Winner Boys set to Re-Open 1^st June

(Thai English of course haha)

Great news, for those of you in Thailand anyway, Winner Boys in Sunee Plaza will re-open inside this coming week on 1^st June from 7pm till midnight. What’s more we are promised twinks in small pants dancing on stage again (no jeans).

Technically Winner Boys has never completely closed, although that was certainly threatened in the depths of Covid regulations. But it has been well over a year since it was open inside with boys dancing on stage in their underwear.

Latterly it has only been open outside at small tables set out into the plaza. Many boys had gone home and only a handful were there on a daily basis, some actually sleeping inside the bar at nights as they had no money for a room.

Great lads though and some fun nights outside there in recent holidays (I was last there in April), but its not the same as near naked boys in underwear (sometimes micro underwear).

Hopefully some of you in Pattaya can make your way to this bar in the next few days and encourage more of the boys to return; just wish I was there to enjoy it with you!

Great news, one of my favorite bars finally allowed to go back to the gogo setting. I can't wait to go back

Pre-covid, there was just 3 gogo bars that were good for cute twinks:   Winner Boys, Toy Boys and Cupidol.  

It's very good to see Winner Boys reopening & no surprise at all, as the bar owner has been waiting patiently to legally reopen for months.

Cupidol is believed to have closed permanently & the sign went long ago.

So we now just need to see if anything happens at Toy Boys.    Hopefully any tourists in Pattaya will keep an eye out for any signs of action, like them cleaning the premises up during the afternoon.

accoording to the Mamasan M, is Cupidol now an open bar.

Sorry we are going off topic but Toy Boys also reportedly opened again today.

No pictures yet, but I am reliably informed that today's re-opening of Winner Boys was a great success.

Between fifteen and sixteen boys in the bar, and dancing in underwear!

Quite a few 'offs' reported and most boys saying they got 5 or 6 drinks each. 

So a steady flow of customers.

Lets hope that this is only the start of the bar's recovery.

Sounds good - quite a few offs, 5 or 6 drinks, steady customer flow.  The news should find its way to Isaan and maybe Cambodia to boys looking for better employment than the rice fields.

 

I was in Winner Boy Bar yesterday, quite early, around 8.30 pm. There were about a dozen boys in underwear and 3 other customers (6 at the time I left). There was one boy, who came to work and stripped down to his undies just to pull up again to go with a customer. It happened that fast

Soft drinks 89B, boy drinks 150B (boys get 50B per drink). You can buy a bucket of ping-pong balls, 20B apiece, and throw them at the boys  Boys get 10B for each ball they get hold of (just to be clear: I'm still talking about the ping-pong balls). 

When I left, there was an elderly farang (the bar owner?) at the door who thanked me for coming.

So far, I never offed any boys from the bar, but like its laid-back atmosphere and also the boy playing-around. Will definitely come back.

Sunee still looked pretty dead even on Sat night. Aside from Winner Boy, there was only one other bar (Euro boys$) open with no customers

I forgot to mention it as it was in a different soi. I did pass by Nice boys and Mamasan said they had full cast that night. Didn't take a look though as rough trade wasn't really my type.

Speaking of bars opening, Google no longer shows Cupidol being permanently closed. Is Cupidol open and operating as a gogo again?

Last time I checked (last Saturday), it was still closed.

Bars like these desperately need professional or semi-professional pictures to promote themselves. The girlie bars fill their FaceBooks with enticing pictures that are regularly updated. Why are boy bars so reticent?

Agreed. It could be a good opportunity for any photographer expats out there, even if it is for a small fee or free it could be a fun side project if you have a decent camera and some skills.

I take my X-T30 and a lens or two with me when I travel, maybe I'll offer Paul a free shoot with my very-novice photography skills when I return (if he wants it).

12is12....no, not in my estimation.  Some are, some aren't  and some are what I call (using an old English word) "fey". in the Good Old Days, there were plenty of twink bars in Pattaya where the guys were very cute, under twenty-three or so,  gay and straight-acting. In fact it was they who brought me to Thailand in 1995. And kept me returning. 

 

I don't see effeminate guys in Winner Boys.       That's exactly how people are supposed to look if they don't over eat and don't spend too much time in the gym.  

This is one of the best gogo bars in Thailand.    The only other possible contenders for "Best Gogo Bar for Twinks" are likely to be Toy Boys and Fresh Boys, if they return to pre-covid form.

Yet another relaunch of Winner Boys 1st November which I hope will prove a more enduring success. In September the bar was ready inside but the few boys stilling outside again - very disappointing. Usual 'chicken/egg' problem. No boys so no customers: no customers so no boys.

January before I am back again. I just hope that this time it will work better as I believe some boys will be on salaries/retainers this time?

I went to Winner Boys on Friday - no one sitting outside only 2 staff inside - not a boy in sight - was told "not open inside only outside " no boys come"" Then went on to Nice Boys - that was an experience to forget for me- but i suppose it depends on what lights your fire. My travelling companion was sadly disappointed in that precint as he been a visitor years previously

Could not say definitively but I get the impression that some bars open every day with the hope that tonight might be a good night. Re Nice Boys there were 5 boys - only one created some interest with me - he sat beside me but we were under the constant scrutiny of an aged mamasan and 2 of the other boys which was somewhat uncomfortable for me

I hope the experts will correct me:

Since one venue is closed and the other has only 5 boys, doesnt that mean that the area simply isnt worth a visit?
