How did you get/stay hard? Something similar happened in BKK in a Saphan Kwai shop..... I didn't initially plan to make a public post about this, but given the amount of gossip, rumors, and direct messages I've been receiving, I feel it’s time to set the record straight regarding my departure from the venues in Silom Soi 4. During the pandemic, while working in Thailand and running a back-office operation for my Australian software company, I stepped in to financially back some Thai friends. The goal was to help them take over two iconic locations that were at risk of closing. My intention was simple: provide the capital for them to run their own business downstairs, while I ran my separate software company upstairs. I want to make one thing absolutely clear: I was strictly an investor and a shareholder. I was never the owner, director, or manager of these businesses. I had no control over the bank accounts, the accounting, or the hiring and firing of staff. My industry is software, not hospitality, and I made that boundary clear from day one. While I provided the funding and tried to offer business guidance, the daily operations were entirely up to the Thai management. Unfortunately, internal infighting, severe accounting issues, and management disputes eventually made the situation unmanageable. When key managers resigned, the remaining staff were ill-equipped to run the business or get the finances in order for a potential sale. Despite my best efforts to help them resolve these issues, my advice was repeatedly ignored. It became impossible to encourage the management to simply show up on time and take their own business seriously. I realized I was stuck trying to fix a conflict that was not of my doing. Beyond the internal politics, the reality of the area is also changing. Much like the old Soi Twilight, it is highly likely that Soi 4 will face closure or major redevelopment soon. Operating businesses on strict, year-to-year leases with zero long-term security makes it a highly unstable environment. You never know if you will even have a lease the following year. To answer the question people keep asking me—"Did you sell and how much did you make?"—the answer is no. They were not my businesses to sell. I wasn't a director, I had no right to control the final decisions, and my advice was no longer being heard. I made the conscious decision to remove myself from an unmanageable situation. Unfortunately, I lost my entire investment in the process and received nothing back. While I take pride in the financial support and mentorship I offered to help save those locations during a difficult time, that chapter is now completely finished and I have moved on with my life.

For me, taste is the first indication, because I almost always drink Bacardi and know its usual flavor very well. Sometimes warm Coke Zero or ice made from tap water throws the drink off, so I go through a process of elimination before blaming the rum....a very scientific process 🧐 Also, adulterated doesn’t necessarily mean contaminated with methanol. It can simply mean watered down, or a cheaper shit spirit substituted for the brand you ordered. Ethanol is the normal drinking alcohol; methanol is something different 🍹 With the Bacardi bottles I reported, dilution was my suspicion because both the flavor and the usual burn seemed noticeably weaker. That wasn’t proof, which is why I contacted Bacardi and wanted them tested. Taste can alert you that something is different, but it can’t reliably tell you what’s in the bottle..... 🤷‍♂️

He initially suggested old stock and storage in hot conditions explained the difference. In the end, he more or less acknowledged that I might be onto something and said they’d investigate further. That wasn’t proof of counterfeiting, but watching the mamasan break a seal isn’t a laboratory test either 😆 Counterfeit alcohol is big business.,,, drug cartels & smugglers force their way into places to make businesses buy from them by "Making an offer they can't refuse" 🦾 In Brazil, I’d previously had concerns about drinks in discos, bars and saunas, but over the past year or two, even liquor-store purchases have raised suspicions. I’m more comfortable buying from the larger grocery chains. I’m sure genuine bottles are sold in Thailand. I’m just not convinced they’re reaching many of the regular places we go to. As for DJ Station, judging by what I’ve been served, they might as well put “imitation” on the drinks menu. I wish I liked beer. Too much work and too little return to fake that 🍻 When someone (Me) with a Bacardi logo tattoo switches to the less popular Captain Morgan because it actually tastes like the real thing, that should tell you something. 😂 Same thing "real" straight guys or "strictly tops" are like when I try explaining why I like to get fucked, they can't imagine a cock in their ass and don't see the pleasure in it 🤷‍♂️
