Probably not on the mind of many here but one story that has made headlines in my part of the world is the case of Mikhail Pletnev. I know him and many of the people involved in this case. I have said since day 1 that he was not guilt of the charges but in Thailand, they normally try to get you to pay cash to not go to trial. He refused and fought the system. He finally won but his reputation has been destroyed in the process. Article: A Thai prosecutor's office has dropped a child molestation charge against acclaimed Russian pianist and conductor Mikhail Pletnev, Pletnev's lawyer said on Tuesday. "No charges will be brought against Pletnev anymore. All the legal procedures are finished towards him. I have received a Thai prosecutor's office's decree," the lawyer said, citing the prosecutor's office of Thai Chon Buri Province as saying. "I am absolutely convinced of my innocence that is why I did not hesitate for a minute about the result of the investigation. Now, when everything is over, I can only say that money was behind the attempts to trump up a case against me," Pletnev said. Pletnev, the Russian National Orchestra (RNO) conductor, was charged with sodomizing a 14-year-old boy in July and could have faced up to 20 years behind bars if he had been found guilty. He persistently denied all charges. During the investigation, the musician had to return to the resort town of Pattaya every 12 days to renew his $9,000 bail. The bail restrictions, which prohibited him from traveling abroad, have been lifted. The Russian musician, who established the RNO in 1990, owns a small piece of property in Pattaya and spends several weeks there each year. Wunderbar and Kaos in Sunee Plaza: New Owners

Gay and Straight mixing? That is almost as bad as Coffee mixed with Vodka. Yuck! Who the hell wants all those breeders next to you? Give me a good all gay place any day of the week. ....unless those that are mixing with the gays are cute straight boys (or girls that bring those boys to the alter). Then, there are exceptions. -

Other English Speaking Guys to Speak to when you Travel
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in The Beer Bar
Thank you. I'll put that into consideration. I have not yet decided if I'll find a place year round or every 6 weeks in USA and 6 weeks out. But, PV is very close to family and would make things easy. That is a big plus IMHO. HOLY COW BATMAT! I think I could propose to him and just look at him all day. -
Only 21? That is a great number IMHO. I think hard to match that unless one lives in places that offer companions quick and cheap. Living in Thailand part of my year, that includes me. I have yet to go home alone this month and usually with 2 guys per day. I don't have an exact number, but I think it is around 100 guys with most of that in the past few months. I had a long term boyfriend which I ended our relationship with several months back. If I were still with him, that number would be about 80 guys less. But, when I end a relationship, I tend to try to jump in the sack as much as possible in order to try to "get over" the pain associated with the breakup. This breakup was particularly hard as he has been with me for 7 years. I honestly thought he was THE ONE. Found out differently. Same story, different year.

The below article would be great for those of us that travel a great deal. Article: After expanding its streaming service into Canada, it seems Netflix is looking elsewhere internationally to build its business. Speaking to the CBC last week, Netflix spokesman Steve Swasey said the company is "talking about other regions in the world." He went on to tell the publication that Netflix is planning to "continue our international expansion next year." He also told the CBC that the company will "allocate significant dollars to it." Even more potential evidence of Netflix expanding internationally was revealed today when AdWeek cited unnamed sources that claim Netflix is working with "advertising and media agencies" around the world to determine ad placement. The report claims that those talks are currently "exploratory" in nature, but indicate that Netflix is getting serious about expanding the availability of its streaming offering. As Netflix expands internationally, the company is leaving its DVD-by-mail service in its wake. In October, Netflix CEO Reed Hastings echoed that sentiment, saying that the focus of his company is changing. He also acknowledged at the time that he was looking outside of North America to expand Netflix's streaming operation. "By every measure, we are now primarily a streaming company that also offers DVD-by-mail," Hastings said in a statement accompanying his company's third-quarter financial results. "At the same time, the introduction of our streaming offering in Canada in late September has provided us with very encouraging signs regarding the potential for the Netflix service internationally." Hastings didn't say how popular its streaming offering is in Canada. However, Swasey told the CBC last week that the company plans on being profitable in that country by the one-year anniversary of its Canadian launch in September. Expanding internationally seems like the next logical step for Netflix as it attempts to become the go-to streaming company service on different devices. However, it won't necessarily be met with open arms. In Europe, for example, Netflix will be forced to compete with Lovefilm. That company currently caters to customers across the U.K., Sweden, Germany, and other countries. Aside from its by-mail service, the company has a streaming service like Netflix's. That offering is available on the PC and on Sony's PlayStation 3. Regardless, Netflix has no other choice but to expand if it wants to see its streaming service continue to grow in leaps and bounds. But it should be interesting to see if it can maintain its winning streak. Read more: http://news.cnet.com/8301-13506_3-20026717-17.html#ixzz19SNF2Gkn

Thank you! I do appreciate that. There is really no comparison. Brazil wins hands down for enjoyment and adventure. I know that is not what many would expect but it is the truth. I have always had great fun in Pattaya and Bangkok and Chiang Mai and when I am in LOS, I love my time here. But, the Brazilian boys and attitude are much more to my liking. The difference I will say is cost. The cost to live in Pattaya is cheap compared to the cost in say Porto Alegre which I could really enjoy living in. Pattaya also has a great deal number of expats which is a big plus and while in Porto Alegre, (for the gay scene and the sauna scene) I was often the only foreigner in the places. Like most cities in Brazil, Porto Alegre has tons of American businessmen there to do work. But, for the most part they are not in the saunas or the bars.

The Greyson kid reminds me of that group of British boys that did the X Factor contest this year. Wunderbar and Kaos in Sunee Plaza: New Owners
TotallyOz replied to TotallyOz's topic in Gay Thailand
Now, now. HeyGay. You are the scoop master. You know everything about everything. Let me just test you on this one. Are you 100 percent sure that All of Me is a Go Go Bar? Before you answer, I do know the answer to this question. So, this is going to test your scoopability. -
I voted for number 4. I wish you luck with this.

I have wanted to attend for years. If I am in the USA during this time, I'll be there!
-
Ty, I am sorry, but I don't even think you can handle an Oscar Myer hot dog. This boy is much more fit for my dinner.
-
Who doesn't like soft warm buns?
-
Jomtien, you are a man of so few words. NOT Please tell me more about this place. Have you used it?
-
I have mentioned several times how wonderful this ladies burgers are. Her Bacon Cheeseburger is divine. IMHO, she how has the best burger in Pattaya. She is right across from Famous Bar as you enter Sunee Plaza. She is friendly and fun to chat with. This is one place that is excellent and inexpensive if you are looking for a quick bite to eat!
-
I was having a bite to eat last night and was across the street and could not even hear myself think. There is a new Arab bar (sorry if that is politically incorrect) across the street and the music kept me from even being able to make a phone call. Why are all these new places in Sunee throwing their music up so loud? Is that legal? Is it allowed?

I plan to be just as active a poster on this site as I have always been. There is no other site that I want to check every day before I have my coffee!

I am thinking of getting a Tropical Fish Tank for my place. I found this great article but also, I am looking for places in Pattaya. Any suggestions? We have been asked several times for a list of easy to keep saltwater aquarium fish. We will gladly provide you with some ideas here, BUT we also want to make sure you know how to select healthy and sustainable fish from your local store. The process of purchasing fish that will live starts with you and your knowledge of what a healthy fish looks like and what to avoid. We cannot stress enough that you go to a reputable fish store. If you are new to the hobby or are not sure about your store then do a little research online. Also, some general observations and common sense will help you to determine if you should be shopping at a certain store or not. When you enter the store you should not see dead fish floating, EVER. There really is no excuse for this in a store. Yes all stores do suffer loses but they need to be removed immediately. The store should not smell horrible, this is a great indication that something (or a lot of somethings) is going wrong. Dead things rot... And finally, the tanks should be clean. If you see a lot of old food and waste in the water or glass that looks like it has not been cleaned in weeks then you know you are in the wrong place. In order to properly choose a healthy fish you really need to know a few basics about that species. Please take the time to understand what a healthy species looks like. You should be familiar with the colors and behaviors of the fish. Take time to look at the fish in the store. Look at the colors of the fish, they should be bright and healthy looking. The fish should be alert and active according to its normal behaviors. Watch the swimming pattern of the fish, does it have any trouble swimming? Check both eyes that they are not damaged and not cloudy. We also recommend that you ask the store to feed the fish. This REALLY tells you a lot about the fish. Do not be afraid to ask this question. Reputable stores will gladly show you that their fish are healthy and they will assume that you are a knowledgeable and responsible hobbyist, which means you are (or will be) a good customer! Here is a quick run down of some easy to keep saltwater aquarium fish that you should consider if you want an easy to keep and low maintenance aquarium. Clownfish: These members of the Damsel fish family are very popular. They can get a little aggressive, especially the larger species. Percula Clowns are the most popular and best options. Firefish: This is an easy to keep fish if it is properly acclimated and you only keep 1 firefish per tank. They are aggressive only to each other. Damel Fish: Probably one of the first fish that most people keep. They are extremely hardy. The downside is that they are often aggressive and the colors of many fade with age. Goby: Most gobies are both peaceful and easy to keep. Many of the sand-sifting species are fun to watch and help to keep the sand clean. Lionfish: Only appropriate for a large marine tank. Also be aware that they are venomous, so handle with care. It will be the biggest bee sting of your life! Yellow Tangs: Provided you have a tank of 60g or more a Yellow Tang can be a great selection. They will help with keeping many types of algae in check. Be aware that Tangs do require a lot of food. Supplement their diet with seaweed sheets or romaine lettuce daily. The last and most important part of successfully keeping your new purchase alive is acclimation. We cannot stress this part enough as it might just be the most critical part of the entire process. Your fish will be stressed out in its bag and we need to do everything we can to keep it calm and prevent further stress. Abrupt water chemistry changes can kill your fish. Every aquarium is different and has small to even large water chemistry differences. This is why we need to acclimate fish to your tank water. We like to use a bucket or a large bowl. Do not use anything with metal in it. Open the fish bag and put the fish and the water into the bucket and slowly start to add water from your fish tank into the bucket. We like to use a small coffee mug or something of similar size for this. About every 5-10 minutes add another cup of aquarium water to the bucket. Do this until you have 3 parts aquarium water to 1 part fish bag water. This should take at least 30 minutes. Now use a net, or your hands and carefully put the fish into the aquarium. Never add water from a store to your home aquarium. It could contain parasites. This should help you be successful in keeping your saltwater aquarium fish alive and make the hobby easier and more enjoyable. http://www.tropicalfishresource.com/saltwaterfish.html We have over 20 years of experience keeping and studying tropical fish. We travel all over the world researching and documenting different species in the wild. Our goal is to educate people about the sustainability of the tropical fish hobby and how keeping tropical fish can impact the environment. http://www.tropicalfishresource.com/index.html Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Kirt_Herronen

I will no longer be a Moderator. I don't know what retaining that status would do if I am not going to assist. So, no I won't be a status Moderator either. It is time to play and have fun and look for a new number 1 boy.

Continuation of Pissing Contest Set to Invisible

I can attest for HeyGay being the funniest, sexiest farang in Thailand. But, if someone believes me on that, all my credibility is now lost forever. I have never really cared what happens on all the other boards. Each board is great and has its own personality. When people keep bringing up posters on other boards, I scratch my head (almost bald now) and say, "why?" -

Do you really go to beer bars only for hot boys in that bar? Or, do you go to chat with friends, see the boys walking on the street? What is your motivation for going into a beer bar? I will agree with you that when I walked by the boys are not my type. Most are feminine that I saw last night. But, I would still go to the bar and hang out and have a few drinks. In my opinion, the only beer bar in Sunee that has real men, masculine and handsome, is Duc's Bar. He has cornered the market on Alpha males. -
