billyhouston got a reaction from aaroninatl in Chiang Mai Crop Burning Still Putting Off TouristsHere in Chiang Mai we run Air Purifiers for 24 hours a day in the bedrooms and they handle the pollution in a satisfactory manner. The main part of the house has far to many openings and one way is to wear PM2.5 masks there. Exercising outdoors during the high pollution season is very difficult since a PM2.5 mask is very restrictive by its very nature

billyhouston reacted to mauRICE in Cruising areasThank god for that. Having been to both Phuket and Pattaya recently and seen the physical state of many farang, I'm surprised the Thai authorities haven't made the wearing of the burqa mandatory at Thai beaches. As for the lumpy farang women getting away with being topless, I guess the authorities simply assumed no-one would want to look because, trust me, once seen it cannot be unseen! 🤒🤢

billyhouston reacted to musgrave in Adam's Apple ClubI was at Adam Apple Friday night to help celebrate their 35th Anniversary - being a regular there over the past 8 years and knowing most of the boys i would dispute the statement that most of the boys are offenders. There have been miscreants over the years true - one i know peddling drugs , another vehicle theft . Its a fact the boys know each other past and present

billyhouston got a reaction from vinapu in Chiang Mai Crop Burning Still Putting Off TouristsThis is my first experience of Songkran and the pollution in Chiang Mai, around that time.
I expect that, in future years, we will move away for a couple of months, as a now deceased Kiwi friend of mine did.

billyhouston got a reaction from Londoner in End of House of Male SaunaWhilst walking past, yesterday, I saw a sign noting that the Lotus Hotel, on Soi Viangbua, was for sale. I don't know whether this is particularly new, but I hadn't seen it before. Adam's Apple was its usual self but, with low season, the place was not crowded.

Despite trying to maintain a heart as cold as ice when dealing with MBs, hearing something like this would definitely put a smile on my face 🤣

billyhouston reacted to ChristianPFC in LibidoCan you elaborate on Testosterone injections? Two friends have good results and do it regularly. I tried (two injections two weeks apart), but no effect. I thought the recommended time is every two weeks, you got it weekly?
The picture you posted is a general blood and urine analysis.

billyhouston reacted to Ruthrieston in Dont move to PattayaFrom my first visit to Pattaya in 1998, then with a group of friends, I had regular holiday trips every year. Then in 2011 I took early retirement and certainly could not afford to continue living in London, so I sold up and moved to live in Pattaya. I have never regretted it, and still enjoy living here. I hardly ever visit the bars now, but I feel comfortable with my quiet life here, live alone with quite a few friends around.

billyhouston reacted to zoomomancs in Hardship storiesHaving been too generous in my early years of visiting I should have listened to the bar boy in Ao Nang who said: 'If we have a good harvest of farang in the high season we eat in the low season'.

billyhouston reacted to Vessey in PhotosSome impressive appendages on show today, but I am going to go for the 'boy-in-a-bath', No 1 as my pick today. Beautiful looking boy with an even more beautiful smile!

billyhouston reacted to Vessey in PhotosAnother good selection, but in this case I can foresee a fight breaking-out amongst some of us for No 1 today 🤣

Even those of us who feel that they are in a loving LTR have to accept reality. Does it matter? Hetero marriages were often financially- arranged until relatively recent times. They still are in some cultures. Mai pen rai.

billyhouston got a reaction from khaolakguy in Flight routesI seek to fly MAN-CNX and since covid have flown via LHR, AMS and CDG. Cathay now seems to be getting its act together once more and I'm hoping to return to MAN - HKG - CNX. The connections in HKG are just over 1 hour each way making for short total flying times. Just at the moment their calendar only extends to 28 Mar 2026 (switch over to Daylight Saving time.) but I would prefer a few days into April. If that doesn't appear, I'll take 28 Mar.
My record from stepping off the plane, having come in from HKG, going through Immigration and customs, where they invariably x-ray one of my bags, and getting to the car is 12 minutes. How I love CNX.

billyhouston got a reaction from 10tazione in LTRs- Thailand, Laos, CambodiaIn the middle of December Thailand opened 'new registrations' for migrants who had no papers. This was an opportunity for illegal migrants to become legal, but I believe registrations closed on 31 December. At the moment 'renewal'' notifications (2 Years) are still open but will close mid-January. The problem for many is that they don't know what is going on and, not speaking Thai or English, need help to fill in the necessary forms. Over the past year, we have had a few arriving in the middle of the night from Shan State who are now registered. There are severe restrictions on the jobs migrants can do and most jobs are reserved for Thai citizens. Basically migrants are allowed to work in construction or in certain types of hospitality employment, jobs which Thais do not wish to do. In Northern Thailand there are thought to be 3 or 4 million migrants, mostly from Shan State.
