  1. stop talking about me please
  2. it reminds me what I heard from one teacher when there " we are not only comparing ourselves to USA , we also look at Haiti, both neighbors next door " One of my closest friend broke his leg while cycling in western province Pinar del Rio in spring 2019 and was taken to some provincial hospital there. He was charged for care , cast was very basic but to this day he marvels how good job they did. to this day he says jokingly . ' if you have to break your leg, only in Cuba"
  3. your observation are the same like mine. I'd add country is also very affordable for travelers. And those concerned with not being able to drink while there please lake consolation in fact that on my first evening , in Shiraz, I was offered moonshine quite a few times despite crowds on the main drag.
  4. I'd rather say 'devotion"
  5. I have better news. Once in Raya I left freshly exchanged quite a few thousand on the table in wide opened backpack, it was like almost in pure view. I did not realize that until morning when it was time to pay and yes , money was still there. Only difference was that it was not my first ( neither last time ) with that guy. quite often when I'm entertained by well rehearsed guy I may have money ready and point to him - "this is yours" before we even start sinning. Universally they collect it always after the session.
  6. I did not even know that's possible, thank you for opening me to new ideas
  7. never felt threatened or unsafe in Thailand although I took street trade only once and it went smoothly. Two times had unpleasant situation when guy demanded more than we agreed ( I almost always discuss compensation up front ) , one guy gave up and left unhappy, other one refused to leave until I pay so I did in order not to create a scene. Late night/ early morning stroll through empty Silom and Patpong is actually one of my small pleasures in life. In room I don't tempt fate so keep money in the safe but nothing paranoid, whatever is in my pockets , stays there and was never lifted up. I have system of assigning fixed amount to each pocket so it's easy for me to check. Possibly had once 500 baht stolen in crowded BTS but even that I'm not sure as it's possibility that I dropped banknote when pulling money to buy a ticket .
  8. they must be genetically modified by eating Vegemite
  9. No harm done if true
  10. good to see you guys have fun !
  11. at least your feet are firm on the ground ! +1
  12. and so did Somosas , Truillos and others "SOB but our SOB" in memorable quote which somehow did not trigger any sanctions , quite opposite.
  13. we don't need any wars here. If one is not interested in topic is very easy to avoid reading it , not to mention to refrain from responding to it
  14. I watched Thai BL series
  15. I heard that story in My Lai of all places but not sure they mentioned name, now we know, thank you.
  16. Reminds me situation when one very kissy boy I offed few times in row all of the sudden refused to kiss. When surprised I asked him if my mouth smells he said no, but " you just kissed my hole " was the answer , lesson learned.
  17. both Indian and Russian insurance companies will be thrilled to hear that
  18. not disputing anything we should remember that only 3 guys, friends at that , were interviewed, enough statistic sample to formulate hypothesis not not enough to built theory. quite a few times I heard from my guys that they don't like customers from this or that Asian nation, some times they even explained why. Combing for listings on Grindr, one often will see statements like 'Asians prefered " but also ' white guys prefered", never saw note "yen or yuan prefered' neither " dollars nor euro not accepted"
  19. neither do I but does it mean we should praise America for My Lai too ?
  20. thay may not mind buy those shirtless guardians may dent your treasury
  21. one can eat breakfast at any time , it's simply first meal of the day. Due to jet lags my earliest in BKK was around 4 am and the latest about 2 pm
  22. yes, when you are done with him , send him my way
  23. Perhaps you had your breakfast too early and you weren't hungry enough ? On more serious note somebody recently was praising buffet breakfast in Quarter Silom, it's available to non-residents of hotel. I recall having very lavish and costly breakfast in place on on Suriwong across the street from mouth of Patpong, don't recall name of the place. And of course for hungry people there's World Heritage multistar Foodland Patpong opened 8 days a week , 25 hours a day with their 65 baht option between 5.30 and 9 , raising exponentially to 81 after that, but I have feeling their offer may not sophisticated enough for some.
  24. Perhaps because we less familiar with an option and not brave enough to try ? We may also wonder if it will be possible to walk from bar to hotel at 2 am undisturbed ? But who knows? may be one day?
