  1. Soi Ngam Duphli is not some backwater - it's the street where famous Malaysia Hotel is. Magic Hands down from hotel is unheralded but still very popular massage place , Babylon and City Court massages (Sanctuary by A, Sawasdee, Candle Spa) are walk distance from there and before Khao San area was original backpackers central in Bangkok
  2. relax , still tons of places to have fun in Thailand
  3. and it's not always boy or girl who is at fault, it's not coincidence that some massage places are collecting fee and minimum tip up front or some customers , not necessarily farang are sitting in the bar completely ignored
  4. almost enough for me, LOL
  5. spot on. I had few cases when I start wondering whose agenda I'm realizing on MY vacations, boy's or mine as boy was moving too fast to latch himself to me permanently , at last for length of my stay. And all forums have stories of broken-hearted farangs complaining about their boys infidelities forgetting that giving boy that gold chain or motorcycle doesn't mean buying a boy. But OP story is still not clear as it could be foul play but also just an accident , specially considering source / I mean The Sun , not Jasper, the poster /
  6. and some even dare to call me ' papa' and I was explained I'm supposed to be happy as it'e meant as sign of respect, brrrrrrrrrrrrr.
  7. there are still few in operation, I know one on Silom and at least 3 in Pattaya but did not notice any cruising in any of them. I use internet cafes because I hate typing on the screen but you are right, they seem to be less and less busy every trip.
  8. it's probably why it works
  9. There's some merit in selection of Detroit as it's prime example of urban decay in postindustrial western world, ugly but in the same breath quite fascinating and very different from sanitized and prosperous cities
  10. still impressive list and nothing to be shy about
  11. all those busy complaining about how good it was in days past and how bad it is now should read and memorize your statement. I agree and like that attitude - we are lucky we can still go and experience all joys Thailand has to offer and what is gone , bad or good it's gone ****** since experience at Domino's and Madrid is so different and so is their offering I'd say new entry welcomed, I don't even see this as competition. One can only hope that Silom will never become like most main streets in the west colonized by the same brands every block, familiar but boring and erasing any difference between places we travel to.
  12. you must be pretty old to remember those days
  13. I don't even know but it sounds very good
  14. you mean Arena, massage place in Silom Plaza?
  15. off two boys from 2 different bars , make sure they are into each other and they will perform both shows you desire in your room, more expensive but much more fun too
  16. Classic , XBoys and Screwboys bars massage places around soi Tarntawan
  17. Xsize boarded already and moved to soi Wall Street renamed G-Boy, new bar Tokyo Boys just beside Screwboys, Boy 66 in old Jupiter location now is called Moonlight and seems better and better with every coming report Fresh Boys has new location above Screwboys while old one in soi Twilight still is running, few reports / included mine / praised new Nakart massage at the mouth of Silom soi 4 exchange booths at airport railway station are offering rates as good as best in the city there are new banknotes and coins with new king face while old ones are still circulating
  18. was it you who had massage at King ( ? ) spa and had a guy falling asleep when massaging you? I remember such story . Reader's adventure reminded me popular tune of my long gone youth ' luck smiles only once ", had he followed that smile day before outcome could be very different . Best is to chalk it over to experience and move on, it could be actually even justifiable reason ( tooth pain and guy sedated himself with overdose of pain killer ) but still manager on duty should be aware and tell client about possible problem. I agree , great and unusual ( thanks God ) story
  19. I don't have any opinion of viability of older farang / younger Thai relationship , as faranglaw noticed life is more interesting and colorful but I think we hear more about positive outcomes than negative because most people are happy to scream 'success' than admit publicly to failure. ( Christian PFC excepted ) I miss few posters who happily told us about their boyfriends and then told us something happened and fell silent.
  20. if I'm not mistaken few years ago on one of forums you stated your goal of having sex in each one of 77 Thai provinces, hope those 52 all count !

I am not sure if Thailand even has permanent residence concept, I'm under impression you either citizen or not as we hear constantly on forums about reporting requirements for those who are living in the country long term
  22. sadly that's case of many relationships all over, nothing to do with Thailand , gay and age difference

you are right, now when they are rescued we may tend to forget their initial ordeal - 10 days in the dark with no sign world even knows their fate and they still seem to come unscathed by such experience, One good thing , one hopes, from all that ordeal judging by comments above is to highlight plight of millions of stateless or illegally living people all over the world who settled somewhere , at times even have quite comfortable life but they in constant fear of being stopped by authorities and asked for documents. At least Thailand is not chasing them away like Burmese do with Rohingyas with Noble Peace Prize laureate in charge and saying , not to mention doing, nothing
