We are almost at the end of the year and this forum had a name change to Lucky's Place this year in order to honor Lucky and his hard work to try to get the forum more active. I think he has done an excellent job and it is much appreciated. TY and I will reserve the right to change the name from time to time to honor someone or for any other reason but we have not decided on if we are going to change the name back to our old name or a new one. Lucky had one idea which I really liked which is to call it Hooboy's Place. Since Hoo was the founder of the escort review movement and his site is no longer in existence, I liked the idea to name it for him. Anyone else have a suggestion?

I have a friend, my age or a bit older, that is considering moving to Atlanta. He went to see a few condos this last week and he liked a few and he made an offer on one. As I'll be visiting him, I'd like to know how the gay scene is in Atlanta? Also, for someone moving there, is it easy to get around? Public transportation? He looked at a place right downtown and said there was a metro that goes straight to the airport. It has been years since I was in Atlanta for a long stay and hope others can share some insight!

If you are traveling to Thailand and you get to the airport and need a car to your hotel, do NOT use the service inside the airport. They are Taxi Mafia and they overcharge. Go outside and get a meter taxi or go up to the departure gate and get an even cheaper ride into the city. The AOT is the only service allowed to advertise inside the airport and they suck. Be leery of them!

I have been in Thailand a great deal this year and I think one of the reasons I really like it is that I have lots of American friends here. While that is not the main reason I am here, it is nice. When I travel to Brazil, I am often alone and don't know that many people and find that I hang out more with Brazilians than anyone. In thinking of a place to retire to and how I would like to live my life, I have decided that one criteria for a new place will be the availability of like minded American's to chat with. For those that plan to retire abroad, is this a major consideration for you or have you given it much thought? Several of you have been to Columbia, did you see an expat community there? What about in Prague?

I went with a guy to night that was adorable. He was early 20's, very Emo looking and for a Thai guy, very light skinned. I was in Oud's cafe the other night and chatted with the new owner of Wunderbar. They had just purchased it that day and were taking charge that night. The new owners are American's and their boyfriends are going to run the bar. The new name will be All of Me. Good luck All of Me! My main desire in a phone is a good camera. The Nokia N8 has a 12MP camera with a great flash and good lens. The IPhone 4 has a 5MP camera and much improved over latest versions. I would not have considered getting anything but the IPhone as I love Apple but since I have an IPad, I find the need for dual applications is not needed and I will now choose my next phone based on the camera. Anyone have the Nokia N8? How do you like it? Other recommendations on good camera phones? Thanks!

Having lots of young children in my family I shop for Xmas I love being able to be abroad and use Amazon.com. I can place an order today and it gets there in 2 days and free shipping. The other great thing is they can all create wish lists of things they want and I can go online to see them and pick what I want to send. Then, I have Amazon wrap it and attach a card. It takes the pain out of Xmas shopping each year!
