  1. Thanks, OneFinger. I am glad that you liked it. There must be a lot of old-time dancers who blew up the stage.
  2. Do we have to observe 30 days of silence in The General Pub to remember Florence? She wasn't the Queen after all.
  3. I remember that a few years ago a friend had his devices, I think laptop, seized by DHS. To my knowledge, nothing came of it. But it made me aware of the problem . For years, government prosecutors have seized assets of suspected criminals without any due process of law or even arrest and conviction. They then sell many of the assets for profit- to the government. And it's all legal. Americans gladly give up their right of privacy to the extent that it hardly means anything to them anymore. Just click "I Agree" without reading what you agree to. Arbitration used to be rare, but so many businesses make agreeing to it rather than a jury and a court non-negotiable if you want to work with that business or bank or hot dog stand. Many "I Agree" clicks do exactly that.
  4. The title refers to a Fred Astaire quote on the Nicholas Brothers performance of Stormy Weather, filmed lived around 1943. The Nicholas Brothers are new to me, so when I saw that quote I had to see if it was on YouTube, and sure enough, it is. I am the last person to proclaim a "greatest dance" about any dance, so watch it for yourself and see it it pleases you as it did me, and countless others: More on the Nicholas brothers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nicholas_Brothers
  5. I have only been to Fragata twice, and neither time did it remotely compare to Lagoa. That' my opinion. As for facilities,Lagoa is superior.
  6. bangkokwhiteparty.com From December 30th to January 1st, the White Party will be held in Bangkok. Can you imagine thousands of shirtless Thai guys, most fresh from months at the gym getting ready, all in one place, dancing their cute butts off? And it's just a hop and a skip across the ocean, and then, well, a few more hops and skips. But would it be worth it? Would those guys have eyes for you? The clear answer is likely to be NO. They are too busy being with their friends, too busy celebrating, and probably too busy looking for another guy who has been to the gym for months. My basis for saying this is my attendance at one White Party in Palm Springs. Even there they had acres of shirtless Asian guys, but cruising seemed to be out. And for an older white guy who hasn't spent months in the gym getting ready*, well, you might just be invisible Anyone have a different experience? *this event being several years ago for me, I had been to the gym a lot. Still, no chopsticks!
  7. So there are hot guys everywhere. How does it help you? Being lucky to have seen Tomcal operate in a Brazilian sauna, I can say that those hot guys might not give you the time of day, yet they will give Tomcal their whole watch. He is not, for one, shy. He doesn't hang against the wall, hoping Mr. Hot will nod at him. He doesn't let the good one get away. How does he do this? It's a combination of charisma, some horniness, no doubt, but mostly he conveys not only an interest in a guy, but the clear promise of a good time. That helps a lot! A guy thinks he might not only have fun, but when he sees multiple guys sitting at a table with Tomcal when he is by himself, he might want in on whatever Tomcal has to offer. It's not going to be boredom. And once that table of guys starts to build, well, you might want to sit there yourself! He can't have all of those guys...can he? But having watched Tomcal in action, I am no Tomcal. I can't do what he does. Sure, I may be way better looking...:)
  8. Can you define "better?" What makes a night (or a sauna) better for you may not for another. Is it an abundance of twinks, men of color, or just the one guy who would rock your boat if you knew he was there? Is it a big crowd of customers, or an oversupply of muscle guys? One really horny guy or two so-so? It goes on...
  9. Your piss has a language that you learn throughout your life, but some doctors take it to a higher level, finding stories that your piss tells that could save your life. As we mature, we realize that piss is just not only for spraying on your friends, but maintaining healthy balance in your body. The Washington Post today offers explanations from a doctor who fell in love with piss in med school: https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/learning-to-love-the-secret-language-of-urine/2016/11/22/f9c09914-adac-11e6-a31b-4b6397e625d0_story.html?hpid=hp_no-name_opinion-card-f%3Ahomepage%2Fstory&utm_term=.fe18d6dcee3a
  10. marcanthony- you caught that didn't you? Here's Garrett!
  11. That is a great fare from the east coast. Have a good flight.
  12. www.justfly.com is listing a multiple of airlines offering fares of $244 ROUND-TRIP from Los Angeles to Bangkok in January. Fares never before seen on these routes could make it possible for you to see Bangkok and the famous Bangkok temples for very little dough. Once you get there, food is cheap and plentiful. Hotel rates are a far cry from what they are here. Nice hotels can easily be had for under $100 a night. So, just fly!
  13. I have never heard of phone theft in the saunas. Sure, it's possible, but a guy would lose his job if caught.
  14. If you are watching the Thanksgiving Day Parade, you just saw a performance by the cast of Hairspray Live, to air on NBC on December 7th. If you liked that preview as much as I did, then it becomes must see TV on NBC! The sett looks great, the choreography superb, and the cast is fantastic, starting with Harvey Fierstein again playing Edna Turnblad. Link Larkin is played by Garrett Clayton, the handsome young star of King Cobra, where he played Brent Corrigan, a former male escort. Sexy Derek Hough is in the cast as well, looking younger than he has in years. He plays Corny Collins. Rosie, Martin Short. and Andrea Martin are other well-known cast members. No Veronica Lake, but Tracy Turnblad seems adequately covered by Maddie Baillio. I enjoyed Hairspray on Broadway when a friend and I fought deep snow drifts to get to the theater. We were rewarded with good seats as many Broadway fans couldn't get in to Manhattan. It's going to be a lot easier to see it on TV!
  15. So my new computer is up and running. I checked the cookies, and so many of the old standbys are back, I will stop deleting them. Twitter was not only back, but was included in my start-up menu. Thanks, Dell. I don't want it. No cookie form the one that wants to lower my pant, oops, bills. But Toyota had 2 cookies on there, and I had not visited any site related to them. Generally cookies don't bother me unless they are going to follow me around the internet. That's not nice! These might be better!
  16. Thanks, Kevin C. I have just been checking AA.com, since we always fly American. The prices I quoted are for next summer. AA has moved their newer planes to other routes, so Rio is getting the old ones. Naturally that costs more!
  17. Acapulco. I used to love the place, and the college guys who came down from Mexico City. But I'd rather like to keep my head, so no more Acapulco. Beautiful place, though.
  18. A year ago had I purchased tickets for now, they would have been a good investment. A year from now I imagine Hamilton will have lost a little steam, but those folks who paid $449 and up will still be happy...I hope.
  19. It was just a question, not a judgment. I was truly curious why you paid the way that you did. But I see your point about not wanting to get into the conflicts about what is adequate pay. Your statement that everybody got what they wanted sums it up.
  20. Was there much activity surrounding Black Awareness Day, or did the sign take care of it? I am glad to see that you posted it here too.
  21. Well, Bobbalino, it's a good account, truncated or not. But if the pay is just peanuts to you, it isn't to the workers. So why not spread the wealth, especially as they both worked so hard?
  22. Would the guy have to use complete words? I mean if he says Engl when he means English, does it count as English? If you say Prtgs and he doesn't know that you mean to say Portuguese, will that mean a deduction from his pay? Why can't you just say what you mean without abbreviation? Is it that hard? I've been doing it all of my life and it's no burden. And are you going to pay him in res or reais? Could make a difference!
  23. We see what we want to see...to a point. When the economy falls all around us, we'll see that whether we want to or not. And when the nukes start flying, I doubt people will confuse them with hummingbirds.
  24. Okay. I will bite. What is Dropbox and what do you need to pay $10 a month for?
