  1. ok, updates about: if there is/was garbage on the non-Pattaya City facing side of Koh Larn, new centralized speedboat ticketing system at the Bali Hai pier have been incorporated into the already existing 2022 trip report for Koh Larn here: enjoy.
  2. This is an update to this 2022 trip report to Koh Larn from the Pattaya Bali Hai pier - because the Pattaya City (mayor) decided to implement a new speedboat departure system, which I experienced today, 26 Oct 2024. https://www.pattayamail.com/news/pattaya-mayor-vows-to-end-aggressive-practices-at-bali-hai-pier-472979 Prior to now, you went to individual speedboat vendor booths to buy your ticket to Koh Larn - to the left of the pier (when facing the sea harbor) as shown in the below photo: Contrary to what was reported by the Pattaya mayor, I NEVER found this system to be aggressive. I knew which speedboat company I preferred and I walked up to that individual ticket booth and bought my ticket from my favorite ladyboy ticket seller at the AM booth. Simple and easy. One of their guides would walk us onto the Bali Hai pier where their designated speedboat was departing from. Now the Pattaya City had this not so great idea to terminate all of these individual speedboat ticket booths to just 2 ticket booths that are situated at the beginning of the Bali Hai pier - see below photo that I took today: What the city has done is to divide Koh Larn into 2 sectors - Tawaen beach (side opposite of Pattaya city) and Na Baan (side facing Pattaya city). In the past, I always bought my ticket from the AM speedboat ticket booth for the Tawaen destination and I paid 150 baht each way or 300 baht if I wanted to return from Tawaen - often I returned from Na Baan - as the return times back to Pattaya city are more flexible. Well, this morning I got in the queue and I asked for a ticket to Tawaen and I was told that due to the choppy sea that they can only bring me to Nual Beach (aka Monkey Beach) for 500 baht. I don't like Nual Beach as it is not nice in my opinion. I asked why is it so expensive and the girl at the ticket booth told me that it is always 500 baht. I told her that I live in Pattaya now since 2 years and I have NEVER paid 500 baht to go to the non-Pattaya city facing side of the island. She replied to me, well my father is the boat captain - do you want to speak to him. I said NO - and I then asked her what are my other options to get onto Koh Larn? By now I was angry, as the Pattaya City has made a mess by demanding the demolition of the former decentralized ticketing system to this now centralized ticketing system. The girl told me that i can take the normal slow ferry to Na Baan OR she pointed to another ticket booth where they were selling speedboat tickets to Na Baan - the main village on Koh Larn. So, I bought a 150 baht speedboat ticket for Na Baan and we were then led by our assigned guide onto the Bali Hai pier floating launch that was super packed as there were other tour groups already on the floating pier - total chaos, confusion, and people being jostled by the up and down of the waves. When the system was decentralized, the individual boat company took care to obtain their own unique launch pier to avoid the chaos that comes when you put too many groups onto the same floating launch pier - a consequence of this badly implemented centralized system. In my opinion, it is just a mater of time before a tourist is hurt by this chaos and then to protect the sacred image of pristine Pattaya - they will order the centralized ticketing system to be demolished and we go back to the safer decentralized individual boat companies that saw to take care of you the customer. When I arrived into the main Na Baan village, I rented a motorbike so that I could cross over the island onto my favorite side. My first stop was for my favorite banana creme cake with an iced cappuccino at the wonderful Cher Aim Cafe & Resort situated on Tawaen beach. I will admit, the ride over on the speedboat was very choppy and 90% of the passengers were Asians and some of them opened their umbrellas inside the speedboat to try to avoid some of the splashes that were entering into the boat from the waves. All was good - as I am almost always impressed how the Thai boat drivers magically navigate their boats in any kind of weather. Then after by banana creme cake (don't tell my gym trainer - I can already hear her yelling - I cannot control what you put into your mouth - if she only knew - hahahha) I then drove the motorbike over the most difficult but exhilarating hill on Koh Larn down into my MOST favorite beach = Tien beach. Life is good on Tien Beach --> note that back in Pattaya there has been trash found on the local city beaches due to all of the recent storms - but over here on Koh Larn - no trash - just beautiful clean transparent turquoise water with fluffy white powder sand. The ride back to Pattaya City from Na Baan was uneventful because by now the morning choppiness had disappeared and the 8 km of sea between Koh Larn and Pattaya City was tranquil = all was good.
  3. it was beautiful and the garbage was almost non-existent on the non-Pattaya facing side of the island. I will be making an update later (as the city of Pattaya has made a BIG change on the Bali Hai pier for obtaining a speedboat ride that I need to write about)- now my two 4 hands massage guys are coming to my place soon.
  4. Send him to my neighborhood - I will give him a few Vinapu tucks 😜
  5. I am heading over to beautiful Koh Larn this morning. There is a lull in the expected rain storms, so today appears to be a good day to go over to the island without any storm threat. 🤞 I will report back if all of this trash, from the recent storms that is washing up on the Pattaya beaches is also found on Koh Larn.
  6. and this is the PRIMARY reason why I would hate any local economy to go cashless - because then in that moment we lose our privacy and nosy other entities/people start looking into where and how we are spending our discretionary income. I say, bugger off - that is my personal private business and I do not need a "helping hand" from some bureaucrat who wants to question me on how I am spending my money. Lastly, whenever it comes to tips - I prefer to use cash for making tips - as I don't want any intermediaries to either take their cut and/or to have power over the intended tip recipient to intimidate them for a cut. So for our guys and/or taxis - they get their tip in cash even if I pay the BOLT taxi by a linked debit card to my bank and the taxi drivers have told me that they really appreciate this - because they need to wait a long time to receive said tip into their bank account. Furthermore, when the BOLT app asks me how much to tip - I always select ZERO and then I write in the comment box that I tipped the driver in cash but I NEVER share this amount with BOLT.
  7. That guy would earn 100 baht in 5 minutes when he would be enchanted with the famous "Vinapu tuck" experience. and he would not need to sit with a lady customer all night long getting drunk, which could lead to the possibility of not being able to perform in bed should he be offed.
  8. I have noticed what appears to be a new barber shop in the Jomtien Complex, aka, Supertown: It's name is Glam Hair Studio and it is located at the principal Complex entrance at Thappraya road - where the 2 NEW marquees are located. https://www.facebook.com/p/KING-G7O-100064118111193/?_rdr Price list: I have not yet used their services, as I currently use the services of the Oscar shop, which is also on Thappraya road - but after it turns towards Dongtan beach at the opposite entrance to the Jomtien Complex (beach entrance).
  9. Thank you @Keithambrose for supporting the sensitivity of this delicate topic that deserves dignity for our guys. https://digitalcommons.uri.edu/dignity/vol2/iss4/10/ Click on the hyperlink once the above document opens to see the actual study/report that is some 30 pages long. It mainly focuses on the male sex industry in Chiang Mai, with its peculiar set of demographics, but in my opinion applies to all of Thailand. My hope is that if you are sincere and take the time to read it you will truly begin to understand the plight of our guys that give us comfort, that in my opinion, also deserve our protection and nurturing from the nasty side of this industry. +2 @reader - yes this is VERY true. The same is true here in the local Jomtien massage shops where the guys are VERY vulnerable to ignorance and/or cheapness by the visiting punters - especially if the masseur is working freelance, where his ONLY source of income are from the customer tips {above mentioned report in the .pdf document states this several times}. As I have written before in other forum posts about this topic I blame the massage shops for not indoctrinating the incoming customer on the expected tip culture for said massage shop. I note that in BKK that often when you sit down with the manager to select your massage oil, masseur, desired program, etc. the manager will often explain the expected tipping culture or show you a placard which clearly states it - in this way the masseur is protected from cultural ignorance of the customer and/or stinginess. Unfortunately, this practice is almost non-existent here in Jomtien and then there is noone to protect our local masseurs. And some of my local massuer friends have told me that one of the questions that they first ask to the prospective punter is, "where do you come from?", and if it is a certain set of countries then they will know to only expect a 20 to 100 baht tip for 60 minutes of work - so, sometimes they will decline the customer and/or try to explain to them the expected tip - but that is difficult, as the punter will then make a verbal fuss - thus creating a potentially confrontational situation which Thai people hate - as that goes against their cultural upbringing. Therefore, if the shop manager would do like they do back in BKK this problem could be alleviated.
  10. and when were they ever beautiful ? 🤔😮 Koh Larn yes - Pattaya = no 😒

  12. Thank you for having the courage to write this @emiel1981 as this is something that BURNS my ass when I see that some people want to underpay our guys - especially after 10 years of static prices. Inflation is REAL and I am sure that many of the visitors here to LOS have received inflation raises in their salaries and/or pensions - so why shouldn't our guys merit an inflation increase after 10 years. After living here in Pattaya for 2 years now as a new retiree, I see first hand how our guys struggle - especially during the low season when the Jomtien Supertown Complex is a ghost town and our guys still need to eat, pay the rent, live their lives, etc. We need to remember that in the prior year's low season that there were 6 suicides. This year I have not heard of any new suicides. Let's give our guys a break - they deserve it.
  13. Hahaha because you were stuck with me and I am definitely not a boy. Sorry that you did not win anything. Even my luck changed as my prior 2 Bingo attendances awarded me bottles of whiskey that I gladly donated to my "beautiful racoon eyes" honey 😍
  14. only if we could attach a monitor to the testicles of these miraculous forum members that manage to have 4 to 5 orgasms per day - then we would know if their trip reports are "exaggerations" hahahaha
  15. I am very happy that you liked our Pattaya cliff sightseeing restaurant tour. So many of our forum members who come to visit Pattaya tend to only stay in the gay ghetto areas and do not venture out to see the BEST of Pattaya, like: These many cliff restaurants (Sky Gallery, Chocolate Factory, The Forest, 3 Mermaids, Oxygen) that sit directly above Cosy Beach in Prathamnak hill with stunning sunset views of the sunset behind nearby Koh Larn island, Koh Larn island, Na Jomtien - with the wonderful restaurants (Bacco Beach, Cave Beach Club) that literally sit on the beach sand. More info here https://guides.traveldailymedia.com/najomtien Big Buddha hill which includes the Phra Tamnak Mountain Viewpoint with a stunning view of Pattaya harbor from above https://www.tourismthailand.org/Attraction/phra-tamnak-mountain-viewpoint The nearby City Coffee Pattaya with amazing views of the Pattaya harbor with the nearby declining steps onto the giant Pattaya sign that adorns the harbor. I tease my local Thai friends that this giant sign is like the Hollywood sign back in the USA. https://www.facebook.com/p/City-Coffee-Pattaya-100070351723813/ https://www.instagram.com/explore/locations/280636152/pattaya-city-sign-viewpoint/ Yes @emiel1981, you have been illuminated by this fact. Grindr in Pattaya only shows a smaller limited number of the available guys where I estimate that Hornet has double the number of available guy profiles in Pattaya than Grindr does. Furthermore, the Grindr feed is cluttered with all of the ladyboy profiles. and after @emiel1981 told me that he had a pleasant experience with this new guy (name is Joy), then I had to have him on the next day and I can only reiterate what our Emiel already wrote in his review about Joy. Joy is so new, he just arrived 5 days prior to Pattaya directly from the Isaan town = Si Sa Ket and when he came to my condo he rode his motorbike and was lost and I had to guide him to my condo. Very fresh and still wet behind the years....
  16. There are some Russians in my gym but I do not think that any of them are gay.
  17. The other morning when passing through in the Complex - there were construction workers doing works inside the Dorothy's Showbar. Months ago, the rumor mill said that M2M bought it but no one ever chimed in about how it will be transformed ?
  18. and why would a gay person stay in that area when there are 3 known gay areas to stay in: the Sunee Plaza area, Boyztown, Jomtien Complex
  19. I think that this forum peer pressure for us to have sex everyday, for who are here, who are doing trip reports - is that said forum members who are home or not in Thailand - want to live vicariously through our in-Thailand adventures - and therefore their @home (not in Thailand) desire is to influence our in-Thailand trip to post more about 1 or more encounters (offs) each day to satisfy their need/frustration for not being in-Thailand right now. Thoughts ?
  20. I fully agree - in my opinion, the M2M show is the BEST cabaret show in the Jomtien Supertown Complex. But the BEST in all of Pattaya, in my opinion, is the one at Tiffany's as I reported here:
  21. of which 1 of them I have a crush on - as he is from Myanmar and ever so sexy. Here in Pattaya it is very rare to have the privilege to encounter Myanmar guys whereas in BKK it is much easier to encounter them. Emiel and I, we nicknamed him, Mr. Tuesday, as he was supposed to be in my condo room today for my weekly gay volleyball organized 4 hands massage. One of the ex stars of X-Boys is personal friends of him (he plays volleyball), and he put my volleyball friend in contact with Mr. Tuesday. But, unfortunately, Mr. Tuesday had to cancel due to this awful fever + nasty cough that is going around here because of the recent inclement weather. So, once I can get Mr. Tuesday in my bed I will report back here..... Today I was provided with a sexy masculine substitute guy from Khon Kaen (Isaan) who was visiting Pattaya for 3 days and my volleyball massage organizer grabbed him at the last minute for my massage today. He was hot and fun - but in another day he flies back to Khon Kaen - so no repeat looks possible.
  22. at the suggestion of @emiel1981 I also had him. He is a fun young guy from Tampa, Florida. as I already posted in the other thread = This "straight" guy fits into one of Dr. Joe Kort's categories for straight guys who like anal stimulation and I would also add for who are "cashsexual". He has a great 6-pack and an average cut cock - which I tried to make orgasm - but no way - as he got hard for a while and then it petered (pun intended) out and became soft. So, then I let him finish me off with an ok edging - not the best but not the worst. As Emiel wrote, his massage was average. What is amazing is that his price is very reasonable for 2.000 baht because normally in Pattaya the foreigners usually start with prices that are minimum of 3.000 baht and up to 5.000 baht. The "straight" Russians that I play with require 3.000 and some of the hot BIG dick African's that pass through cost around 4.000 baht - but they are usually all pure muscle with humungous cut cocks.
  23. Wow @Vessey, this is a great summary / history of the M Bar. Thanks for sharing it with all of us. I have been living here now for 2 years and I only discovered this M Bar 2 weeks prior. On my first visit, my Thai friend who brought me here introduced me to Mama M and she gave me a long history lesson (which I truly enjoyed) about her works in Sunee Plaza, the demise of Sunee Plaza via the many Thai police raids for underage workers, then her time in BoyzTown, and then she shared with me the workings of the "authority" that is in charge of the Jomtien Complex - which if I remember correctly is the Royal Thai Army ? So, what goes on and what is approved or not approved has to first past muster with the Thai Army. She specifically stated that the Thai police that were harassing Sunee Plaza are not welcome in the Jomtien Complex as it is under the auspices of the Thai Army. These factual discoveries about how Pattaya is carved up into many little fiefdoms always fascinates me. Lastly, when @emiel1981 mentioned about the strong odor of mothballs - I told him that it reminded me of being at my grandmother's house and it actually did not bother me as it refilled me with those pleasant childhood memories.
  24. @emiel1981 great update on your Pattaya adventures.... what was your impression of the M Bar ? 🤪
  25. Hairy palms ? I did not know that our @vinapu had this fetish ? 🤪 😆
