Good to read that gay life in Jomtien is still alive! What I find a shame is that in Thailand they announce these kinds of big (pride) events relatively short notice. In Europe, the dates for certain prides are known almost a year in advance. Then you can adjust your travel plans accordingly. But planning a trip to Thailand a month in advance, for example, just because there is a pride event, that just won't work for me, unfortunately.... haha jamiebee 1 Quote
bkkmfj2648 Posted July 8 Author Posted July 8 Hi @emiel1981 welcome back from your usual hibernation. 5 hours ago, emiel1981 said: What I find a shame is that in Thailand they announce these kinds of big (pride) events relatively short notice. This is not true. There is a general rule as follows: Bangkok's pride parade kicks off their pride festivities before the hinterland cities do in Thailand. Generally, the last Saturday/Sunday of May or the first Saturday/Sunday of June is the pride parade in Bangkok. Pattaya city's pride parade is always after Bangkok's pride parade and is usually the last Saturday of June. The only aberration this year was for Jomtien - as its pride parade and pride night festivities are usually held on the 2nd Saturday of June - but due to funding issues by one of the major sponsors (SWING Pattaya) it was postponed (after SWING Pattaya was able to find funding) to the third Saturday of July - with the actual date being Saturday July 18, 2026. Emiel, if you want to catch up on what Pattaya's gay pride of June 2026 was like, there is a specific thread to all of the events that took place at: Emiel, enjoy World Pride 2026 in Amsterdam with the fabulous Canal Parade on August 1, 2026. Thailand has submitted its request to host the World Pride 2030 in Bangkok - but it is in competition with Barcelona - the host city winner will be announced in January 2027. Popular Post mauRICE Posted July 10 Popular Post Posted July 10 I know the guys and gals from Sunee Intimate Bar and M2M Bar (and I'm sure from the other venues too but I'm most familiar with these two from my recent visit) have been working very hard for their special shows next Saturday and I urge everyone in Pattaya and Bangkok to go support them if you can. They may not be world class but from the energy and creativity they put in, I could tell they took a lot of pride in their work and that's something I hadn't seen for a long time in gay-oriented performances in Thailand. Someone would have to stay at least 10 days to be sure of catching Bangkok's Pride Parade, and with Pattaya's being "usually" a visitor could miss it altogether. I realise there is a lot of bureaucracy to go through in order for these Parades to obtain permission. But why they cannot get through the bureaucracy earlier and do as Taipei does by having a fixed date rather beats me. Taipei is always the last Saturday in October which makes planning so much easier - but does mean you have to book flights and hotels in plenty of time as thousands fly in for the Parade and parties. bkkmfj2648 Posted July 15 Author Posted July 15 Here is an update - as of July 15, 2026 regarding the Jomtien Complex, aka Supertown Pride Night scheduled for Saturday July 18, 2026. The positioning of the 2 stages has been revealed - but only in Thai and thanks to my new bowling team they helped me to decipher the positioning of the 2 stages. STAGE 1 - will be positioned between The Palace & Candy Bar - highlighted below in Red encircled in Green. STAGE 2 - will be positioned at the opposite end between Soda Massage and the MV Massage shops - highlighted below in Blue encircled in Purple. These are our best guesses from the clues that have been given The programs for both stages were also announced in Thai, so I had to use the Google Image Translate function. Both the Thai and English versions are shown below: Stage 1 vs. Stage 2 (in Thai) Stage 1 vs. Stage 2 (in English) Stage 2 Program (in Thai) Stage 2 Program (in English) As of today, there is no single program line up posted (that I am aware of) for Stage 1. However, as all of those performances are being coordinated by The Palace bar Diva Mogena - I can provide the below Facebook link where she produced 1 single promotional banner for each single performer at: https://www.facebook.com/100092155943149/posts/950713708010485/?rdid=EoPRW1AOySBaVZPt# Below is the summary from each of those individual promotional banners: The Palace - special show with Diva Mogena Special show presented by the famous Alcazar Special performance by Nadia from Tiffany's Yonce directly from Phuket - special show Miss Yoko - special show Miss Queen POK D&D Mor Lam folk dance with their sexy male dancers Special show from Nin. Mangkorn For the Jomtien Complex Pride Night festivities for 2025 and 2024 - you may remember that a HUGE stage was constructed in the empty space in front of The Venue Hotel & Cabaret - which I really liked. Due to sound logistical issues and with the huge Diva lineup being organized by the one and only Diva Mogena from The Palace bar - it made more sense to locate the Community Stage (Stage 2) further away to avoid clashes of sound. bkkmfj2648 Posted July 18 Author Posted July 18 Another last minute update is required = the joy of evolving in real time grassroots events. I just completed a walk through of the Jomtien Complex and the construction and assembly of Stage #1 is complete and ready for action. Stage #1 - location and format remains unchanged I then went looking for Stage #2 and I could not find it. I saw the owner of Dick's Cafe and I asked him what happened to Stage #2. He replied that there has been a change from a physical stage to instead be a red carpet walkway on the soi that is directly in front of Dick's Cafe to accommodate the Mr. Sexy Boy show. Stage #2 will now be a Red Carpet walkway in front of Dick's Cafe Stage #2 sexy red carpet runway show at 10pm in support of the HEARTT 2000 foundation https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1Fq61G1f3f/ Jomtien_Pride_Night_promotional_vid.mp4 ichigo, jimmie50 and vinapu 3 Quote

Popular Post bkkmfj2648 Posted July 19 Author Popular Post Posted July 19 And the 2026 Mr. Sexy Boy Jomtien Complex Pride Night winner is: First Place = Mr Apek Wanlob - who I met as the famous bartender in the Candy Bar. Perhaps he now works in the Red Room bar ?? Anyone know? Apek - in the center with the red sash before the gaygudes EDIT button expires - one more tidbit - Mr. Apek also won the Popular Vote award - as all of us spectators (me included) we screamed our loudest at the judges which understood why he is so popular. Also, he received the most garlands. Mr. Apek Overloaded in garlands Second Place = I believe was sexy Mr. Oat from the Burirom Health Massage shop Mr. Oat in the lineup with the many other contestants For Third Place, we will need to wait until someone posts the official list in social media as I did not capture his photo. I had the honor to be accompanied by our very friendly forum member = @Kiwi306 who interrupted his sojourn in Bangkok to join the Jomtien Complex Pride Night festivities. We met over at the Sunee Bar and then we moved over to the Momo-Turn bar to watch the Mr. Sexy Boy contest on the rainbow carpet. We ordered food - which Momo-Turn bar obtains from the nearby Sophia's Thai yummy food bar - which has the famous stir fried chicken with cashew nuts dish that many forum members rave about - I have to agree. @Kiwi306 brought to my attention the back of the Momo-Turn bar staff t-shirts which we both really liked: This was my first time at the Momo-Turn bar and I truly enjoyed their very friendly and professional service and the manager is a very masculine type of guy - I will need to return more often. Overall, this year's Pride Night was a BIG success. At first I did not like the idea of the 2 separate stages (zones) - but when reflecting on how it was organized, I see that it was a good idea. What was nice about this year's event is that the bars that produce shows - had set up teams that performed at various rotating locations throughout the Jomtien Complex - in that way it was great to see the guys outside of their normal bar environments to show off what they do best -and- it allowed us spectators to feel and experience an ongoing continuous set of performances without having to move around much. Below are some random social media postings - as it was impossible to be everywhere at once. The SWING Pattaya team did an amazing job of coordinating the parade, funding, logistics, MC-ing, and educating people on what services they have on offer and HIV / AIDS testing and prevention. A humongous amount of praise needs to be given to Tam Tam Morgena (shown on the left in the above photo) - who tirelessly was the driving force to make this year's Jomtien Pride Night happen - as you may remember that back in late May it was posted that due to a lack of funds it was cancelled. But, once Tam Tam returned from St. Petersburg - she made sure that it would NOT be cancelled and organized it with SWING Pattaya for July 18, 2026 https://thepattayanews.com/2026/07/19/jomtien-complex-lights-up-pattaya-with-colorful-pride-night-2026-celebration/ https://www.facebook.com/reel/1077597387938219 https://www.facebook.com/reel/2517918858729480 https://www.facebook.com/reel/1387990546574365 jimmie50, Mavica, 10tazione and 10 others 12 1 Quote
Popular Post Kiwi306 Posted July 19 Popular Post Posted July 19 Thanks to bkkfmj2648 for being my outgoing host extraordinaire yesterday. I really enjoyed the evening, not least because I had company. It is so much more enjoyable going to a bar with someone else rather than on your ownsome. And he also contributes so generously to the forum. My only disappointment was that, although the complex was fairly busy, I did expect to see a lot more guys there. I know it's low season, but it was a well publicized event. I made a special trip down from Bangkok for the weekend and I am staying at Sansuk for the second time. jimmie50, vinapu, bkkmfj2648 and 5 others 7 1 Quote

I know it's low season, but it was a well publicized event. I made a special trip down from Bangkok for the weekend and I am staying at Sansuk for the second time. I was there only a month ago but made a whirlwind trip for the Pride event as the lovely boys from Sunee Intimate, M2M and Red Room bars had made me promise that I would come. It's funny; I'm not normally drawn to skinny fem guys but I found the Sunee guys sexy maybe because I find work sexy and these guys had worked very hard indeed. In fact all of them had from what I saw last weekend in Supertown - a refreshing change from the all-too-familiar "I want something for nothing" attitude that has become too prevalent at the so-called gay venues in Thailand. The guys were twerking, twisting, thrusting, bending and flapping so vigorously that I was worried some of their limbs would snap. 😅 I agree that the event should have attracted a bigger crowd and it's a pity because I feel Jomtien Complex is underused even though its location, generous space and layout are excellent. It's a far cry from the shanty shacks of the dubious Sunee Plaza and it's got a lot more breathing space than Pattayaland Soi 3. Sadly, July has traditionally been low season in Thailand and understandably not many international tourists would fly in for just one day of festivities. As for the gaynizens from Bangkok and Pattaya, well as a seasoned Thai friend who's been on the scene for a long time put it: "They're jaded and have become too cynical, critical, fussy and difficult to please and expect Dom Perignon for the price of Mont Clair! They're always complaining about how things have changed from 30 years ago but forget that there is now a new generation of guys working with different styles, tastes and cultural influences. Nothing is the same in entertainment compared to 30 years ago and the farang themselves are three decades older but they forget that!" Aint that the truth, I thought. 😅 Lastly, I would like to add a hearty congratulations and give a big squeeze to the lovely Apex of Red Room Bar for winning the popular vote and sexy underwear contest. And many thanks to the adorable JR and his team at Sunee, the large and very talented M2M crew, Red Room Bar for their hospitality and everyone responsible for organising and running the Pride event which I thought was a great success and totally worth my whirlwind trip. See you guys again in December! 🫶 emiel1981, floridarob, Mavica and 7 others 10 Quote

Note #1 how Khun Owen struts his stuff up on the podium 🤪🤩 Note #2 how Khun Apec is ambushed by us spectators before he could even reach the judges podium station - as Apec was given an overwhelming number of garlands from us - his fans. Consequently, in addition to winning the number 1 prize, Apec also won the Popular Vote Award - as demonstrated in the video.
