  1. Say, I have 2 tickets to see Hamilton next October. A year ahead of time, but they are the best seats not costing a fortune. The seat next to mine sells for $449, versus $199 for my tickets. All in all, still a high price for theater. But I have seen Hamilton once already, and it is nothing short of amazing. Didn't think Pence and I would agree on much, and so soon too.
  2. I wonder if those who have children and grandchildren are laughing.
  3. No, those seats are for regular economy. I am looking at next summer, so the fares are probably not going to go down until capacity can't be reached at these fares.
  4. Dollar down, airfares up! Almost $1400 to fly to Rio from Palm Springs. We used to be able to get frequent flyer awards in coach for 40,000 miles R/T. Today they wanted 150,000...no kidding!
  5. Hey, Donald, when you go to England to meet the Queen, DO NOT grab her pussy! Anyone else have some good advice?
  6. So I cleaned out all of the cookies. Then I signed in to my 8 favorite sites. Whereupon, I took another look at the cookie list, which minutes ago is empty. Well, most of the cookies I deleted are back. My favorite sites do not come to me unattached. Lowermybills.com needs a cookie on my computer? I don't think so. Same for Twitter.
  7. Everyday my computer picks up cookies. Boytoy.com gives one, which I assume gives them the power to recognize me when I come back. I don't think it is a tracking cookie, but it might be. Tracking cookies seem to be those whose donors feel entitled to follow me around the web, supposedly so that they can better tailor ads to me. Many if not most cookies are hard to figure. Why do I always have cookies from lowermybills.com and twitter.com, both sites that I don't use. When I go to my cookie list, I see that most of them involve ads. If you delete them, they come right back. Unavoidable might be the right word. So, what should my attitude be toward cookies? Friend or foe? Are they really tracking me around the internet? Do they watch porn with me?
  8. The jumper looks a bit like Eric Trump. But then, he would only be jumping for joy. Ah, such a sad day.
  9. Tomcal, on what is a sad day here in the States, it's nice to be able to come here and read an upbeat report about gay life in Merida. Thanks.
  10. I am not a fan of the Clintons. I don't trust them. Any of them. But, I voted for Hillary simply because the Republican Party nominated the one person who is the most unqualified candidate in our nation's history. I predict Clinton wins. Oh, by how much? Nationally I'd say 4-5 points.
  11. Well, the fact is that the new mayor will be the one with the power....and how will he use it?
  12. Wow! I made 2 mistakes in one thread. Comey did not stand up to John Ashcroft, he stood up to the guys who would act on Ashcroft's behalf while the Attorney General was hospitalized. He beat them to the hospital and informed Ashcroft of their shenanigans. And the President can fire the Director of the FBI. Bill Clinton did. Sorry for being so wrong.
  13. Further, I posted this: During campaigning the 59-year-old faced uproar over comments made in a 1999 book where he described homosexuality as evil and the Roman Catholic church as demonic. (bbc.com Oct.31, 2016) And, from thebubble.com: In a video from 2012 that has since been deleted, Crivella preached to his congregation that gay people deserved compassion. Sounds like an unobjectionable principle until he explains why: homosexuality is a result of suffering in the womb, specifically the kind of suffering that results from unsuccessful abortions. Crivella went on to compare their suffering to that of children born into poverty in favelas who, like gay children, are born into desperation after their mothers have tried to abort them.
  14. Moving the comments about the mayor from another thread to one dedicated to the subject is a good idea, lomg. So here's the first I posted on it: This news, from London's The Guardian, is no comfort to gay sauna lovers: An evangelical bishop has been elected mayor of Rio de Janeiro, as rightwing candidates across Brazil strengthened their influence at the expense of a decimated Workers’ party. Despite his past condemnation of Catholics and homosexuals, Marcelo Crivella of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God won control of the city in a second round of municipal elections that underscored the rise of religious conservatism and the demise of the leftwing party that has dominated national politics for more than a decade. * I don't know how much power a Rio mayor has, but the very election signals desire to return to more conservative roots with a rabidly anti-gay mayor.
  15. Sorry, bobbalino, the site is exceptionally off today. I meant to reply to tomcal's statement: "The mayor who i believe has been in office since 2009 is not a threat to the gay life stlye.. " Now, tomcal, surely you don't think that the London Guardian is posting 7 year old stories? The election is being reported in today's news. And no problem for gays? You say that because...? 16. A Japanese woman farted during her surgery. The gas came into contact with a laser, and the event turned into a pretty hot date for all. No word on whether Adam Smith was present, unless that name in Japanese is Asahi Shimbun. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/world/patient-burned-mid-surgery-explosion-laser-ignites-fart-article-1.2852543 The event is not as rare as would seem:
  17. He is only 3 years into a ten year term.

  19. Comey has a ten year term. I doubt he can be fired. He could, however, resign after disgracing himself.
  20. Try this link too! http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/hillary-clinton-fbi-james-comey-disclosure-prosecutors-230467
  21. On both occasions, Comey was out of line. The FBI has a policy of not speaking of existing investigations or explaining why they didn't file charges. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/james-comey-fails-to-follow-justice-department-rules-yet-again/2016/10/29/3a2fad58-9ddd-11e6-b3c9-f662adaa0048_story.html?hpid=hp_no-name_opinion-card-d%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&utm_term=.601e8ce7b640
  22. FBI Director James Comey, once thought to be a pillar of integrity for standing up to Attorney General John Ashcroft, has sent a letter to Republicans in Congress revealing that he is now conducting additional investigation into the Hillary Clinton email matter. His speech to the public announcing the results of the earlier Clinton investigation were so inconsistent with the FBI's policies over decades, that to see him now releasing information that the public has no ability to evaluate just 11 days before the election is no doubt the most irresponsible act ever committed by an FBI Director. Take that, J. Edgar! Normally, the FBI never discusses their pending investigations, or comments when an investigation is closed without charges. Comey his violated both principles, clearly in an effort to benefit his fellow Republicans next month. The only thing more reprehensible was the Supreme Court's decision to intervene in an election with Bush. v. Gore.
  23. My favorite at the Gaiety was Anthony, also known as Chico, a Latino from San Diego. He danced his heart out, believing that the customers deserved his best. And, as is now famously said, "believe me" he gave just as good in bed. He usually came into town with Tino Lopez, another Latino, who actually had to ask me if he was ever going to get a chance with me since I hired Anthony so often. I did hire Tino, but once was enough.
  24. My first visit to the Gaiety was in 1983. I was amazed. It didn't take long before I hired someone. Prices were under$100 in those days. I think the most shocking thing that happened there for me was turning down Joey Stefano. I once lusted after him, but when he tried to entice me there he was so stoned I knew it wouldn't be fun. Stella's was a masterful people watching place. You could sit back and see all of the subtle signs of cruising, yet ostensibly guys were just drinking and playing pool. Some really hot Latinos there. I met Tomcal at Stella's years ago. He first tried to take my seat, then he tried to take my virginity! (Believe the second part at your own risk!)
  25. The NY Times article details the discovery that HIV came to New York in 1971, then moved to San Francisco by 1976, far earlier than previously thought. "Patient Zero," long blamed for bringing the virus to the US, is innocent! http://www.nytimes.com/2016/10/27/health/hiv-patient-zero-genetic-analysis.html?hp&action=click&pgtype=Homepage&clickSource=story-heading&module=second-column-region&region=top-news&WT.nav=top-news&_r=0 INNOCENT!
