Today is my final day in Bangkok.  I'll check out of my hotel at 11am and have them store my bag until I'm ready to go to the airport.  I'm waiting to receive some Line messages about which masseurs are available.  Maybe I'll go to The Green for a midday foot massage that might turn into something more.  I've got 3500 baht remaining since I didn't off that second guy last night.  I did mention choosing a second boy to my Lao Freshboy last night but he didn't really react.  I got the impression that he preferred me all to himself or did not want to top a boy for me.  Maybe next time! I promised to let him know before my next trip and he's looking forward to being with me for at least a few days then.  We didn't agree on a price yet but I'm sure we'll come to an understanding and I'll obviously cover the off fees and all expenses during the time he is with me plus maybe 2k per day for him.  

 

A mini review of The Quarter Silom by UHG: It's my second time staying here and I've got to say I really like it.  It's in a great location with tons of massage shops nearby.  The staff have always been pleasant and I've never had issues bringing a boy back late at night.  There's a fantastic pizza restaurant attached to the hotel called 90 Grams.  I think I'll go there for lunch as I thoroughly enjoyed it on my last stay.  There's also a nice coffee shop underneath the pizza place that I like.  I always opt for the Deluxe room with bathtub and breakfast included.  Both times I've been put in building 3 which is unattached so I don't even have to go through the lobby at night. Both times I've had a view of 9-Teen massage so it's fun to peak occasionally at the boys as they set up and hang out.  I do think some of the boys are hot but I just get intimidated by so many guys looking at me so I usually just walk by and smile.  The breakfast is fine.  Nothing to write home about but the coffee machine makes cappuccinos and there's plenty of variety to where I can always leave feeling like I've got my money's worth.  The rate comes out to $125 per night.  They also have luggage storage and a bank ATM on premises.  So for my purposes I'll keep staying here until someone on here convinces me to upgrade to something fancier.  I usually only stay at Hilton's and Hyatt's because of my credit card points and free nights but I'm worried those hotels might be strict about joiners so I stay here.  

Haven't got a Line message today yet so I'll use Grab to get a motorbike ride to the MBK Center for some shopping before getting one last massage.  I haven't been on the back of a bike for about 22 years since I was in Vietnam at age 17.  Seems exciting.

I changed plans and booked a 90 minute massage with 15M massage in Saphan Kwai through Line with Taro.  Hopefully it’s worthwhile.  I will specify no penetration when it gets to that point because this is an H place from what i understand.

 

I wanted to be adventurous so i took a Grab motorcycle ride for 20 minutes. That’s exhilarating!  I won’t be doing that again. I was grabbing the rear handles for dear life.  I kept imagining the ways i could crack my skull in this traffic.  With about a minute left to go another driver at a red light said something to my driver and he promptly gave me a helmet.  Maybe he saw the police around or something.  I would have appreciated that dingy thing at the outset!

If you have a better option than the Grab moped, I would use it. But I have found in Bali and Bangkok, it can be the best option. 
 

I ask for the helmet. I hold the back hand grip with my right hand and put my left hand on the driver’s left shoulder. I lean forward looking over the driver’s right shoulder. I haven’t had anyone object.

No problem at those hotels.... the problem is their location, better to stay in the Silom/Suriwong area.

Can confirm no issues with the Hilton Garden Inn in Silom in terms of guests. Bit of a walk to get to Soi 4, so just grab a BOLT.

Ha,ha..  I am also wrapping up a two day visit to Bangkok. Huge thanks to the commenters who recommended Arena. Ten seconds after my walking in, a guy walked in from an adjoining room and I pointed and said "Him" as he was the only guy there with facial hair which for some reason has become really important to me. As it turned it out he's exactly what I was hoping for, older, he says 40, with a ruggedly handsome face,  a flat belly with some visible abs and beautiful brown skin. He's very pleasant and delightfully comfortable to be with. He says he grew up in farming country a few hours from Bangkok and showed me a couple of staged photos from when he was young in a farm field in traditional Thai clothing. He is exceptionally handsome in the photos and I asked if he had wanted to get into modeling and he nodded yes, but I'm not sure he understood me. When I asked he said he has a girlfriend. We've had two very enjoyable meetings and I will see him again tomorrow before my flight. 

I was also at Fresh Boy last night. I went about 9:30. I suppose old fat tourists are a target because they sat me in the front row in front of the stage. The guys were lined up doing a rotation on the stage. Most were too twinky for me, but one in his 20s started making faces and gestures at me and later sat with me for a drink. He said his name is Noah. He did a solo dance number as a cowboy and was a back up dancer a bit later. I told him I couldn't stay up to 1 am and he waved over a fixer guy. We settled on 3,000 for Noah, the house fee and a room upstairs. I assume they assumed it wouldn't take long for Noah get back downstairs and they were right. But I left happy, He's a sexy guy and I got a mouthful of sweet leche.

I'm not sure if it's @Olddaddy who often mentions the breakfast special at Foodland. But I went there this morning to get as much of the GayGuides Bangkok experience as possible. The Grab experience at the airport was chaos but once I realized the number on my confirmation was the car's license plate I calmed down and it went smoothly. 

Extra special thanks to @floridarob who has been so helpful and patient with me in answering questions about Asian destinations. It made a big difference for my first stop in Bali and several 'massage'nfun' guys can also be grateful. Cambodia is next.

Years ago, many motor bike riders (please not 'motorsai') in Boyztown were ex go go boys and would encourage you to hold them around the waist or lower.

Last three visits stopped at Hilton Millenium (points) and no problem with joiners.  They have a ferry to Saphin Taskin and Sala Daeng is only 4 stops on the BTS so about 20 minutes from leaving the hotel room to reaching Soi 4.  After midnight the roads are quite and a Grab is about 200 baht and 10 minutes back to the hotel.  Staying on the river was worth the extra time for me.  Used up all my point booking their for New Years night so staying rest of my next trip at Pullman G.  Old but comfortable very much more affordable and a nice walk in the evening to Silom 4.  Will be my second stay there, again no problem with joiners.

Pantanawet is correct here, the handle at the back on the motorbike is for maneuvering the bike in parking situations or onto the back of a bigger vehicle and is not supposed to be held by the passenger

Holding the handle completely unbalances the bike and guarantees at least a broken collar bone and arms to protect your face if you spill.

Hands should be on your knees, hanging by your side or around the drivers waist

Exception: if you are the third or even fourth person on the bike, then it may be wise to hang on to the handles!

At this stage the Pullman may as well rename itself to Pullman Gay, any time I have stayed there all I saw was gay couples and groups. Also notice a LOT of only fans movies being filmed there!

@Patanawet i just tried to keep my center of gravity as low as possible and not get in the way.  Just stayed in the same position. I saw some locals having a hand on their leg but my driver was taking off really fast sometimes where i didn’t feel comfortable doing that.

After taking the harrowing ride to 15M massage i went inside and was taken to the second floor.  The receptionist asked what kind of massage i wanted. I selected aroma oil.  I think i paid 550 for that and 1300 to Taro, all prepaid.  Taro took me upstairs to a small room with a matt on the ground.  He gave me a towel and directed me to shower in the bathroom/shower combo down the hall while he did the same upstairs. We both went back to the room in only towels.

Holding on to the handles at the back on a motorbike is dangerous. If the bike seriously buckles or bounces, you will be flipped off like an overloaded buckeroo (for those of you who remember the playing the thing in the 80’s).

however, I noticed that’s how a lot of straight men hold on when a passenger on motorbikes. I suppose they feel it’s unmanly to do anything else.

However, as a gay man, it safety first, and when I am on a bike taxi I put my two arms around the chest of the driver and cling on like a baby chimpanzee. So far I have not had any driver object.
