Recently been especially busy with multiple employees out with Covid. Members RockHardNYC
I probably see too many movies. Always have. But I no longer enjoy viewing most of them in an actual theater. It's not that I don't enjoy a large screen experience. I do. But I don't enjoy large crowds. I don't enjoy strangers sitting directly next to me. I don't enjoy obnoxious people who talk loud and check their Instagrams every ten minutes. I don't enjoy the ear-blasting sound. I don't enjoy bad previews for too often very bad movies. I absolutely HATE commercials on a theater screen. I can't remember the last time I ate concession food at a theater. Not going to happen. I prefer the comfort of my own home theater. I support the industry move to home/theater release at the same time. I think it would be great for business. For movies that I enjoy, I watch them again with subtitles to take in all the words. BiBottomBoy
RockHard, I go to the wednesday matinee or the early sunday show and generally there's about 15 other people in the theater with me so noise and other people aren't a problem.
