LOS Trip Report

Day 0 (lol) Travel Day.

Flight leaving Denver was 30 minutes late.  Not totally unexpected, as most things landing and taking off at Denver are always delayed.  Same for San Francisco.  Total of 20 hours confined on a flying tin can, plus an additional six hours in layovers.  Draining experience to say the least.  I moved to Denver from the SF Bay Area a few years ago and at that time the SF airport had completed their new international terminal and the older terminal buildings were undergoing renovation.  Was somewhat of a surprise to find the airport once again undergoing some reno projects.  Made for a very long walk from arrival gate to international departure gate.  At least it did not require leaving a secure area so no need to pass through security checkpoint again.  Next stop Taipei.  It has been many years since I have flown through Taipei for anything…probably 20 or more.  Back then it was still called Chiang Kai-Shek International and consisted of two main terminal buildings.  Now we are Taiwan Taoyuan International with terminals A, B, C, and D.  Naturally, our arrival was in Terminal D and the new departure gate was in A…thus another very long walk.  Certainly got my steps in on this trip.  Change in carrier from United to EVA.  Was reminded once on board EVA how much better the Asian carriers do at customer service and the food was pretty amazing.  US carriers in general are just bad all around…in my humble opinion…by comparison.  Somewhere between Denver and Bangkok I completely lost one day.  Wednesday just ceased to exist.  Arrival was 10:30am Thursday morning.  In my previous trips to visit with my Thai friends, they always had me arrive late in the evening between 11pm and midnight.  Not sure why they always preferred that…possibly work and family schedules…but the late arrival always messed up my internal body clock and I had a terrible time adjusting for a few days.  Since I was not planning to depend on them for this trip, I scheduled my arrival for mid-morning and I have learned that is much better.  Will definitely do that again.  Arrival was on time, immigration/customs was a breeze, and I didn’t need to wait on my checked bag.  I had completed the new online entry form prior to departure in Denver and printed it out.  Went through the priority line for seniors with no wait whatsoever.  My luggage was on the carousel before I got there, probably because of the distance I had to walk from the arrival gate to baggage claim.  These airports are so huge nowadays.  Thanks to recommendations from forum members, I had pre-booked with SP Limousine Service.  They provided very detailed info via email about where to meet their contact person, and it was seamless.  I think the entire process from deplaning to getting in the reserved car and on the freeway heading to my hotel was only 45 minutes!  I was amazed…and grateful.  Other than the travel duration, in general the trip was long and tiring but uneventful.

Day 1 Bangkok

Thanks to the many posts and recommendations from forum members, I decided to step outside of my normal comfort zone.  After all, this trip was all about me and having some fun…not spending time with my friends and their families.  Naturally, traffic from Suvarnabhumi to Silom was horrendous, so even though my entry to Thailand was smooth sailing, it was probably 1pm before arriving at Ibis Styles Silom.  Overall first impression was it was new, modern, and staff was all very friendly and helpful.  Check-in was easy and I was given a room on the 5th floor.  As per previous comments on the forum, rooms are definitely on the small side.  Since I have never stayed in a hotel here before, I really have nothing to compare it to.  For me, it’s fine, but with two persons for a week I imagine it would be very cramped.  View out the window was a bit unusual.  My room overlooked the back which was mostly low income family residences.  Lots of small, pieced together buildings mostly of steel siding and roofs or fiberglass.  Just not something I expected to see in the middle of Bangkok.  I would have thought some developer would have bought up all of that property and built another shopping mall or high rise.  However, it did make for some interesting people watching.  To be honest, I wasn’t really planning on much excitement the first day in BKK assuming I would be exhausted.  Those plans quickly changed.  Based upon several recent posts on the forum about using apps and how successful some members were, I decided to add Grinder to my phone.  While I did not post a photo, I was pretty honest about age and appearance.  It was like my phone was blowing up!  From the time I checked in to my hotel until my first ‘date’ was about 4.5 hours.  27 year old, originally from Surin, twink, very dark complexion and a real cutie.  Just getting off work at 5pm…where was I staying…could be here by 5:30pm via BTS…could we please meet.  I simply couldn’t refuse.  Met in the lobby then went up to my room.  No issues with front desk at all.  Nobody said anything.  Took a shower together and then had some playtime or as I like to say…did the wild thing.  Decided to go upstairs to the rooftop and checkout the pool, bar, and fitness areas.  Enjoyed some liquid refreshment and ordered some dinner at the bar.  Nice evening enjoying the Bangkok skyline from the outdoor seating area, food was good, although a little on the spicy side for me, and pleasant company.  Nice conversation over dinner, and then back to the room for round 2.  He headed home around 10pm.  I didn’t invite as I really was completely wore out by then and ready to just crash.  Oh, and not a MB.  All in all, a great first day and I surprised myself at being so adventurous.  Certainly helped with the jet lag to stay up and active until 10pm.  Had to turn my phone to silent.  Went right to sleep and other than a couple of trips to the bathroom during the night (normal routine) slept soundly until morning.  Woke up refreshed, hungry, and ready for more experiences.

Day 2 Bangkok - Part 1

Breakfast buffet at Ibis is ok.  Not bad, but not great, either.  Mixture of western and Asian cuisines.  Western doesn’t seem to have much variation from day to day…cold cut ham slices, potatoes, chicken sausage, toast or pastry and eggs cooked to order.  Asian has more variety, as I would expect.  199 Baht…don’t know how that compares to other places but convenient.  My original plan was to check out one or two massage shops I had on my list, but those plans quickly went south when I received a message from a really handsome guy originally from Phuket.  He has lived in Bangkok for approximately 13 years and is a supervisor with one of the bigger banks.  Anyway, he had the day off and wanted to know if I would be interested in ‘hanging out’, as he put it.  He is in his mid-30’s, very much a clean cut business type.  Not exactly what I could call a twink type, but certainly not muscular, either.  Plays badminton weekly with a group of friends.  Again, not a MB.  Anyway, we agreed to meet around 12 noon and literally hang out together for awhile.  Lobby at Ibis seems to be a good meeting place for me.  We walked down the street to Silom Complex and had lunch on one of the upper floors at a place called Banana Leaf.  It was actually quite good.  Enjoyed the company and conversation.  After that we decided to take BTS over to Terminal 21 just to browse.  I ended up buying a hat as I forgot to pack one and the top of my head will turn beet red if I spend any time in the sun at all.  After walking around the mall, went out in the neighborhood to look for a place to get foot massage.  Not something I have ever done, and would certainly never go to a shop that was 100% female!  LOL.  At least not on my own.  But it was really quite relaxing, professional and very legitimate.  I remember reading a recent post on here where someone had been to a salon for manicure and pedicure.  After the foot massage I suggested we try that and he was in agreement.  Both the foot massage and nail salon were between Asok and Nana BTS, but I would probably never be able to find them again on my own.  By now it is close to 6pm and we have spent the entire afternoon together.  We decided to return to the hotel to ‘take a rest’.  We first took a shower, but not sure how much resting we actually did.  Both guys from Grinder identify as gay and versatile.  After some play time and cuddling, we were both hungry and decided to get some dinner.  Walked through Patpong Night Market over to the next major street…possibly Surawong?  Not sure.  While looking for a restaurant we walked past Urban Thai, 2 Avarin, and Green massage.  Urban Thai appeared to be all female, but the other three shops had many…possibly as many as 30 guys between them hanging outside encouraging people to come in.  Decided to eat at Siam Cuisine near these shops.  Do not recommend this place.  Service was ok, but my companion said the food was not very good.  We had ordered two different shrimp dishes and an appetizer platter.  For me it was just ok, but he was disappointed in the quality and taste.  During dinner, we had some discussion about possibly going to one of the shows.  Not something I would normally do, but we finally decided to check out Moonlight.  We had some time before the show so did a little browsing through the night market, then had an iced coffee at Starbucks.

Day 2 Bangkok - Part 2

Thanks to all of you wonderful forum members who have described in detail just how the boy clubs function, I was somewhat prepared for what to expect.  We arrived at 10pm with the first show scheduled to begin at 10:30pm.  I knew from comments here that the likelihood of the show actually starting on time were next to nil.  lol.  We were the only two customers in the place.  They had 13 number guys rotating on stage in groups of four.  I am guessing you would call him papasan, immediately pounced on us to invite boy over to sit with us.  I wasn’t rude, but declined the offer, said we were a couple not interested in additional company, and just planned to enjoy the show.  That seemed to be accepted and we were left alone the rest of the evening.  During the first rotation/set the guys all wore yellow shorts and black tank tops that said Moonlight.  During the second set, they only wore the yellow shorts.  What was interesting to me is even though there were very few customers, and just the two of us for a good 25 minutes, the boys still did their rotation and basically just stood there.  They looked very bored.  Not sure I understand the reason management would have them just get up on stage and stand there when no customers are there.  Anyway, about 10:20pm another caucasian/asian couple arrived and papasan immediately made a beeline for them.  Next up was an older Asian gentleman that everyone seemed to know and I assumed to be a regular.  All of the boys were trying really hard to attract his attention.  Then two Asian young men who ordered a bottle of liquor and was sharing it with a number of the boys and models.  It appeared they were all friends.  A group of three Asians of various ages were ushered in to a special corner booth in the front section.  They, too, ordered a bottle.  Last customers to appear were two lesbians who truly sat in the back and made out the entire time.  All total there were 14 customers during the entire first show.  Between boys, models, waiters, doormen, and other workers, they completely outnumbered all of the paying customers.  Show finally started at 11pm with the models doing several numbers, both as a group and some individual.  Drag queen performed one number by Mariah Carey near the end of the show.  Models did not have numbers, so I assume they cannot be offed???  Waiters all had numbers.  Since I was with someone, I certainly had no plans to entertain someone else.  None of the waiters or number boys really appealed to me.  Would consider going back and seeing if one of the models, Mr. Boss, was available.  He is the only one that really did anything for me.  There were 9 models.  Towards the end of the show you could tip the models with what I would call a stole.  Out of the 9 models, 4 received a 1000 Baht stole.  During our stay, I saw 3 number boys leave with customers.  One other thing I noticed about the entire experience…the number boys all try to make contact with the customers.  Eye contact, body language, facial expressions…a lot of interaction from onstage with customers.  Models…never looked directly at the customers/audience.  When performing, they were always looking at themselves in the mirrors across the back opposite the stage.  Several of them looked very bored and disinterested…like they wanted to be anywhere else but in the club.  Keep in mind this is my first time visiting these clubs, so that is just my overall impression.  After we left the club, we headed back to the hotel, took a shower, did the wild thing, and fell asleep cuddling.  Was not ever discussed or planned as an overnight, but we both just kind of went with the flow of things and it was so late it made more sense for him to stay the night.  He had to get up early, go home to change, and then off to work.  Exchanged contact info with both young men from Grinder.  Not sure I will follow up with another visit from the first guy, but definitely want to see the second one again.  I could see myself easily falling for him.  Dangerous territory.

I visited moonlight a couple days ago. I agree with your comments, will write more in my report later. However I did ask the papasan. Models are offable. Models are 1000 baht off fee to the bar and number boys are 500, I never called any down so I don’t know their specific rates to take out.

Everyone has his personal favourite. Mine is Freshboys. I wonder if@jimmie50  could visit Freshboys and write a report. I am keen to know a newcomer's unbiased impression on it.

Your wish is my command.  lol.  Will try to visit one evening this week.  Please keep in mind that I am not a club person to begin with.  So, the adventure to Moonlight probably would not have happened without the encouragement of my new special friend.  When all is said and done, I am glad that I went and in reality we did have a good time.  That was in large part to assistance from forum members.  I kind of knew what to expect going in.  Clues on here about how to deal with mamasan/papasan being overly aggressive was extremely beneficial.  I just really felt bad and uncomfortable for the guys standing up on stage for such a long period of time without any customers in the club.  I could see little value on point in that from a management standpoint.  That's me, though.  Now that I know Mr. Boss is available, I just might be making a trip back to Moonlight one evening this week as well...but without any companion.  lol.

Day 3 Bangkok

I am beginning to feel like I am following in the footsteps of @FunFifties.  Not quite sure at my age I have the stamina to keep up, but so far am certainly giving it a good old college try.  lol.  Up early, had breakfast at the hotel buffet with my overnight guest, sent him on his way home in a taxi to change for work, and went back to sleep for a couple of hours.  Staying out until 1am is way past my normal bedtime, not to mention the exercise that was generated upon our return to the hotel room.  After being lazy most of the morning, decided to schedule an appointment at Prestige for an afternoon massage.  Since I have been there before on my last trip in August 2024, I sort of knew what to expect.  Depending on who you get, I think it is a case of your mileage may vary.  Made the reservation via LINE and decided to go for a 2 hour aromatic.  Gave them a short list of four therapists I was interested in, and one was available at 2pm.  Prestige is just around the corner from Ibis and takes about 5-10 minutes to walk there.  Took a shower and was ready to leave the hotel when I received a message on the app for a possible meet up this evening.  Unlike the first two, this one was MB wanting to know if I was interested in a massage.  Now, mind you, I was just about ready to leave for a massage a Prestige, but I thought…why not.  Go for it.  So I did!  I scheduled to meet him in the lobby of the hotel at 6:30pm.  Meanwhile, off to Prestige I go.  Massage itself was very good.  I like this shop for several reasons…newer facility, elevator, usually a good to great massage, plus the chance of extra services.  Something about the will it/won’t it happen game just intrigues me.  After about one hour into the massage, I noticed he had positioned my hands on the table in a way that he could rub up against them. Ok, that’s a good sign.  Then some light touches in strategic places when doing the upper, inner thigh and glutes.  Time for the turn over.  By this time I was in full salute, so he asked if I would like some special service.  Of course I said yes and the fun began.  The next 45 minutes were pure bliss and there was very little left untouched.  I am normally not a very vocal person, but at one point he had to tell me to quiet down.  lol.  I had selected the 2 hour aromatic massage which is 1690 Baht. Special service request was 2000 Baht, but I was in such a state of ecstasy that I gave him 3000 Baht!  At the conclusion we showered together before I made the 10 minute walk back to Ibis.  That would give me about two hours to recover before round 2.  After such an amazing afternoon, my evening appointment was more of a letdown.  Nice enough guy, but a bit older than I would normally entertain.  He came prepared with all the necessary equipment, but I was just so wiped out from the afternoon experience and just not into it as much.  My stamina is not as strong or virile as @FunFifties, I guess.  The massage was just a little over an hour and I was ready for it to end.  Exhausted and just wanted to chill out quietly.  This one only asked for 1500 Baht, so not a huge cash drain I guess.  Not sure what tomorrow will bring.  Have to see how I am feeling in the morning and what my mood is.  Happy to share the name of the therapist at Prestige privately if anyone is interested.  May be seeing him one more time before my adventures north on the bus tour.

Day 4 Bangkok - Part 1

There is a massage shop called The Master Gallery that isn’t located anywhere near other shops or what one could consider the gay area of Bangkok.  It is kind of out of the way and not near BTS or subway.  To be honest, I don’t even recall how I learned about this shop.  But, I have been receiving their updates via LINE and there was one therapist that I really fell in love with just from the photo.  Found their twitter account and even more photos of this adorable young man.  I have probably been dreaming about him obsessively for over a year.  I was warned on the forum by @vinapu not to get my hopes up on any one specific therapist because they come and go for many various reasons.  About two months ago his photo disappeared from their LINE and nothing new on twitter, either.  My heart sank.  I resigned myself to the fact I had missed out on this opportunity by distance and timing.  Oh well, I’ll get over it.  Then, recently I came across the name of another massage shop called Men Care.  I don’t remember where I read about it, but most likely it was mentioned by someone on this forum.  In checking them out I discovered they have three locations, with one in Sathorn area about 45 minutes walk from the Ibis Silom.  Too far for me to walk, so took Grab there and back. This particular shop is near the Ibis Sathorn and actually inside Tivoli Hotel for those of you familiar with the area. Anyway, I started receiving their LINE updates and also checked online to see if they had a website (Facebook & Instagram) and a twitter/X account.  While scrolling through the twitter account, it seems they have a relatively new addition to their staff.  And, even better, it is the guy I have been drooling over for months!!!  So I contacted them via LINE to ask if my preferred guy worked at the Sathorn location and, if so, would he be available for a 2pm session today.  The answer to both questions was a resounding ‘YES’.  Their therapists rotate around between all three shops, so whichever location is the most convenient for you is where the therapist will meet you.  The Sathorn location is literally at the back of the Tivoli Hotel.  Walk past the hotel lobby through the parking area to the back of the building.  There is a large sign, so you cannot miss it.  Enter through double glass doors into a large reception area with a formal, wood spiral staircase.  There are three levels to this building.  Reception area includes desk and comfortable seating.  It really is very spacious, as are the massage rooms, and gives you the impression it is a very expensive and exclusive spa.  Compared to other shops I have seen it is quite impressive.  The rooms are large and include private bath with shower in each room.  Tables are very large and wide with built in face cradle.  My only complaint would be the padding on the table is rather thin and can become uncomfortable after awhile, especially when laying on your stomach.  The tables are also very well made and sturdy.  I wasn’t sure what to expect, and had not read anything about these shops on the forum, so from overall first impressions I was thinking it would be strictly therapeutic and legitimate.  The therapist walked me up one floor to the room at the very end.  He was just as cute and sexy as the photos online. I counted five rooms in addition to mine on this floor.  I was invited to disrobe and shower and he would return in a few minutes…the usual routine.  I had selected a 2 hour aromatic just as I did at Prestige.  Just my preference, guys. lol.  Cost was 1390 Baht.  I was told in advance via LINE that tip would be 1500 Baht for my therapist.  I was also told he was Gay T/B.  It does vary by therapist.  Finished my shower and laid on the table.  Therapist returned with tray of supplies.  Ambience in the room is actually quite nice with calming music and soft lighting.  When I first laid down I had pulled the towel across myself since I wasn’t quite sure what to expect from this shop.  At first he did dry presses over the towel and would move it around as necessary.  He was actually on the table as he was working on my legs and back.  I would guess maybe about 5 minutes of this and then the towel slowly went away.  As he was still doing dry presses but straddling my legs I immediately recognized skin against skin.  He was naked, so there was no longer any question or doubt about where this was going to end.  Needless to say my fantasy played out in real time and certainly lived up to all of my expectations and then some.  Even if I wanted to walk back to Ibis Silom, I don’t think I could have!  I would definitely recommend this shop, and my therapist as well, but it is more on the pricey side compared to others.  No idea what the other two locations look like.  I would definitely be a repeat customer.  FYI: Prestige accepts credit card with no service charge.  Men Care is strictly cash.

Interesting development today.  Wasn’t sure what mischief I might get into this evening, if anything, after going to my afternoon massage appointment.  Had a text message from the app guy who I ended up spending pretty much the entire day and night with asking if I wanted to meet for a late dinner.  He would be finishing up at work and could meet me at the hotel around 8pm.  I am certainly not one to refuse an invitation like that, so told him to text me when he arrived and I would meet him in the lobby.  Wasn’t sure if there would be dessert after dinner, but I made sure I was freshly showered and ready for anything just in case.  Went to some Japanese place down the street for ramen.  Was ok…not great, not terrible…just ok.  He enjoyed his more than I did mine, I think.  His companionship more than made up for the mediocre food.  After dinner we walked back to the hotel and he came up to the room for awhile.  Attempted to watch some television, but didn’t seem to be anything available with English subtitles and it was just too awkward having him try to translate or explain everything.  Finally gave up on that, did some cuddling and casual conversation before the culminating wild thing.  He has to be at work early in the morning, so it wasn’t really practical for him to spend the night again.  Walked him down and out to Silom Road so he could flag down a taxi, gave him one last hug, then back to my room.  We may see each other again on Friday.  Need to be careful, because I could really fall for this guy.  I don’t know how @FunFifties did it.  This is only day 4 and I am completely exhausted.  Think I need a day of rest tomorrow.
