Picked her up in the middle of the road on Wednesday night. Two seconds later she would have been run over for sure (I happened to notice her because I was on foot). Vet says she's about two months old and has got a bad case of the flu. Eyes and nose were covered in discharge and she couldn't see and had lost her sense of smell. She's been at the vet three days now and my kind, handsome and very rugged East Malaysian vet called me this morning to tell me that he's had to feed her by hand as she couldn't see and smell the food. That she's eating is a good sign. Sadly, he's not very confident that she'll regain her eyesight. I'm sad for her but this means I'll just have to love her - and my vet - even more. Right now all I can do is pray and provide her with the best care possible. I had a lovely cat with degenerative ocular disease when I found her who went completely blind but lived to fifteen years old. She lived a long, good life and got along well with the others.
