I think this is what Pattaya's BBB owner has realized and has been pretty much successful to attract both kind of customers, the offing kind and the gawkers. I see 4 different type of staff hired by BBB, excluding the mamasans/waiters. First is the usual, boys available for off. Second, boys who can be hired but unlikely to be offed, but are there doing majority of the explicit shows. These boys are neither has the model handsome looks, or muscular body, nor young ages, but most if not all does sport big dicks and exotic manly look. Third are the dancers/ladyboys, mainly for the show, and not for hires. Last is their external hires like breakdance boys, str8, hired only for their skills to attract, gawkers, but at the same time, entertain the offing type customers too. Jupiter are slowly moving towards this too but they still have their handome and muscular guys doing the shows, though i wouldnt call their shows explicit, although some exposed dicks were visible now, which is a good improvement. Alas, most of their boys a not known for performing well in bed. But during december last year, they have no issues hiring new boys, most of them still fits into Jupiter standards. Moonlight and Banana are moving exactly as you mentioned, too focused on bringing customers that would not off, aka, come for the show only. I agree tipping should be agreed by both parties. A repeat usually means both party agrees that the tip given previously is acceptable. Some guys also knows their worth, same way we know whats the general asked. I have a range that im comfortable with, and it varies a bit depending on how much i like the guy. So if he quoted anything within the range, i rarely haggle. But subsequently, if after the session, i find that its not worth the tip given, i rarely repeat, or only repeat next trip, or once a trip or none at all. In short, unlikely to be my regular. I am very picky to begin with, so most of the time, the guy i chose already deserved the range im willing to give them. There are few exception here and there but generally, thats the case. Very rarely, there are guys who fail to deliver, or cut short on the deals. In this case, its always case to case basis. If i dont think ill take him again, ill try to reach agreement with him on the lowest he will take vs the highest ill pay him for the service already rendered. I.e, if agreement was LT until breakfast and he wanted to leave at 3, 4, 5 am, then most of the time, ST tip is generally accepted, given that the session usually start closer to 2am anyway. If i decided to give the guy another chance, I pay him full agreed price. But only if he show the effort to honor the deal next time. Some guys are just to hard to say no to lol.

Just to add a bit to the comprehensive reply from @macaroni21 above. Specifically with regard to legit massage place. As prime massage is the favorite place in silom for many, it is a legit place that has a minimum tips stated in their menu. It is only 100 baht tips. Thus, if u see such a low minimum tips in any massage shop, its most likely tip for just the massage and nothing more. On the other hand, for sexual massage places, like Arena for example, has indicated in their website whats their minimum tips entails, a HJ and shower with masseur at the end. Recent visit there, after my session, the manager asked me to fill in a rating slip, and one of the question is did the masseur shower with you. I agree that the tip range for services is a heated topic so im just stating the few cases where the shop actually spell out what u get for min tip. Some even spell out min tip for soft and hard. If you like shows and carberet, here is my list of preference. For ladyboy shows, i voted banana bar to be amongst the best, with jupiter came in second, mainly because their ladyboy shows always accompanied by 3-4 sexy boys (my type). For sexy boys shows, xboys in pattaya leads the show with tawan came in second. These are the bars that left very little to our imagination. Regardless of the shows though, my ranking based on preference for offing are quite diff indeed. Based on recent visits, for pattaya, its BBB, and Dreamboys.
