on the long flights I always pick an aisle seat in the middle section at end of aircraft , far from kids , close to the kitchen and washrooms and most important- since lot of people doesn't like those seats , chances that seat beside me will be free creating more elbow space are much higher in the back . Disadvantages are being last to leave aircraft and last to be served meal , often with lesser selection but really who cares about different tastes of Styrofoam anyways?

I agree with both paul and colmx, immigration is lottery, over years I arrived in BKK at different times and did not notice much of pattern. During hours when airport train operates I'd not even think about taking taxi if only to take an advantage of very good exchange rates in airport link station exchange booths. But I tend to travel lightly so it's easy for me to say "take a train".

Leave unspent money with your favorite boy, I'm sure he will keep it for you. LOL On serious note , I used to take unspent money with me but if I have more than 1000 left I just exchange it back in the airport to some usable currency, on last trip in Sept I was pleasantly surprised how little I lost on such an operation.

I must look as the last sort of an asshole because pestering mamasans are last of my bar problems. I have no problem of telling them that I tip boys only , on another hand if they behave or behaved and were helpful in the past I don't mind slipping them 50 baht here and there. Specially I have fond memories of Screwboys mamasans. But generally they rather ignore me , fully deserved treatment. I found that short " I like girls" sends signal 'leave me alone"

I'm firmly in long time camp and even with affinity for older, straight acting and looking boys rarely have I problem of getting boys for long time. At times they may seek permission from girlfriend or book leaving time at say , 6 a.m. because they need to walk daughter to a school Even if odd boy refuses there's always his bar friend of equal quality who will do. And they tend to stick to their side of bargain, rarely trying excuses to leave early although it happens from time to time. I don't think gay bottoms would be different. Only difference I see between two cities is that BKK boys request and expect higher tip. Others may have different experiences

I don't think it can be generalized by nationality. Performance goes by the boy and customer, not by where either one is coming from. The same boy may be gem for me and waste of money for somebody else, may dump you in the middle of bar to go with other client and year or two later given a chance for redemption may turn out to be as close to boyfriend -like performance as possible ( those following my reports my recall what I'm are talking about). So no, I don't think one nationality trumps other but at the same breath I must say I have consistent good luck with Lao boys. But it's my good luck, not a universal rule.

world is changing it seems. In my long life in BKK massages I never was quoted up front anything other than massage fee and minimum tip if any. Yes , during massage issue of actual tip comes from time to time depending of subject of our exercises but up front , never so far. Not that I mind since I'm of " set price up front school " . Perhaps time to review my tipping practices as well as for massage my standard is 1000-15000-2000 for respectively 1-1.5-2 hrs regardless of standard or place, Pattaya included. Some boys get more but this depends solely on boy not the venue. I wonder which place is so progressive now, hope reader reveals. Otherwise I concur that sometimes misunderstanding come solely because of language issues so is important to observe body language of the boy in question while talking with him
