My bad experience with my old Ipad kept me from buying a new one. So I hope this laptop does the job. It didn't cost much at $239.

I have a reservation at the Dandy Dan. I checked prices yesterday, and my same room would be about $400 US higher if I booked it now. I'll check the rates at the Courtyard and see how they compare. My first exposure to a foreign toilet was in Mae Sai ,up near the border with Myanmar. I had urgent diarrhea and finally found a restroom. It was a hole in the floor, and no toilet paper. I used it because I had to, but after I asked my Thai friend to help me find a place that sold toilet paper. It was not easy, but he found it!

My Ipad does not do well on the internet. Pages don't load or load very slowly. I realize that may be a low wi-fi input, but my home wi-fi produces the same result. I thought a laptop would be better for surfing the internet.

Pre-pandemic we stayed at the W. It's very nice and the buffet breakfast was superb.

I am also booking directly for my Thailand trip in January. I like to stay in different hotels and get a different experience. So far, I have booked two hotels, with two to go.

I did book this hotel for my last weekend. The price was lower as they are doing maintenance. But still expensive.
