My cousin, a senior, has to write a paper on a truly American song. I know there are tons of options out there but I would love to know what others think is THE best American song.

Over the last 2 weeks, I got a bit stressed at all the posting when Daddy's site was down and to be honest, Steven's posts irked me the wrong way from the very beginning. However, no matter how much someone usually irks me, I rarely let it get to me the way I did with Steven. I would like to apologize to him and to the community for setting him on a 2 week ban. It was not the right action. Lets just say I had my period that day and after a few days of thinking on it, I said to myself, "what the fuck?" Helping the admins of this site to moderate the forums is usually the easiest job on earth as we rarely if ever need anything moderated. However, sometimes we make mistakes and I made one last week. My sincere apologies to Steven for being so short tempered and my apologies to this community for letting anyone get under my skin so much that it affected the site's morale.

While this saddens me a great deal, I do hope that this gets America to thinking more about mental issues and depression. This is a real illness that should not be swept under the rug and we have done that for way too long. It is real and the results are often heartbreaking. It has been interesting to read the posts on Facebook and Twitter as a good deal of Americans are now professional psychiatrists. If he had died of cancer would there be the vast number of amateur oncologists out there? I think not. Depression is real and it is a sickness and it should be treated as such by health care professionals and insurance companies. I mean no disrespect at all in any of this. I loved his work and still think he is a man full of wonder and magic. I just wish the USA would stop treating mental issues and depression as something to be swept under the run and not discussed.

I have no desire to get married. I mean, I am OK with the idea as long as my hubby allows me to "explore" other options from time to time without getting upset, angry, divorce, etc.

I agree that it is the best season since the evil Doctor took the season by storm. However, I don't really like the gay guy. I want to. I know I should. But, he gets on my nerves to no end and think he is so fucking fake. I do think the girls this season are the stupidest I have ever seen and I have never missed a season. They are so gullible. Who do you think will win the season?

I love Zach. I hope he makes up with the gay guy! I was impressed that he won the competition all alone. But, IMHO, that was rigged that way for a reason.

However, I do now feel that he does not wish to participate after than ban was to be lifted and that is OK with me too. Members may use the above link to ban those that the admin do not feel rise to the level of them taking action on their own. It was also made clear that when an Admin feels someone rises to that level they will go without discussion. Agree or disagree. That is life. And, life goes on. This will be my first and last post on the subject.

Odd that you say this as the VAST majority of complaints have been against YOU. Not someone else. And, i am not just saying one or two or three. I am using the word VAST as I am an English major and understand the importance of words. Good moderation is actually not kicking someone off that seems to have so many enemies of long time posters. That is restraint. You pick and poke consistently and then cry wolf when the admins do not agree with you. I am frankly done trying to play middle man between you and the majority. I have sided very heavily toward you in most decisions trying to bring about peace. But, you do not want that. You want your will to be the law of the land. Forget about it as it ain't going to happen. (yes, I used the word ain't and English major in the same passage)

Not sure, what does: "Talk is cheap" have to do with constructive criticism?
