  1. I can't wait to read about your next trip!
  2. I don't remember where the copy was made in. But Music Guy had a good laugh when we saw that the authentic Adidas shoes had been made in Vietnam - his home country!
  3. When Music Guy and I were at Centralworld, we saw the shrines outside. We also saw many ladies praying with roses in their hands. According to popular belief, praying with 9 stalks of red roses will enable a person's prayer for love to come true. It is even said that the most auspicious time to offer prayers is Thursday at 9:30pm! When I explained the belief to Music Guy, he shrugged. He is Catholic and of course I know. He always prays and says "Amen" before meals.
  4. From my interactions with guys in the bars, I found out that there were sometimes situations where customers didn't have enough Thai baht to pay. One guy proudly showed me a Hong Kong 500 dollar bill (equivalent to 2000 Thai baht) that a customer recently paid him with. On the subject of currencies, I believe many guys at the bar would have accumulated bank notes in a variety of currencies (e.g. US$, Euro, yen) given as souvenirs from customers for them to remember them. Until their next visit!
  5. When I visited forum member at Quarter Silom one morning, he showed me the brand new currency exchange machine next to hotel reception. You can insert foreign currency into the machine and out comes Thai baht 24 hours. Of course the exchange rate is not good but it's convenient for hotel guests who realise they don't have enough thai baht at 1:00 am.
  6. Besides meeting great guys at night, I did a lot of exercise during the 2 weeks. The pool at the condo is just 2 floors above. Less than 1 minute walking distance. Every morning after breakfast, i spent an hour in the pool. In the evening, I was at Lumpini Park. The mass aerobics exercise is really fun. Anyone could join in for free and I felt so welcomed without being judged for my novice clumsy movements. I got better at following the aerobics moves with each subsequent session. Even when aerobics was cancelled, Lumpini Park is still a good place to jog and walk and there's so much eye candy! My guy says he's happy that I am exercising every day. He says that when he is in Bangkok and I visit, we can exercise together every evening.
  7. Enjoying your "live" trip report! Hope you get your guy from bar and enjoy him in glass shower at Raya tonight!
  8. When I am in Bangkok sitting with the guys, I smoke with them because it's expensive to smoke in Singapore! A pack costs equivalent of 450 baht. Thai cigarettes cost 70 baht. I don't actually buy cigarettes from 7 Eleven. I just smoke whatever the guys are smoking and they offer me. The Viet guys bring in cartons of cigarattes from Vietnam when they enter Thailand. They prefer the stronger taste and flavour. Vietnam cigarettes cost only 18,000 dong which is equivalent of 20 baht!
  9. A forum member sent me a message "U seem to be enjoying the two week more than when you are with your bf lol" I thought about the message and I agree. When my guy is around, it is more difficult to off other guys. I feel guilty that he is working while I am flirting at other bars (typically with other forum members). What makes things even worse is when he has no customer. He cannot stand it when his friends at bar tease him and ask where I am. Yet when I off him, I have to think of things for us to do together (we can't have sex all the time!) During this trip, I offed Music Guy 5 times, Handsome Guy 3 times and Tall Guy once. Music Guy is sort of a substitute for my guy. They are similar in many ways (but he doesn't play chess) and my guy knows I like Music Guy very much. I keep my guy updated every day about who I meet. The guys in the bars also know about my relationship with my guy. They know I won't off them if my guy is around. Because of this very reason, they were keen to meet me. They were the ones who sent me messages every evening. Music Guy is a rogue but he is fun. He asks for additional taxi fare home. He also asks to meet in daytime for lunch and he was specific in choosing to eat Korean BBQ. Of course, after lunch, we definitely ended up shopping (we were at Centralworld after all) and I don't regret buying him original Adidas shoes from official Adidas store compared to the copy Balencigia-Underarmour shoes that he wanted at Patpong shoe shop a few nights ago.
  10. There is a coffeeshop on soi 3 named La Cabra which always has a queue outside. The bread and pastries are prepared fresh every day behind the payment counter. I only had coffee there once last December and it was ok for me. There were no queues last year. The queues only started this year. Successful advertising and branding campaign?
  11. I went to Bangkok just to experience Pride Parade on Sunday 31 May. I was expecting Pride related decorations in the month of June but it seemed a quiet affair. Only some places displayed the Pride flag.
  12. Can't you just say that you have a Laos wife? 🤣
  13. The next morning, I checked out of condo at 8:45am to go to airport. But before that, I had last meal in Bangkok. I had a wonderful 2 weeks holiday. I will go back to work and slog and earn money for the next trip.
  14. Music Guy and I crossed the overhead bridge from Centralworld to Big C. I told him to go back to his room and rest. I had to do some shopping for folks home. We parted ways and I told him we will meet tonight. After shopping, I went back to condo and rested awhile. I went to Lumpini Park at 5pm for a walk (and look at cute guys exercising). The mass aerobics was still cancelled. Back to condo to shower and then to Foodland for final dinner with forum member. He was going off to airport at midnight and I was leaving the next morning. We had many adventures together. The bars had not opened yet so we went to Patpong market and got a pleasant surprise! Another forum member joined us for a chat and we updated each other. I only realised later that there were other forum members in Soi 4 the same night. We could have met if only we had known each other's travel plans in advance. After chatting, 3rd forum member left us as he was meeting his guy. Forum member and I then went to Good Boy to have a drink. Half an hour later, we left. I said goodbye to him. See you again next adventure. As for me, my plans tonight was blackjack night. I offed Tall Guy and Handsome Guy from Good Boy. Music Guy from Dreamboy joined us. We went to Foodland supermarket to get drinks and snacks then back to condo to play blackjack.
  15. Saturday - on way back from Foodland breakfast, I received a message on my phone. It was Music Guy. He asked to meet in daytime and I said sure. At 1030, he came to condo and we had fun time together then we went to Centralworld for Korean BBQ lunch which then led to shopping and to no one's surprise, I bought him a new pair of shoes!
  16. Just before the first show at Freshboys began, I left with Tall Guy. Super handsome with cute smile and I couldn't stop looking at him when we were back in room. After our romantic time, I walked back to Patpong with him. He wanted to go back to his bar while I had to meet a friend to pass him something I got from shopping. I had something to eat at Foodland then went back and saw cute Myanmar waiter at Rainbow Dragon. We exchanged greetings in Mandarin and I gave him a tip.
  17. There are only 6 Viet guys working in Good Boy. Last night one didn't work. Three were offed before 10pm (I wonder who. Hmmm.) So two were left and you tipped one of them!
  18. I only know the policy at Freshboys, Dreamboy and Good Boy. In the past, the bars did not insist on buying a boy drink. Now they do. Unless the boy invites himself and he comes to sit down with you to drink. It also depends on your relationship with mamasan. She might overlook it if you are a regular customer.
  19. In fact, last night there were 6 active forum members in Patpong and soi 4 area! We could have a large group dinner if only we had known each other's travel plans. But of course I understand that not everyone feels comfortable in a big group setting. G's would not be the place for any gathering more than 4 persons. I highly recommend Happy Beer Garden upstairs area. It can accomodate up to 20 people!
  20. Luckily for most punters, the rich Asian customer only comes to Freshboys during low season. He doesn't come during high season. Freshboys boss is very happy to have him as customer. He is based in US even though he is Asian. He tips boys on stage via a shot glass of whisky and a US$10 note!
  21. Yes. I use it all the time!
  22. I am leaving this morning after 2 weeks. We should have met last night! I was at Foodland then Patpong then Good Boy but went back condo relatively early by 10pm.
  23. It rained non-stop for one hour in the evening. Luckily, I reached my room minutes before the deluge. When the rain got lighter, I took out my umbrella and headed to Foodland to have dinner with forum member. Yesterday night at Good Boy, I met and got to know new guy. I shall call him Tall Guy ... well ... because he's tall! I didn't realise he was tall when we were seated so close to each other and drinking last night. He's not actually new. I just never saw him. But he remembered me and he told me we had met. He said that last year, I was walking with my guy and we bumped into Tall Guy and another Viet guy and I gave them cigarettes. I consider all my guy's friends as my friends which is why I tip them or gjve them gifts. Anyway, tonight I had already arranged for off with Tall Guy. He joined forum member and me for dinner. After dinner, we went to Freshboys. Rich Asian customer was there with several Myanmar and Cambodian guys around him. I found out from mamasan that when he is in town, he stays from 2 weeks to 20 days and every night, he goes to Freshboys!
  24. Friday - breakfast at Foodland, swim at pool, shopping, afternoon coffee with forum member and we ended up having massage at same massage shop in soi 6 (with different guys of course). After massage, we went back to change to exercise attire and met at Lumpini Park. Unfortunately, there was no mass aerobics exercise. All public activities suspended due to passing of the King's eldest daughter. Forum member and I ended up walking one round of Lumpini Park and we even checked out the brand new extension bridge to connect to Benjakitti Park. Many people jogging and walking at Lumpini Park including hunks and handsome looking young men. Forum member and I even stopped at bench diagonally opposite facing an exercise area to admire two shirtless young guys doing handstands and pull-ups. Later, I read up on the King's daughter. Impressive woman. Rest in peace.
  25. I like the boyfriend experience. I like being with him.
