much older school than  you imagine and owing to that  in my travels  I almost never had that kind of issues , certainly not to a degree I need to resort to coal or pills. Shot of gin usually takes care  of those instead. And yes , I do eat street food and ice cream but avoid milk products in first three days I'm in new country. I don't drink water , raw or boiled at all  as I consider this preserve of animals.

I see that Vinapu has something in common with W C Fields, said he didn't drink water as fish fuck in it!

While technically true, also no known actor has won a Nobel prize. Having said that, Peter Handke won the prize for Literature in 2019 and has written a number of screenplays, plays, directed and produced a number of films.

A good trivial pursuit question, which Nobel Prize winner has also played first class cricket?

You probably had something more contemporaneous of your generation, like Chaucer. 🤣😂😅

Exactly, The Knight's Tale, I think. Conrad, Austen, Ben Jonsen, Keats, Pope, Shakespeare, naturally. Missed out on Beowolf!

Oops, sorry, I had Waiting for Godot in Theatre and Drama Studies, not English lit. For English lit I had a Shakespeare history play (easy), James Joyce (hard) and Larkin and Hughes. For some reason Chaucer or any of the more "popular" or "fun" texts wasn't offered at my school that year.
