Great show. But, how serious could this be? A take over of the white house? Come on. That is almost as ludicrous as someone who is the head of a major exchange stealing billions of dollars.

It is looking like I'll be in USA for this time frame and I'll try to fly down. Should I bring someone with me or any recommendations on local talent?

The flight to LA was hell. Long flight and the NWA flight from Bkk to Tokyo was horrible. I got into LA and I carried my bike I rode in the TourDeThailand.com charity bike ride. It was a nice cannondale bike. I had to get a special taxi for it and all my luggage. I got to the hotel and then went to the bike shop to have it serviced and a tune up before I start preparing for my next adventure. I took it from the bike shop to Starbucks in Marina Del Rey (a very nice area next to the ocean) and walked to the movie with some friends. The bike was in front of the Starbucks. After the movie, I went to get the bike to ride to the hotel and guess what? The bike was gone. It was special as I had ridden it around Thailand. I called the cops who filed a report. They said, "welcome to LA." I said, "Toto, I don't think I am in Thailand anymore."

We had a nice breakfast this morning in which I invited all those who participated in the contest and had over 150 posts. We sat around and enjoyed the morning and some good food. We had a drawing in which one of our waiters/hostess from the hotel picked the name out of a hat. Yes, it was an actual cowboy hat from my wild west days. Lvdkeyes name was drawn and while he was not in attendance, I did speak to him and congratulated him. Thank you to Gaybutton who worked hard to keep the contest tallies and to everyone who participated and posted. I had a great time with this and loved reading so many diverse opinions on many subjects. I hope you all continue to post and keep the board active.

My oh My how a year changes this. The bars in Bangkok have been noticeable slow. There are fewer boys on stage and they seem less happy. There are few customers offing the boys. I went to Dream Boy which is one of the largest bars in Thailand and was the ONLY customer. I sat for 30 min before another customer came in. The owner came onto the microphone and asked that anyone there to please take a boy as times were tough for them. The other bars are about the same. All slower than normal this time of year. That does not mean there are no hot guys in the bars. There are several hotties. But, there is much less boys that in the past years. I think the economy is taking its toll even on the bar boy scene.

Kevin6969 from this site visits there often and is available. He is a super sweet guy. Keep an eye out on this site in the escort travels section. He is definitely worth a visit.

I was just there last week. It can be hit and miss I guess. I showed up at my regular time about 4:30 in the afternoon to be greeted by only 3 guys on duty. I was shocked as I usually have a whole slew to choose from. None of them caught my fancy and I left. The manager said he was not sure why no boys came that day, but they didn't.

When President Bush vowed to "smoke 'em out" in the chase for Osama bin Laden -- who his administration claimed to be America's greatest enemy -- he meant it in the Wild West sense, not the California sense. Who'd have thought that by the time his predecessor took office, otherwise conservative officials would be considering another way of smoking out a new and growing threat to American's safety: Mexican drug cartels, whose profits are largely derived from the illegal smuggling and sale of marijuana. On Friday, Democrat Terry Goddard, Arizona's Attorney General, said that while he's not in favor or legalizing marijuana, he thinks it should be debated as a way of curbing violence in the increasingly deadly clashes between Mexico's gangs. Speaking to CNN's Kiran Chetry about the firearms trade between the US and Mexico, he noted that almost all the guns seized in Mexico's drug war came from the US. "This is the source," he said. "This is the gun store for a great deal of the world." "What's the answer?" asked Chetry. "There'd have to be a variety of answers," he said. "But one of 'em would be to enforce our laws more aggressively." Goddard said he believes new firearm purchasing requirements could be key in helping stop what's called "straw buying," or purchasing a weapon with no intent of actually owning it and instead turning it over to a criminal for a fee. "If we could isolate those, we'd find a lot of the criminals," he suggested. "The entire trade, of course, is fueled by the selling and buying of drugs," said Chetry. "There are some who make the case, including a former deputy foreign minister of Mexico who now works for the Brookings Institution -- somebody by the name of Andres Rosenthal -- who says maybe we need to rethink our drug laws." Rosenthal is one of a growing chorus of former Latin American leaders who have voiced support for the legalization of marijuana. "He says, 'As with the repeal of prohibition, the US must follow a common-sense approach by thinking the unthinkable: The gradual legalization of some drugs. The US must realize that all drugs are not created equal,'" said Chetry. "They go on to say that marijuana, maybe some methamphetamines, do not have the same harmful effects and legalization might make a difference. Do you agree?" "Well, I don't," said Goddard. "But I do think the debate needs to go forward. We need to find a better way to handle ... Right now, the item that's fueling the violent cartels, the murders in Mexico, the cartel wars that are going on right now that have resulted in over 1,000 deaths this year, I think we need to take a very aggressive stand on that and marijuana is the number one producer for the cartels. Sixty to 70 percent of their gross profits comes from marijuana. So, I think we need to look very hard at something we haven't looked at for years." "So, that lends some credence to the argument ... Of legalization," said Chetry. "It's certainly is a strong argument for getting that debate front and center and finding whatever options we might have to cut off the detestation in Mexico," said Goddard. "What we fear here on the Arizona border is the cartel on cartel battle is going to end up spreading across the border. "If we can't stop it in Mexico, we're gonna end up with violence in the United States and none of us want that," he concluded. A recent Zogby poll found 44 percent of Americans support the legalization of marijuana. That figure is up from 34 percent in 2001, according to a USA Today-CNN-Gallup poll. On Tuesday, President Obama's Attorney General announced that the federal government would not conduct police raids on marijuana dispensaries in states which have approved cannabis for medicinal purposes. http://rawstory.com/news/2008/Arizona_AG_M...e_way_0227.html

I had hoped to see this on my quick visit to Las Vegas but they were not in stock yet. I have been told that they are in the stores. The new laptop comes with the possibility of a whopping 8GB of Ram. That is double the Imac capacity and most other laptops. It also comes with an optional solid state drive. Has anyone used one of these drives before? Is there a noticeable difference to you? Is it worth the extra money? If anyone gets on of these bad asses, please let me know what you think.

The newest version of Safari is out and in Beta. I have been playing with it for a day and love it. It has some really cool design features and it is easy to use. I really love the new tabs and Top Sites features. It is supposed to improve on speed as well but I haven't noticed anything on that end. But, the new look and feel is great. For you Mac guys out there, give it a try.

Every week there is a Stripper show at Meo Mundo Sauna, usually headlined by a well known local drag queen. Usually between 6 - 8 strippers who are not guys working at the sauna. They do appear at the end of the show naked and hard! Attached are some pics that shows the guys. While these guys do not "work" at the sauna they are performing at that night, It's been my experience that they can be talked into a meeting at your hotel later!

Just voted for you. Good luck. I see you have 23 votes now. Lets get that number higher guys.

This is my old stomping grounds. Sad you didn't do well there. It is a very conservative place and many of the guys that escort doing it by word of mouth as most of the customers are married men.

From Towleroad: In my online travels I ran across this kitschy take on Noah's Ark yesterday on Flickr and was momentarily stunned by the gayness of it all. 'Noah's Gay Wedding Cruise', which artist Paul Richmond created for a gallery show called “Sweet & Low: Optimism in a Pessimistic Age†at Gallery Arcane in San Francisco, features an iconic cast of characters — Ellen & Portia, Rosie and Kelli, Jack Twist and Ennis del Mar, Bert and Ernie, Elton John and David Furnish as well as penguins and assorted other homo fauna. However, I was much more amused by the range of drowning sinners bobbing about in the flood: a sopped Ann Coulter, Larry Craig clinging to a toilet, Sally Kern, Fred Phelps, and Kenneth Starr. That's Pat Boone's guitar. A 'Yes on 8' supporter. As art it's not really up my alley, but I could certainly appreciate the message. http://www.towleroad.com/2009/02/the-gayes...f-our-time.html

The new planes for the Tokoyo to Bangkok route are the 757 Planes. For those who use business class, these seats suck. They are not the pod seats that were on the old planes, they don't even get close to going all the way down for comfort, there is no individual tv monitor with movie selections and the seat more resembles a Business domestic class seat than it does an international long flight seat. All in all, it looks like NWA will be cutting more and more corners and it looks like the business class seats are part of the cutbacks. I have always been a loyal NWA member and flying over 100,000 miles with them every year for many years. The cost for the business class seat is prohibitive and the Thai Air nonstop is much more comfortable and the Premium economy is just as comfortable as the new Tokoyo to Bangkok route. Before you book a ticket, check out which plane you are going to be on. When I looked, the fares are the same and they don't tell you that the seats have changed.

FAIRFAX, Va. - George Mason University senior Ryan Allen dresses in drag and doesn’t mind being called a queen — homecoming queen, to be exact. Allen, who is gay and performs in drag at nightclubs in the region, said he entered the homecoming contest as a joke, competing as Reann Ballslee, his drag queen persona. But he considers the victory one of his happiest moments and proof that the suburban Washington, D.C., school famous for its run to the Final Four a few years back celebrates its diverse student body. “I was very touched by how Mason was so supportive through the whole process of allowing a boy in a dress to run for homecoming queen,†Allen said in a phone interview. “It says a lot about the campus that not only do we have diversity but we celebrate it.†The senior from Virginia’s Goochland County won the pageant Saturday at a sold-out Homecoming basketball game against Northeastern University. Large portions of the crowd cheered as Allen, wearing a gold-sequined top, accepted the tiara and the Ms. Mason 2009 sash. The school, known for racial diversity and a basketball team that pulled off a string of upsets to advance to the Final Four in 2006, was selected the nation’s top “school to watch†in the most recent U.S. News and World Report rankings. Selection draws little reaction Allen’s selection does not appear to have caused much consternation among the school’s 30,000 undergraduate and graduate students. An online article in the student newspaper prompted only two comments, both positive. Alyssa Cordova, an officer with the school’s College Republicans, said she didn’t pay much attention to Allen’s election and is surprised by the media attention it has received. “I just think it’s kind of silly,†she said. Mara Keisling, executive director of the National Center for Transgender Equity and a former adjunct professor at Mason, said the lack of controversy “shows that the students and the George Mason community have a good sense of perspective.†University spokesman Dan Walsch said the school is “very comfortable†with Allen’s selection and the contest rules are not sex-specific. “It’s just that if you’re a man who runs for Ms., you’ve got to dress the part,†Walsch said. The contest was half talent judging and half voting by the student body. Allen received the most votes but doesn’t know how he scored in the talent competition, in which he performed in zebra-print pants and lip-synched to Britney Spears. He said his drag queen persona is fairly popular and well-known on campus — he has hosted events as Reann for the school’s Pride Week, as well as HIV charity shows and an amateur drag night cabaret. “Reann is very sassy, very silly. She’s an entertainer throughout. She’s not afraid to do a high kick if that’s what it takes,†Allen said. “She’s got a little camp but is not as campy as some queens.†http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/29303880/?gt1=43001

BRITAIN has barred entry to two members of a US church for inciting hatred against gays and others, the government said on the eve of a planned protest by the radical group. The Westboro Baptist Church, based in Kansas, has been planning to stage a protest against a play being put on by a gay youth group in southeast England. But the Home Office, Britain's interior ministry, said Fred Phelps and Shirley Phelps-Roper have been told they cannot travel to Britain because of their views. "The Home Secretary has excluded both Fred Phelps and his daughter Shirley Phelps-Roper from the UK," a spokeswoman told AFP. "These individuals have engaged in unacceptable behaviour by inciting hatred against a number of communities," she said, adding: "They have been notified of their exclusion." On its website, http://www.godhatesfags.com/ the group announces plans to picket a performance of The Laramie Project, about the death of a US man killed for being homosexual, at Queen Mary's College in Basingstoke, southwest of London. "God hates the Queen Mary's College, and the fag-infested UK, England, and all having to do with spreading sodomite lies via 'The Laramie Project', this tacky bit of cheap fag propaganda masquerading as legitimate theatre. "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind; it is abomination. Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith," said the church. Reporting the British ban on its website, the US church added: "God Hates the UK - Land of the Sodomite Damned". The Home Office spokeswoman added that any supporters of the US church trying to enter Britain to join the demonstration would also be refused entry. "Other supporters of Phelps who are identified on entry will be refused on non-conducive grounds under the immigration rules," she said. The move comes a week after Britain refused entry to a far-right Dutch politician, Geert Wilders, accused of inciting anti-Islamic hatred notably in a film which juxtaposes images of the 9/11 attacks and excerpts from the Koran. "The government has made it clear it opposes extremism in all its forms and we will continue to stop those who want to spread extremism, hatred and violent messages in our communities from coming to our country," said the spokeswoman. 'God hates Australia' On Monday, Westboro Baptist Church announced that God sent the bushfires to Victoria to kill the sinners and that church members would picket the national day of mourning. In a statement, the church said: "The guilty Australians will not repent of their national sins of the flesh - (ie sodomy, divorce, fornication, adultery, etc) - even after God killed hundreds in the fires and cast them into hotter fire and brimstone in Hell. Therefore we will picket them in their hypocritical grief." The statement, entitled "God hates Australia. Thank god for fiery deaths of hundreds", comes as thousands of Victorians are expected to gather in Melbourne and a string of bushfire-scorched townships as part of the national day of mourning for victims of the bushfires, which killed at least 208 people and destroyed more than 1800 homes. http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story...1-12377,00.html

In late December the United Nations General Assembly held a symbolic vote on a statement calling for the universal decriminalization of homosexuality. France spearheaded the resolution, which was a 13 point declaration "to ensure that sexual orientation or gender identity may under no circumstances be the basis for criminal penalties, in particular executions, arrests or detention." The statement received 60 votes in support, mostly from Europe and South America. Opposing the resolution, were the United States, the Holy See, and members of the Organization of the Islamic Conference. At the time, the Bush administration couched its objection to the measure in legal technicalities. Well, that was then. This is now: At the so-called "Durban Review Conference" on racism and xenophonia underway in Geneva, Europe again put forward language condemning “all forms of discrimination and all other human rights violations based on sexual orientation.†According to UN Watch, "The Czech Republic on behalf of the E.U., with the support of New Zealand, the United States, Colombia, Chili on behalf of the South American states, the Netherlands, Argentina and a few others, took the floor in support." (emphasis mine). The efforts to include language on discrimination based on sexual orientation ended up failing for lack of support from non-western countries. Still, it's relieving to see that the United States is now back on the side of the enlightened on this issue of basic human rights. http://www.undispatch.com/node/7729
