It is the same interior except the rooms I think are a bit larger, the prices a bit cheaper and it is walking distance to a major mall. I didn't stay there this trip as I wanted a different location but I'll be there the next trip. I really like the place and I really liked the Marriott on Sathorn as well. They are very well run properties. But, in Bangkok it is easy to find good long stay apartments.

I have little sympathy for those that are closeted but preach something different and this includes politicians and clergy. I went there this week and they are really very nice. The rates on the website are very reasonable. The breakfast is good and the apartments themselves are well done and clean and modern. The gym is decent and has all equipment needed. It is a short 8 minute walk to Emporium Shopping and they have a Tuk Tuk to take you at your convenience until 10PM each night. I stayed at the Marriott apartments on Sathorn for a year and loved it. This is the same quality but a bit newer. Lots of restaurants and eateries in the area. You will get a very reasonable long stay rate at this hotel.

I keep looking at place and the rates are crazy in Rio and Sao Paulo. But, I would love to find a long term place in one of those cities are in Porto Alegre but not speaking the language, I am limited to where I can look. Then, they find out you are American and they want more. So, where are the best places to look to find a place?

There is simply no comparison. The burgers at Corner were once very good. I went there often to enjoy them. The quality went down a great deal and the last 3 times I had burgers there, I didn't finish the burger. Bangkok Burger Company is a real restaurant and not a bar that serves burgers to customers. When Thomas is there, Corner bar does a great job, when he is not, the food is not up to even OK quality. IMHO

Thank you so much for the recommendation. I cannot tell you how many times I've tried to become a wine connoisseur. I guess if I were into better food, I might enjoy wine more. I don't think wine will go to McDonald's or Burger King. That being said, I do like to cook and I do like to experiment. And I am always offered wine and champagne when I fly. From now on, I'm going to say yes every time I'm asked if I would like a glass of wine. This would at least get me started in knowing what I like and what I don't like.
