I think those arrangements vary from bar to bar and even in bar may be different for different boys. The same goes with massage places. Some boys may be on kind of salary and then will pay penalty for no show, others may be freelancers who get nothing but show at work at will. Some places are providing free food for employees and other's not or at least not regularly. Once at Tawan I was witness of rice delivery , each boy present at work that day got big , 10 or perhaps 15 kg bag of rice. If boy's drink is more expensive than client's one which is a case in few bars, at least in Pattaya, that's sure sign boys get a cut of it. At Arena few times they let me to take boy off for free as long as I had paid massage that same day even if with another boy but this seemed to be at whim as it was not always a case but could be also result of some rules i.e. if boy had so many clients that day/ week / month he could leave for free, otherwise penalty applied. In some bars coyotes can't be offed before bar closes, in others their off fee is much higher. So it seems there are rules but very few are actually industry-wide.

while definitely boy would prefer tip over drink , even if he gets 20-50 baht out of it they may have quota of drinks over months. The same is possible with offs, one of Tawan boys kept telling me recently that requirement there is 10 offs/ month but I couldn't confirm it with other boys. mamasan's cut may be a reason that sometimes mamasans are quoting inflated tip expectancy, that's why I always talk directly to the boy cutting mamasans out of loop , usually by claiming I like girls better.

Cambodia is trying to enlist the site on the UNESCO World Heritage and if successful if will be much more popular place losing some of it's remote charm perhaps. Since is close to Kompong Thom it can be visited from there as a break on the Siem Reap-Phnom Penh route for those travelling by road. Preah Khan Kompong Svay / Prasat Bakan / is by wide margin remotest and hardest to get Angkorian site but definitely worth a trouble and expense. Imagine being alone in one of biggest Angkor temples like Ta Prohm or Preah Khan / the same name / and you get an idea and sense of adventure. Of course all of those are for lovers of old stones and some may find effort , time and expense to get there excessive , just the same like with some recommended boys , LOL,

Day 11 In the morning over breakfast last exchange of news with Xiluzer and his friends since I’m leaving for Pattaya today and they are going home tomorrow. My room was on 2nd floor and a little bit of bar noises were seeping into it but it was not annoying or sleep interrupting chiefly because I did not come to Pattaya to go to bed at 10 p.m. I liked fact that massage boys are on duty since 9 a.m. , used their services in the morning before and did this time as well. For unobstructed view and leisure of making selection still both soi Twlight places - Bonny and Bangkok Massage are the best. Boys are sitting in front in their shorts and vests, you can park yourself in a restaurant beside / Dick's at Bonny / or across / Maxi's at Bangkok / and make your mind without any pressure whatsoever. In Pattaya all three places in Boyztown provide the same comfort with Copa actually having both boys and a bar and new Prisma the best bar to check Scandic and Ambiance massage boys.

Perfect, it is clear with both posts that Borobudur is particularly photogenic for those sunrises. Now I feel a bit blessed as as mentoned before I can see sunset from my balcony for all summer months / for rest of year is obstructed by the highrise across /. It's over sub-urban landscape but still it has it's charm with a bonus - for few weeks in late spring and early fall I can see one part of sky completely dark already and one still reddish or whatever color sun provides that day.

I'm not big fan of twinks , granted, but I don't think I'm known for criticizing them or those who like them so I hope you did not have me in mind.
