Unbelievable? I have read countless stories online (and from acquaintances) who have met boys in Thailand, the Phillipines, Brazil, Morocco etc and exchange email addresses or phone numbers. Things start out ok then come the requests for money. Medical emergencies, educational expenses, poor parents, dying grandparents, the rice paddy up north has flooded. The list is by no means exhaustive. I have sympathy for Olddaddy but his situation is just a variation of a theme.

No there is a difference 

The guy ghosted me 👻during my holiday time ,he was too busy 

If in fact he didn't, I would have sent him a Xmas gift of cash.

But he was too busy to meet me ,then waits until I get back to Australia to ask for $$

There's a lesson in these tales. When you meet a truly loyal guy return that loyalty. They met as many butterflies as we meet guys who ghost us.

..... by patronizing him  when there, not by sending him money because he reports he is short of cash unless bond is very strong and one can trust boy that he is really both in need and desperate.

and then of course come situations than being generous is selfish i.e. we will feel good about ourselves that we could afford being generous. When I think about few cases when I sent money (plus bought one phone), including two cases  when boy did not ask, I just learned about his hardship , I invariably recall that I was kind of happy doing that and definitely not  upset with request.

You're not the only one. Many times that I had a good encounter, and I think the boy as well, and I would go out of my way for a repeat but am met with at best indifference. And I don't know what went wrong!

Or I reach out to a boy several times and met with indifference and laziness. And then suddenly a message: "Christian, I miss you, I love you ... and I need money!" Well, sorry, ask whoever you spend all the weeks I tried to meet you with to help you with money.

I rarely send money any more, only cases where the boy has proved reliable and good in bed several times, of which there are only few (boys).

Philippines are on my list of places to go, but not high.

I read and heard about poor safety. All the Pinoy boys I met so far were only average.

@floridarob very true what you wrote. And some of these poorly done circumcisions resemble a turkey's gobble.  If the gobble is not too excessive, then I find it somewhat appealing because I discovered that these types of guys tend to have extra sensitive erotic stimulating nerve endings in the gobble that makes for a more intense edging session.
