Lots of interesting posts here. I have been going to Thailand since 1987 but not since the pandemic began. I do wonder for my next trip what interest I might have in the go-go bars. I'd see a show at Jupiter since it is known for its cute guys. But just a bar with boys dancing lazily waiting to be offed? I don't think I have any interest in that anymore. I think the massage parlors will interest me more, but right now, I just don't know. Mainly I am looking forward to nice hotels, scenic tours, and good food. Friendly people too, just not necessarily in a thong.

An 83-year old friend loved Killers of the Flower Moon and sat through all 3 1/2 hours without a pee break. He loved the movie so much that he is willing to do it again. I let Prime Day pass so today took advantage of early Black Friday sale on Amazon and bought this: HP Newest Stream 14" HD Laptop, Intel Celeron Quad-Core Processor, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 64GB eMMC, 1 Year Office 365, WiFi, Bluetooth, HDMI, RJ-45, Webcam, USB Type-A&C, w/GM Accessories I couldn't see the value of a Chromebook over a laptop. My bad experience with my old Ipad kept me from buying a new one. So I hope this laptop does the job. It didn't cost much at $239.

I have a reservation at the Dandy Dan. I checked prices yesterday, and my same room would be about $400 US higher if I booked it now. I'll check the rates at the Courtyard and see how they compare. Although I love a lavish breakfast, I can sometimes settle for good coffee. UPDATE: I did switch to the Marriott Courtyard downtown. The price was quite similar to the Dandy Da-an.

My first exposure to a foreign toilet was in Mae Sai ,up near the border with Myanmar. I had urgent diarrhea and finally found a restroom. It was a hole in the floor, and no toilet paper. I used it because I had to, but after I asked my Thai friend to help me find a place that sold toilet paper. It was not easy, but he found it!

I hope that you don't flush them, even if the box says "flushable." PS: I think the site should show many more examples of clean butt holes so everyone gets the point!

Forgive my ignorance, but how does a Chromebook compare to a laptop?

Last month when I went to 117 on a Tuesday, it was delightful. Packed and loads of fun.

My Ipad does not do well on the internet. Pages don't load or load very slowly. I realize that may be a low wi-fi input, but my home wi-fi produces the same result. I thought a laptop would be better for surfing the internet.

Is there a tech savvy guy or two here who could look and advise on what is the best choice?
