One last comment. Taxi and grab prices in phuket is prohibitive to say the least. One way taxi ride from airport to Bangtao hotel is 700 Baht, while my bolt charge on our way back is half that. There is an airport bus u can take for 100 baht that take you through most tourist spot but as usual, if your hotel is not near their path or bus stop, you will need to walk a bit or take a bolt. Still cheaper than using the taxi. Ive asked about private driver with car services as well and was quoted 2.5k per 8 hour. Not a bad option if you plan to explore the main island. Hiring a bike still is the best and cheapest way to explore the island but it isnt the most comfortable and weather might not be permitting too.

Isnt pension scheme is just to ensure you are living just above the poverty line? You definitely need to have additional source of savings and i come to live comfortably in your country. Thailand or specifically chiang mai's poverty line is definitely much much lower than Australia, so for him to move and retire in Chiang Mai make sense. Compare to him relying solely on pension to live in Australia, i dont think he could even make enough for rent.

Some afterthoughts - Travelling during low season has its advantages and disadvantages but to me, the positive outweigh the negative by a mile. Yes, its rainy season, some boys might not be around, but so do customers, hence available boys are eager to please. The only time i had to change plan due to rain is during our unplanned extended visit to Beef club. In Phuket, its a good idea to be flexible and choose the day you will do your boat trip wisely. Im lucky enough to have very minor rain during our lunch, but no rain at all the rest of the trip. It was light drizzling during my first full day there, but no umbrella needed and it was raining on my way to airport on our last day in phuket. While in bangkok, low season is quite visible during weekdays, the weekends are still considerably pack. In Phuket however, its crowded with tourists, mainly from western countries. Another plus point, no need to wait/queue or book ahead for popular place like prime massage, beef club or sauna mania. I suppose this also extends to places like DJ station, GOD etc but i havent visited these place to confirm. - Taking another guy from outside thailand for a trip to Thailand has been quite smooth sailing for me. No issue for him to leave Indonesia, transit in Malaysia and entering Thailand. I have prepared him with flight tickets, hotel bookings, as well as some cash for him to show if the immigration ever asked (they never did). There is another reason why i take him for this trip, his birthday is coming up, hence the trip. Although, when he is about to leave thailand, since his flight is to Malaysia, he was asked to show his outgoing flight out of Malaysia during check in. - This trip, Ive met 2 repeat guys (Moonlight J, The one T, from previous trip, 3 new guys (Maha N, Jupiter guy, and Prestige guy) 1 multiple off (Jupiter guy - 2 off) 1 onsen visit (Yunomori), 1 social bar visit (Beef), 4 Prime massages. I havent visited arena, vck, jey spa, good boys and fresh boys this trip.

Final day - After breakfast, we returned the bike and walk back to our hotel to check out. We took bolt to the airport and arrived at DMK around 3.30 pm. Bought the ticket online while waiting for our flight at the airport, and given a time slot 5pm for the sunset. We stay there until its a bit dark before making our way to icon siam for dinner at their street food place ground floor. Afterward, we went back to our hotel to put our stuff and clean up before heading out for bar visit. While at our hotel, my jupiter guy message me asking about my phuket trip. I told him it was great and im already in bkk. He asked if we can meet tonight. I told him a friend is sleeping with me tonight but Ill go to his bar tonight as it is my last night tonight. Anyway his message makes me think of a possibility of 3some. Its not what i prefer so it is more of me trying to see if my guy is open to it, without ever trying to make it happen. I first asked my guy if he had done 3some before. And he said yes, with some of his fellow MB, servicing one client. I asked further if he will be ok if we take a guy for 3some tonight, and he said he is open but i notice some uneasiness in his voice. I try to find out and he finally said he will only service me and wont do anything with the other guy. I think he is the shy type and prefer 1 on 1 session but willing to do 3some only if the client wants, but he wont do anything else with the other guy. I feel a bit of relief, no need to worry about 3some anymore hehe. I managed to says hi to my Jupiter guy discreetly just before he went out and slip him a tip. We then return to our hotel for one last night before heading back home. On our last day, managed to get late check out 1pm FOC, and we then head to Prime for our last leg, neck and shoulder massage before heading to airport for our departure.

4th day - I had a brilliant idea that on our last full day in phuket, i suggested that we rent a motorbike, and have a leisurely trip of our own, visiting several beaches. So after breakfast, we head down the mall area, called boat avenue, and rent a bike for 1 day, for only 300 baht, with 3000 baht deposit. We visited bang tao beach, surin beach and kamala beach, had a casual stroll at each beaches and had our lunch nearby kamala beach. We then head back to hotel for some rest, before heading out again to view sunset at surin beach. We missed a bit the beginning of the sunset but the view was definitely much better than yesterday sunset view on the boat due to the perfect sunny weather today. After it gets dark, we made our way to Patong. We parked our motorbike at 7-11 near the dolphin roundabout, and have a nice stroll along Patong beach. After few blocks of walking, we walk towards the city and make our way back to our bike to go for dinner at a restaurant we passed by before, a bit uphill with view of patong beach. After dinner, we went to hard rock cafe phuket area to buy some souvenirs. We then parked near paradise complex area, and walk a bit towards the walking streets. It was tuesday night but the walking street is packed with tourists. Several very big bars here with grand decoration. I saw one bar that has muscular russians guys on their rooster, similar to the one in pattaya. We did a tour and after, we went to paradise complex. When we enter the soi, show was on going outside of zag club.They have about 5 coyote dancers on a small raised platform. While they have some muscles, non really my type. We sit down on one of the table outside and ordered our drinks. Half way through the shows, i saw one more coyote dancer going up the small personal platform, replacing his colleague. Then lady boys shows, one after another. While sitting, i saw that the bar on the corner, further inside, has shirtless muscular guys that are more my type. I told my guy i wanted to go there just to have a peek, and the bar name is cruise club. And to my suprise,the muscular shirt guys they have are actually similar guys that i saw in circus soi 4. I guess these guy were invited to be for a special show? There is also another bar called (i) bar that have some guys more on the twink side too, located in between cruise club and zag club. Anyway, i only did a quick peek so i didnt leave my guy alone too long at zag. We stay until the show moves inside, closer to midnight, and unfortunately, shows inside is pretty much similar to the outside show. Only diff now the coyote dancers now goes down the stage and start mingling with customers for drinks and gropings. Too bad non are my type, but cant complaint much, i have a hunk beside me. We decided to call it a day and start heading back.

Had a bit of rest after packing and head to DMK after checking out. My companion will be joining me at DMK, taking a flight earlier from Indonesia. We then go for lunch together at the airport food court upstair, then check in for our flight. I will be very brief on my report for phuket since we mostly do touristy stuff. We talked a bit on what to do tomorrow and he also went to check out the gym. 2nd day - before breakfast, i went to the concierge to see what trips/sightseeing they have. Decided to take their half day city tour that start in the afternoon and ends with visit to the Sunday night market in the Old town phuket. Visited the Wat Chalong, Big Buddha, Khao Rang Hill View Point, Jui Tui Shrine and lastly the Old town phuket for the Sunday market. Overall, its a good introductory half day trip covering most of the tourist spots and no unwanted visit to farm, tiger/elephant place, nor visit to specialty shops. U can get a great view of the island on top of Big Buddha, but our most memorable place was at Khao Rang hill, where there was a troop of monkeys claim residency there. Towards the end of our visit, one of the monkey were trying to grab the skirt of one of the girl in our group. Luckily, she didnt panic and the monkey did let go. There is also a Harry Potter themed Cafe near the sunday market. For dinner, we just order grab for dinner. 3rd day - had our breakfast and get ready for our island tour today. As per recommended by the tour lady, we took the bigger catamaran boat, and our tour will be focusing on phi phi island and surrounding, with lunch buffet there. First stop is Bamboo island where we had time to swim on a very pristine beach. It wasnt too crowded too, so it was very pleasant to swim especially with my hunk on my side. After lunch at phi phi island, we head to the Pileh Lagoon for long tail boat tour around the towering limestone cliffs, and stop by the side for snorkeling, paddle boat or canoeing. Afterward, we head to the famous Maya Bay. Definitely one of the most beautiful beach, but overcrowded with tourists. No swimming allowed, and all boats now stays on the otherside of the bays. On our way back, we stopped at Maiton island, nearer to main phuket island for sunset and bbq dinner. Overall, the tour is definitely the highlight of my phuket trip.

Since i didnt have any company last night, i invited my friend to join me for breakfast at my hotel. We then did a bit of shopping trip to the new shopping mall, Emsphere in Sukhumvit, near Phrompong station. Fan of Jeyspa should be familiar with this bts station already. We had our lunch at the famous Terminal 21 food court, Pier 21. Cheap food, not much diff than street food pricing, in a convenient and air-conditioned mall. I am a fan of repeat encounter with known quality, and my second session with jupiter guy is even more rewarding. The bar has a separate lift that will take u straight to the fourth floor. No entry fee, and drinks are quite reasonable, 140-180 baht. Very nice music, cute bartenders, wearing oversize tee and knee-length short. Several small round table with bar stools, banquette style seats along two sides of the wall with small table to put your drinks. They have a DJ for the music. Since its a weekday, and its raining, we didnt have to queue to go inside. And when we enter, there are already quite a good crowd, though we still manage to get on the banquette seats opposite the entrance. Crowd is mixed of all type. It could be the rain, as most of the reports ive read saying the crowd are usually more beefy/stocky/bear type. But tonight, its the usual type is maybe less than 30% of the crowd. As the night progress, it gets livelier and more packed. It closes at around 2am. From where we sit, we can see the outside and it is still raining every time we check, and the rain doesnt stop until we leave the bar. Initial plan was to enter this bar and wait for the rain to stop before making our way to patpong for bar visit. Since the rain didnt stop at all, we ended up just staying in this bar and enjoy people watching. There are few eye candy around and one guy did flirting with me a bit, until i saw his BF enter the bar and he make a quiet sign to me after lol. He isnt my type though but im flattered still lol. We leave around 1 or so, since we decided not to wait until the bar close as we might need to queue to use the small lift. I went back with a taxi due to the rain. My big lesson here is to always brings umbrella with me. But then again, the whole trip, i only needed an umbrella only on this night. And yes, no off tonight. I needed this rest and get ready for tomorrow's massage session with prestige's masseur that ive been eyeing for a while.
