  1. Haha, I actually made a trip on a rented motorbike once from Siem Reap to Battambang - and back! For many years, foreigners were not allowed to rent a motorbike in Siem Reap (at that time it was possible in Kampot or Sihanoukville but not in SR), but then those rentals appeared in SR too, even though they were more expensive than elsewhere in Cambodia ir Vietnam. Anyway, you don't really need insurance. That trip - SR to Battambang - became one of two occasions in my life when I crashed a bike (another one was on Bali). That crash on the Battambang highway was kinda not too good for the bike - I was fine with some bruises and cuts, but the bike was smashed: the front totally gone, one the brakes smashed, a part of another bike lodged into my engine - that sort of thing. I carefully drove it to Battambang and asked at the hotel for a bike repair shop - got the bike there, and it took them maybe three hours to do everything: new brakes, new everything, new front panel and side panel - they actually looked for identical of the same color (later in SR I returned the bike not mentioning the crash and they didn't notice) - so all those repairs of a pretty major crash cost me 13 (thirteen) dollars. So, you don't really need insurance. (I drove that bike back to SR from Battambang the following day).
  2. Should be fine - hey it's Brazil, nobody would give you 100% assuarances but should be fine - on the way back definitely wait inside until the Uber arrives at the door before heading out, but that's my normal way anywhere in Brazil. I do remember driving in an Uber to this old town sauna from another part of the old town and looking at the sights from the window: or hey this man is actually breaking into somebody's car right this second let's not stop here lol. I usually arrive before 6pm like 5-ish, as 7:30pm is the time some guys may start to trickle out one by one
  3. weather-wise, October is great for both cities as the rain season will have been well over beach-wise, I like Recife more with its long wide beach which you can walk to from your hotel by simply crossing the road. The only downside you can't really swim as it's shark-infested (and it's serious). sights-wise, Salvador has an upper hand as it has an incredible history and an amazingly beautiful old town. Recife has pretty and colonial Olinda in its suburbs too, though - a nice half-day trip. Recife's airport is much closer to the city than Salvador's. The other important consideration is security and safety - Salvador is defo more dangerous and you need to know where you go. Even in the old town, local folks were screaming at us on the street on several occasions: "don't turn right here, perigoso, turn left" GP-wise, Salvador is a bigger city and is considered the capital of the black Brazil - so there goes the prevailing type. A couple of saunas are good. Recife is more diverse but a bit more next-door'ish, but a couple of excellent saunas and I always had good time there. It's a matter of personal preferences - despite Salvador being more historically rich, if I needed to make a choice for myself, I'd choose Recife, but YMMV. If you are talking specifically mid-week rather than mid-October, then Salvador may have an edge as Tuesday night is an incredible night in Salvador with the old town coming alive for a great street fiesta. In Recife, mid-week would be certainly much quieter, with the best sauna nights being Thurs, Fri and Sat - I was shocked to find out that Sunday is a dead day in Recife, even though it's one of the best days elsewhere in Northeast like Fortaleza and Sao Luis
  4. As others said, Iguazu are amazing - though no beach and no GPs. If you want to have both a beach and GPs outside Rio with little hassle, that would be Salvador and especially Recife.
  5. It stopped opening about a month ago or so - dead for now. It was an awesome forum with honest reviews for all escorts in Argentina
  6. I've been once - nice carnival-like fiestas in the old town. not the size of the carnival though. I like sao luis, even though it's clearly getting in a worse shape rapidly
  7. Actually, those "short-time" half-hour offers are fairly common in Spain - and I took upon them from time to time, especially I've seen instances where they don't really differ from dates on normal rates (either because short-term rates run longer, or - more often - normal rates really don't really end up in an hour spent)
  8. understand that. though Spain (outside Barcelona, Madrid and San Sebastian) is amazingly cheap and a great value in Europe
  9. Sorry - just seen this. Andalucia is simply wonderful and actually requires some time. My favorite region in Spain. Seville is amazing, though overrun with tourists. Granada and Alhambra are breathtaking, though you may need to secure Alhambra tickets two months beforehand. Cadiz is different and interesting. I'm simply in love with Jerez that many people miss. And then you just drive around, pop into white villages or town and discover them. Ronda is great but is on a tourist circuit, I really liked Antequera, Zahara de la Sierra is typical Spain, Mijas is a beautiful white village, Estepona is so pretty, Torremolinos is for beaches (as are places beyond Nerja) plus is becoming Spain's gay capital. There is plenty to do in the region.
  10. When I was in Ecuador (Quito) many, many of those Skokka profiles turned out to be fake - I spent time whatsapping, and when I got more real pix they were different, or the guys tried to openly or candidly scam you - I used Skokka in other Latam countries and it was reasonably ine (with precautions), but my experience in Ecuador was not too positive. I even got threatening whatsapp messages (obviously I laughed and blocked them) from some of those profiles after a couple of messages, saying something "this is a cartel, we know you are hunting for guys, we know where you live, pay us money" - they didn't know where I lived or any other details as I never shared them lol so that was never a real threat, but you see the bigger picture which direction it might be going
  11. I've been maybe a year ago - and in my previous visit 12yrs prior it was MUCH more dangerous. Had a great long weekend trip - both in San Salvador, on the beach and ob ruta de las flores. There were two gay bars in San Salvador - literally on the same block, one was legit and had a young crowd, the other one (promising go-go dancers) felt scam-mish. There was one offer online from a decent guy for $50 but I was one the move between mountains and beaches and just didn't have time. Amazing country - I'm not a big fan of Central America (compared to South America) but El Salvador is very good
  12. Hmmm. The IG page mentions boys and suites!
  13. In Spain, Telechapero and Destacamos are widely used locally
  14. I swung by Torremolinos again this past weekend - it's off season, porn stars are still there and good deals abound. Just this weekend, among the porn stars available through different platforms were Ricky Hard, Victor Ferraz, Viktor Rom, Jack Bandit, Tom Storm, Andy Toro, Aday Traun (who actually looks better now than in his past porn days), and some others slightly less known. I hooked up with tho of those for 150e each, and one of them mentioned that the business in off season is not so good, so I guess rates are lower than in Madrid or Barcelona. With the clubs in Torremolinos still putting out events, there is a healthy turnover of pornstars any given weekend, and it could be a nice opportunity. Away from pornstars, I had a wonderful fantastic fit 25yo Cuban in Malaga off the escort sites for 60e - so Malaga and suburbs are not too bad at all.
  15. ah, that's a book club - you both read the same book, then discuss over a cup of tea
  16. WIth regard to SP, I'm no fan of the city - echoing what @davet said, it's tough to love on the first visit, but to me it's been equally tough any subsequent visits as well. What I really love in SP is the Japanese community in Liberdade - generally, Brazil has the biggest Japanese community outside of Japan (larger than in the U.S.), and a lot of them are in SP in Liberdade which is sort of a Japantown. Excellent food, best sushi I tried anywhere outside of Japan, simply incredible. Other than that, some world-class cocktail bars in upscale neighborhoods. But unlike to many others on this forum, SP is not the city I'm rushing to return to in Brazil. Tastes differ of course, yada yada yada.
  17. Brasilia can be done in one full day if you sked a layover in a way that you arrive early morning and depart on a late flight in the evening. I've done exactly that twice - first time as my solo trip, and second time when I showed Brazil (and Brasilia) to my friends. You can comfortably see all the stunning architecture in one full day, other than that there's little to do there and I recall the sauna there to be disappointing. In both visits, I didn't spend a night. Brasilia is a must-see, but more of a layover destination.
  18. I'd agree on the weather - the Baltics could actually be super-nice in the summer that lasts for about 6-7 weeks from July till mid- to end-August. Early June is too early - you can't swim in the sea at that time, so air temperature will also be not exactly Mediterranean. Quite peculiar port of calls too - of these four, Gdansk is the highlight, but it's only daytime for this cruise and the big advantage of Gdansk is enjoying it in the evening/nighttime with all the cute bars, cafes and restaurants. Copenhagen is nice to visit in the daytime - but again, does one need a cruise for that?
  19. I remember that process well underway 10, and 15, and 20 years ago - all young people were intent on leaving the island, usually through foreign partners. As one young guy told me more than 10 years ago, "doesn't matter if you are a boy or a girl, but if you are not totally ugly and by the age of 30 you still didn't leave Cuba, you must be really stupid." And yes, in many cases that partnership with a foreign partner lasted pretty much until a Cuban in question got a passport (or even a permanent residence, but usually they waited for a passport), and then there's a divorce. That was always a cautionary tale for me of a Westerner who found his "eternal love for life" in Cuba, as this "eternal" often meant "until I get a passport" .
  20. I was at the Lab last week - as always, it's excellent and one of the world's most unique experiences, I'd say no other cruising club is like the Lab. The best day is indeed Thursday - it's a naked party. Doors are from 21 till 23 iirc, I came in 20-25 mins before nine and was in at about quarter past, maybe 20 past. You can arrive a bit earlier (recommended in summer) so you can get in straight away. Face control is very liberal, unlike Berghain, and you will be let in unless you are a woman or high/drunk. All sorts of ages, body shapes and behaviors. There were twinks, there were literally 80-year-olds, there were fats, there were muscular guys - everybody's fucking. Friday is a day without a dress code, normally with 2-for-1 drinks, unless it's the first Friday of the month which is a special party called Lab Dance where there are live techno DJs and the people are there equally for music and sex (unlike other days where it's just sex) - it's usually very crowded, about 1,500 people, and if you ask me I'm not a fan of that particular vibe. I've been to a couple of specific parties that are really good. The mask party requires everybody to wear a mask - normally people wear balaclavas which is hot, but I saw puppy masks and even surgical covid masks. I've been to the piss party which is simply excellent with a totally different crowd and vibe, I really liked that one. There's no guarantee that you will be able to fuck with all those hotties, but as the night progresses and some of them do an intake of drugs, more of those hotties become available - and I've seen pension-age guys plough model-looks types who were either in a slutty haze or on GHB.
  21. Could be that - however in all the past years I saw multiple Thermas guys on Hunqz, and it's always been the case there is a 50e "quickie" Thermas rate and then (usually) the 100-120 "normal" Hunqz rate for an hour, and those guys still maintained that range between the two.
  22. That actually could be normal with street trade in these parts of the Mediterranean. That's the average that a guy would ask you at a sex cine in Naples for full sex in a toilet/cabin (could be even 20, or alternatively of course could be as high as 50, but 30 is usual) - same in sex cines (and its surroundings) in Athens too where street trade usual average was just about 30.
  23. I used to go to Rio in November - good weather usually, spring is in the air, and all that lol. That said, a couple of years back I found myself in Rio on the day of the Rio pride. It was interesting, but nothing on the SP scale. Still, it was good to see - but I think they didn't even block the traffic fully, and it was more of a chamber event than a stadium concert) The gay bloco party on Ipanema happening twice - once two weeks before the carnival, and one during it - "Simpatia é quase amor" - is much much better attended, and actually really awesome and totally recommended. It normally draws about 100,000 people partying all throughout Ipanema
  24. Having been to a few Exxtreme parties, I'd disagree on the term "lighter" lol - it's quite intense. On Barcelona, I can't really help as I'm no fan of the city and don't visit often - I just saw notices of some Barcelona parties on Instas of some porn stars. But my impression is that it's more happening in Madrid and in the south, Torremolinos first of all. A good idea is to check Instas of those porn stars that do circuits of these cruising bars, and if smth happens in Barcelona they would flag it in advance
