And where one can walk 500 m like from Patpong to Tarntawan swimming in choice of attractive guys offering massage ? Is 17 $ for a right to remove employee from the premises in order to explore his charms , sometimes for as long as whole night really that much/ How much coffee in paper cup costs where we live? Or a bus ticket?

none of those things are even close to being prohibited but yes , it looks you were profiled for an extended check. while your experience was dispiriting I always advocate against writing off both, places and guys after only one trial. Comes from personal experience, my worst ever and one of best boys ever came from the same bar(Dreamboys) on the same trip only few days apart. Guy who humiliated me most, dumping mid-bar for another one after off fee was paid and one who provided me 2 years later with probably best night-with-boyfriend experience in all my 20 trips was exactly the same Tawan boy.
