  1. You are right, but partially: there is no democracy in Russia. But Putin is still supported about 3/4 of Russians since he gave them better economical life.
  2. I suppose what drink price/ticket system is linked with licenses. May be for to sell tickets they have to have some more licenses and regulations - like fire-safety and other things which they can avoid just while they are bars. Also it can be connected with taxation and or with money laundering - may be tickets must be numbered and can be controlled but nobody can count q-ty of drinks...
  3. As per me - Om Yim is good choice: very close to BTS, friendly staff and owners.
  4. Right article, wrong topic header. Rouble exchange rate and oil price - the only reason of declining flow of Russians to Thailand. 1.Thailand becomes too expensive (2 times) for blue collars, so they again take tours to Egypt and Turkey instead of Thailand. 2. Price of renting apts in Moscow (and other big cities) drops down 30% in roubles (that means in USD almost 3 times): half of property market is empty now cuz labor migrants went to homelands - salaries in roubles are still the same in Russia, but in migrants home currencies salaries became 2 times less.In past about 200 000 of Russians had residence in Thailand while left own apts in Russia to rent to migrants. Now they haven't money from rent, so lend-lords flow back to Russia. And almost nobody cares about Putin here, but many ppl start new day from checking oil price.

James, your proposal about "unanonimity" are a little bit naive: not every board member is living in country where you can easy be member of gay-board without problems. Personal information must be hidden here just by reason of our security.

Then I resume: 1. Article is quite provocative, but it is good for buzz Good job 2. This is sample how staff never should answer to readers for to keep good public impressions about magazine: As per me: I hope you will resolve this small incident. I like your magazine, but don't like personal attacks esp. when they are going from official representatives. Too bad for public relation and looks unprofessional.

WOW and WTF WOW! Good try. "They can talk good things, they can talk bad things, but they MUST talk about us". Congrats OIT! You got your point Great provocation Good marketing. You got our attention. WTF??? Personal attack to board members? James you probably should pay a little bit more attention to trainings of your staff. "Keep calm and answer". That's not personal replies, that's replies on behalf of the OIT. Board ethic, rules. Nobody cares? WTF?
  13. As per my experience responses mainly links to age, size and own behaviors than to tips , but I also prefer to pay fair tips.
  14. Thank you vinapu for your reports! Yes, Ef (Jirapat) is very skilled masseur and I order his service every time when I'm in Thailand. First time - right after arriving and then every second day. Here thai massage cost $100 per hour, so I use chance to get therapy from Ef as often as I can It brings me health and saves money.
  15. 8.5-9 hours non-stop, 12-14 hours with 1 stop in Novosibirsk (third biggest Russian city, located in the middle of Siberia), usually B777, B767, sometimes B747
  16. Just to clear situation with Russians: here in Moscow round trip tickets to Bangkok cost now $280 on charter flight and $470 on regular flight (2013: $580 and $780), 56 flights per week to Bangkok and 24 flights to Phuket are in timetable, so don't expect dramatically less Russians in Pattaya this winter.
  17. WOW. He is back to Pattaya from Laos I know him over 3 years. He is funny and good companion. He cames every high season, and works at family cofee farm / cofee shop near Luang Parabang during low season.
  18. There are no historical places in PT, there is no sea and beach in BKK, price for "off" are higher in BKK.
  19. One more my personal raiting best cofe on the beach - Bondi best home made breakfast - Tui's most comfortable jaquzzi on balcony with rainforest shower - Room's Club most glamour lobby/waiting area - Room's Club best evening time at bar - Bondi best price/quality ratio - Tui's, BB House, DD Inn most cruising place - first row of seats at DD Inn lobby (cuz of triple flow of boys - from/to beach + boys of DD Inn + boys of Bamboo bar) best local food - Moo Place (next door to DD Inn) - they serve by food whole Dontang most welcoming owner - Tui's and DD Inn best local position for beach-lovers - Tui's and Room's Club best working wi-fi DD Inn, Room's Club and Tui's best place for socialising, talk with local expats - Bondi
  20. I did about 4 times. In general it is good enough. There are 4 gay guesthouses|hotels on the beach: Rooms Club **** Tui's Place *** Bondi ** DD Inn * *- **** means very close to quality rate of european hotel's stars, prices reflect quality also just don't take room with garden view at first floor - it is too much outdated... also I suggest you to take a look to BBHouse - half way btw Bondi and Rooms Club, watch light blue oval sign with letters BB House, you can check at google-map 12.899644, 100.865917 Bbhouse as good as Tui's, no problem for gays and overnight guests, but rooms cost half less
  21. They are in business. 100%. If somebody wants short time room in DD Inn - ask for "massage room" at reception then. I'm sure in my info since I'm webmaster of http://ddinn.wordpress.com/ and the second one site: http://pattaya-gay-hotel.blogspot.com/ Just yesterday got e-mail from owner of DD Inn.
  22. Om Yim! Perfect location, good quality, low price, excellent service. Yet budget but already cozy And very gay 4 floors without elevator may be problem for 50+, but for 20+ it is "about nothing".
  23. Egypt isn't right country for gays now...
  24. This rule has been implemented in Russia about 2 months already. The strict condition for marriage in consulate in Moscow is: both have to be UK nationals at time of marriage. SO: first UK nationality and only then marriage is possible. May be there is some differences in conditions in other countries, but here is as I wrote above.
  25. Today was rainy day at Phuket
