Mostly in Bangkok but may go elsewhere like Phuket or Pattaya.

Perfectly  fine, and cheap. I only had basic pork with rice, but it was good, as was the beer! Early evening,  so no boys relaxing there!

Yes, the complicated pork with rice, usually from a female pig, would have cost you more.

I saw in several comments that some of us will be in Bangkok in early December... Maybe it would be fun to plan a big meetup together one evening and visit a few boy bars? 5 December is Rama IX's birthday and Father's Day in Thailand. Nightlife venues used to close on this day but I don't think they do that anymore? Perhaps they wanted to give all the (sugar) daddies a chance to spend time with their wards.  In any event, it will be nice and cool long weekend in Thailand. Enjoy!

According to the overview on the website below, December 5th is indeed a public holiday, but because it is not a religious day, there is no alcohol ban.

much older school than  you imagine and owing to that  in my travels  I almost never had that kind of issues , certainly not to a degree I need to resort to coal or pills. Shot of gin usually takes care  of those instead. And yes , I do eat street food and ice cream but avoid milk products in first three days I'm in new country. I don't drink water , raw or boiled at all  as I consider this preserve of animals.
