Barcelona - Thermas - Weekend in February.

In my recent visits this year, including this month, I never had a discussion about price and paid 50 after the deed, not even a single complaint or argument when I paid. Everyone seemed happy. They usually ask if I have been to the sauna before when I talk to a guy I never talked to before. That might be a reason...but I also know they talk to each other and if I have a good session with someone, his friend always comes to me and becomes a lot more persistent.

Could be that - however in all the past years I saw multiple Thermas guys on Hunqz, and it's always been the case there is a 50e "quickie" Thermas rate and then (usually) the 100-120 "normal" Hunqz rate for an hour, and those guys still maintained that range between the two.

In Barcelona now. Went to Thermas Saturday afternoon and it was packed. Loads of different guys to choose from, but I spent most of my time with Angelo whom I have seen every time I’ve been there. Some of the ‘rooms’ are a little bigger than others-the smaller ones are really quite cramped. 
Love this place. Will go back this afternoon once the overnight Splash party has finished.

If you are coming from and returning to El Prat, there are left luggage facilities in both T1 (24/7) and T2 (0600-2200).  There is also a manned left luggage facility at Sants station (0700-2200) which is quite close to Thermas

There are a few places near thermas you can leave your luggage for 5euros. Just search online and you will get them. You can pay some online or on site by cash or credit card

I asked the manager while there this week. Yes you may store it securely. In fact there is a special passage way they use to submit luggage, shopping, etc through to the reception area. Photo bottom left. Otherwise keep your basics secure in your allocated locker.

The opening hours are not new. Nothing has changed. Non-transactional sex is not forbidden but I highly doubt it’s a popular venue for that crowd due to other bathhouse options. The only difference, in my opinion, is that the selection of trade was much better a decade ago. The most attractive sex worker is TGW and she is permitted to use a client-space locker. I suppose that if I were in Barcelona for long stays and patiently visited Thermas regularly I could cobble together a roster of guys that meet my requirements and can be scheduled. 

I have attended a half dozen times this month so far and only played on two of the occasions. There are other customers that agree that the ‘locked-in’ hook-up charge suppresses the possibility of hotter guys that would show up more regularly for work for a better wage. This was my fourth visit to Barcelona and frequent Thermas visits within a year. I have a substantial amount of unspent Euros I had allocated for play dates.

The Splash parties are infrequent. Whether you are masochistic enough to stay long past the last prostitute has trickled out or not (usually mid evening unless he resides there), be mindful that at a certain point through the night your attendance may be charged again. I think it’s delineated on a sign on the right side of the counter whereas the entrance and room rates are depicted to the left as you face the cashier.

I won’t be back to Barcelona; the love affair is over. The combined cost of flight and lodgings is not worth the poor showing of Thermas options. Otherwise, hiring through ads elsewhere in Europe, my least favourite mode of transactional sex, is no less possible in other destinations. Barcelona used to balance out the repetitiveness of visiting Brazil but no longer does that trick for me.

Also be aware that it’s forbidden to creep up and hug someone from behind due to the potential hazard of knocking down the current seasonal tree.

Finally, some of the clueless guys are huffing ethyl chloride, a sports injury analgesic, spraying it on a towel and inhaling, as a substitute for poppers. It is cool in temp and odourless. If politely offered during a hook-up be aware it is extremely bad for you.

I'll give that a miss: 'It can cause heart rhythm collapse even in healthy people (“sudden sniffing death”).  Risks include loss of consciousness, falls, burns from the cold spray, and long-term brain or nerve damage.'

Very interesting observation and thanks for the review. I do agree that the number of hot guys is not as many as precovid period but for me Barcelona is a short fly away for 20e one way. In fact the same quality decrease is happening at the saunas in Brazil so I actually don't feel like going to Brazil anymore because the flights are expensive but thermas still does the trick for me with many sexy Colombians these days.

And in my recent visit, I was a bit surprised that non working guys were present on Sunday afternoon. It seems like they stayed over from the Saturday party or they had an early Sunday morning party. Do you know what it is? Is it the splash? If so, don't they get kicked out by Sunday afternoon??? I was quite unhappy about their presence because they just keep smoking and making the working guys so confused about who is a customer or who is there for fun. In any case it seems like splash thing certainly reduced the number of working guys on that day, which is a bummer for Sunday, usually a good day to hire at thermas in the past. I would hate it if they keep inviting more non working guys because I doubt many will go to these saunas anymore and give a lot of revenue to the sauna. I just don't want thermas to disappear or lose its uniqueness

Frankly, I’m not aware of the degree of knock-on effects from the Splash parties on the brothel agenda and I’m not sure whether I have even attended on a day where there would be residual crossover. I wouldn’t mind a complete hybrid model as long as there were hotter guys for hire. I wouldn’t expect to be dragged off in cuffs if gently approaching the wrong candidate by mistake. What boggles my mind is that anybody oriented to regular conventional bathhouse attendance would find the free private spaces acceptable. Dark, dank, unhygienic. The janitors are always busy but I don’t know when and how they find an entry point for deep disinfectant cleaning the vinyl mattresses that make up the majority of where action takes place. It would be interesting to compare with one of the other Pases-run venues.
